Something else that is interesting as well is what became my obsession a few weeks ago, and that was when Wicked came out. I’ve seen it more than once, and I do want to say something that I noticed when you’ve seen the press for Wicked.
It’s mostly been John Chu, Ariana Grande, and Cynthia Erivo. And the thing that I’ve noticed when I’ve seen Ariana Grande in all her interviews, and I’ve said this to people on text before, Was Ariana is morphing into Glinda and all of her interviews, because you go pull up an interview with Ariana Grande during her pop star years, 2014, 2015, 2016, you pull up an old interview and listen to her talk 10 years ago, and now listen to her talk anytime she’s promoting wicked, it is totally different dialect.
It is totally different inflection in her voice. She is. Acting like Glinda in her interviews talking like Glinda still not as over the top, but very a lot more softer. It’s hard to explain, but if you’ve heard her promoting the movie, you know what I’m talking about. Well, she has suggested that the vocal alteration she made for the film.
Might be sticking around for a while. Quote, I think that might stay. Galinda required a lot of vocal work for me. Certain things maybe won’t melt away. Some will, but I’m really grateful for the pieces that will stay with us forever. What a beautiful thing to be left with and to feel the ghost of every day.
She said, maybe people underestimate how long we spent finding and disappearing into these women. So when certain inflections or mannerisms take time to melt away, sometimes people poke fun. But we had a job to do, and we had things to get lost in, because that’s what the piece required. And she said, there is a part of the world that isn’t familiar with what it takes to transform your voice, whether it’s singing or taking a different dialect for a role or doing a character, character voice or something.
She says, part of why I did want to engage with critics is because I’m really proud of my hard work and the fact that I did give 100 percent of myself, including my to this role. I am proud of that. So I wanted to protect it. And it was something that I had texted people in the last few weeks since seeing Wicked.
I’m like, have you noticed Ariana is morphing into Glinda? And here she is saying, yeah, I basically did. I had to get lost in this character to give it exactly what I wanted this Glinda to be. And probably what producers wanted it to be. So when you put that much time and dedication into it, it’s not just gonna disappear because you’re done filming the movie.
And I thought that was interesting. I have no issue with anything she said to variety in this interview, which was done because the Golden Globes are this weekend. She’s up for best supporting actress. I hope she wins. I hope Cynthia Arrivo wins for Best actress and I hope Wicked wins for Best Musical. I gotta believe it will.
What other musicals are out there this year? I don’t know. If, if it’s just best music or is it best drama and musical? Is that, is there two of them in the in the golden globes category? I don’t even know, but I thought it was interesting when I read this Ariana Grande story, it confirmed my suspicions because I’ve seen the interviews from 2013, 2014, when she was doing radio interviews, talking about how Glinda has been the role she has always wanted.
And let’s just say she doesn’t sound now like she did back then. Not even close. Really? It is just a totally different dialect that she spoke back then versus what she’s speaking. Now, she is very peppy in all these interviews. She’s she is Glinda. There’s no other way to put it. And she confirmed it.
So thank you, Ariana. I know I’m not going crazy now. Finally, I want to end with this, someone who grew up with Ariana Grande. They probably were on the same show or in the, maybe they did Mickey mouse club together or whatever it was. And that’s Demi Lovato and Demi Lovato has been engaged now for over a year.
And I knew this and I, I feel like I follow pop culture pretty well, read a lot of stories. Well, do you know who Demi Lovato is engaged to? If you’re a Demi Lovato fan, I’m sure you do know the answer to this. The thing is. I knew she was engaged. I knew it was to some dude, but I, if you were to ask me before I read yesterday’s story, I know I couldn’t have named him off the top of my head.
Well, this story says Demi Lovato and Jute celebrate new year’s Eve together. She posted on her Instagram pictures of them. It looks like they went skiing somewhere. Great. I don’t care what they did for new year’s. What I care about is Demi Lovato’s fiance’s name is Jute. That’s it. Just Jutes. J U T E S. I don’t think I knew this.
Unless I’m mixing him up with somebody else. I thought her fiance had a normal name. What is Jutes? Is that a nickname? Is it his last name that he just goes by? Is it his first? I gotta, I gotta Google this right now. What? I’m certain Jutes isn’t on his birth certificate. At least, not yet. I don’t think his birth certificate just says Jutes.
What is Jutes real name?
Okay, alright. His name is Jordan Lutes. People confirmed their new relationship in early August 2022. Who is Jutes? All about Demi Lovato’s fiancé. He’s a musician from Ottawa, Canada. What? They keep, they just automatically start calling him Jutes in this article. But his name is Demi Lovato. I was born Jordan Lutz, right?
About her fiance Jutes born Jordan Lutz. Okay. I clearly know how he got his name. He took the first letter of his first name and combined it and swapped it out with the first letter in his last name. It just goes by Jutes. So I, I guess I always knew this guy having a regular name as Jordan Lutz. When did it turn into Jutes?
Why does he call himself Jutes? I think. And no shame and no shade to be thrown against Demi Lovato’s fiance. This is nothing mean, but can you just go by Jordan Lutz, please? Can we just call you Jordan? Cause I think Jutes is just about the stupidest name you can come up with. I think it’s dumb.
I don’t get it. I understand people have nicknames. I just don’t like when I saw that headline, Demi Lovato and Jutes. What, who is, what is a Jutes? But that’s his name, Jordan Lutz. I thought that’s what I knew him. I didn’t know he, she had a guy that she was engaged to. That took the first letter of his first name and swapped it out with the first letter of his last name.
