So a couple of weeks ago, before I saw the wicked movie, I was talking about the fact that on the Mattel toys and the dolls for Elphaba and Glinda, there were some boxes that were sent out that had the URL on the boxes for people to go to wicked. com. Well, that is not the site that you want to send kids to, to say the least.
It is a pornographic site. Now, when I did the story two weeks ago, I was like, I went on wicked. com and I didn’t see anything pornographic on it. It, you could tell it was for pornographic videos, but there wasn’t pictures of anything. It was basically just, what do you want to sign up for? Seven day trial, 30 day trial year trial.
And it was just talking about their vast library of videos. So I was like, what? Well, the story just came out yesterday again because a woman in South Carolina is deciding to sue because her daughter, who’s a minor was irreparably harmed by this. She used an iPhone to visit. Visit the website that was shown and to her absolute shock.
The website, wicked.com had nothing to do with the wicked doll. Rather wicked.com pasted scenes of pornographic advertisements across her phone screen. They were both horrified by what they saw. So naturally, what did people do in this country when they’re just offended by something they sue? Anyway, I went to it yesterday and now it is changed.
Now you have to click on, are you over 18 to visit this site? Clearly anybody that goes on it, even if they’re under 18 is going to click. Yes, I’m over 18. And then it brings you to the wicked. com page, which is different than it was two weeks ago, because this wicked. com page, while everybody is fully clothed, it’s It is very obvious what wicked.
com is now, what, what that site is. So I can see why the mother was upset. However, you’re not going to win this lawsuit. I’m telling you it was an honest mistake by the Mattel company, but she’s suing Mattel, maybe they’ll just give her a couple dolls for free or dolls for a year. I don’t know, but I can’t imagine this is really going anywhere, but just somebody else out there.
Was offended and decided to sue Mattel over this. Great. Yesterday I was talking colognes and perfumes and I had told you I saw a story on Us Weekly. It was probably one of those promotional stories that wasn’t a main story but it was just there for advertising and it talked about Taylor Swift’s perfume.
Like, whatever perfume she wore. And then when I went and Googled it yesterday, I was like trying to find the story again. And all I could find was a story that came up from September of this year, because at the VMAs she was asked by someone from RuPaul’s Drag Race what perfume she wore, and she said Tom Ford.
Well, scrolling Us Weekly yesterday online, I found the story. The headline said, Want to smell like Taylor Swift? Her rumored perfume is now on Amazon. So, according to this story Thanks to some internet sleuthing and a few Easter eggs, we discovered that Swift reportedly is a fan of Victor and Rolf Flowerbomb perfume.
Okay, can’t say I’ve heard of Victor and Rolf Flowerbomb. Actually, Flowerbomb sounds familiar. I didn’t know who Victor and Rolf was, but But remember when I read that story yesterday, this is definitely not one of them. It’s certainly not Tom Ford. And then I read off that list of eight that I found on ParfumPlus.
com of what she smells like. And yes, this story, the very first paragraph is shaded and it says, Us Weekly has affiliate partnerships. We never receive compensation. Oh, we receive, not never. We receive compensation when you click on a link and make a purchase. So this is just them promoting Victor and Rolf flower bomb.
And they’re saying Taylor Swift wears it. Which anybody wants to send me a Christmas gift. How about you send me Victor and Rolf flower bomb perfume so I could spray it on my pillow at night. And if you don’t think I’m kidding, then you don’t know me too well. Of course, I’m kidding. I’m not going to spray Taylor Swift’s perfume on my pillow at night.
Are you kidding me? I’m going to spray it on my clothes. Anyway tick tock trend. I want to end with this. So the tick tock trend that’s going around right now, you’ve seen this from a lot of people. It’s filming somebody running. And the person who’s filming says something about the person running that is supposedly not known.
Kristen Cavallari did one a couple of weeks ago and it was found out during that the person, her friend that filmed it was talking about how Kristen Cavallari, you know, suspect has X amount of guys on her roster, but keeps going back to the same guy or something. I might be mixing that up with somebody else, but stuff like that.
And so I guess my question now becomes. When someone does this tech talk, do they inform the person beforehand what they’re going to be saying? And then that person is just acting when they hear it, or is it done literally sight unseen and the person running is the one that is finding out for the first time when it’s being filmed.
I’m just curious. Not that that’s a big deal or not. Whether we’re getting a genuine reaction or not, but somebody had, I mean, Kristen’s kind of went viral because we found out things. Jason Tardik had somebody do it with him. And one of the things was suspect only dates women who have over a million followers, like something like that.
Did he know that was coming or is it just sprung on them when they film it? I don’t know. It was just a question I had, but the trend is very popular and I see everybody doing it. Jen did it with Sasha. Shocker. I think Brooks did it with Gleb. Shocker. You know, that’s the kind of stuff and they’re, you know, they’re revealing some things that maybe we didn’t really know.
I think the stuff with Kirsten Cavallari got out that she was hooking up a lot with Morgan Wallen at one point. A lot of people from Bachelor Nation are doing it, but I was just curious. Do they know ahead of time? And I just, I don’t know. I don’t know the answer to that, but if anybody does, let me know.
