I’ve got an update on the Las Vegas fan appreciation party slash 50th birthday celebration coming up on May 31st of this year at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay.
We’ve got an RSVP and I’ve got some more information on it. Three new reality shows start this week. One of them today, one of them tomorrow, one of them Thursday. We’ll go over those. Is there a new couple that was seen together at the golden globes, a Hollywood couple reports are they were seen kissing.
One half of the couple says, no, he didn’t. And then I will tell you about one of my guilty pleasures and we’ll get to all that momentarily. Let’s start off with the ninth annual fan appreciation party coming up on May 31st of this year, House of Blues at Mandalay Bay. It’s also going to be a 50th birthday party since that is the date of my 50th birthday.
Everybody knows that I’ve always had the party the previous eight years outside of one. It’s always been the first week of June. It’s always been the first Friday in June. I don’t know why I chose that date. It’s just what I chose. But when I looked at the calendar for 2025, I saw that my birthday, May 31st was a week earlier and it fell on a weekend, fell on Saturday.
So I was like, why not just turn it into both have the party, move it up a week. It’s after Labor Day weekend. So it’s not a holiday weekend because Labor Day is on the 26th. My party is five days later on that Saturday. So I was like, okay, so I’m sure you’ve heard this by now, but I think we’re officially in the stage of saying I’m running out of spots.
Now I still have plenty of spots left, but we haven’t even started bachelor season because there are a lot of people that literally just tune out to me, whether it’s my website or my podcast from the second, I guess the bachelorette ended from the second gen season ended. They didn’t tune into golden bachelor at, and they didn’t tune into anything, but they will be there come Monday, January 27th or grant season.
Okay. But they might not even know about the party because the only people that would know about my party. Or those of you that have listened to my podcast. I haven’t put it on my website because nobody reads in the off season. And the show hasn’t started airing yet. So, I think what I’m going to do is put out a video next week.
Put it on my Instagram Reels. But, there’s spots left. Plenty of spots left. But, we’re starting to dwindle down now. And I just wanted to let people know. If you heard me on Dave’s podcast, And my podcast this week, I just think it’s so cool. I mean, looking over everything and looking over the people who have RSVP for the party.
And we get it every year. Last year of the a hundred people that RSVP for the party. 25 of them were Vegas locals and everyone else was out of state. Just looking at the RSVP list so far, we’ve got Wisconsin, Sacramento, Philadelphia, Ontario, Canada, Atlanta, Washington state, DC, San Diego, Virginia, Phoenix, San Antonio, orange County, California, Seattle, Denver, Albuquerque, Chicago.
That’s the name of few. So. Yeah, we’ve got some Vegas locals right now. I think about 10 are from Vegas and I’m almost at a hundred that have RSVP now. Granted, because it’s my 50th birthday this year, I have a lot of people that I know that are coming almost close to 30 of family. Immediate and, you know, cousins might be coming.
So I have to set aside about 30 right now for family and friends. But regardless, we did get another RSVP yesterday, and that was from. Hot bench judge Rachel Juarez. She is coming to the party. She’s excited. It fits into her schedule So she will be there on May 29th, May 29th You know why I said May 29th because when I texted her about the party last night, she said when is it?
I said May 31st. It’s my birthday She goes, mine’s may 29th. So that’s why I said so Rachel will be there. So we’re excited to have her. She’s another RSVP Courtney Robertson and her husband are coming. Dave Neal and his wife are coming. She’s all batch is coming. So right now, those are the ones that are coming.
And if you have been in the past, it’s going to be a little bit different this year, because one, it’s going to be four hours long because the first hour, 90 minutes or so are going to be a live. Show because we have our own room. There is a stage. So have our own, we’ll have our own setup at the house of blues.
So it’s going to be a one hour live show then straight into just the reception where we mingle. It’s going to be a eighties themed party. So it’s not mandatory that you wear a costume. Or not a costume, but you dress up in eighties garb, but I would appreciate it. If you did, here’s something else that has just been recently added to the party.
We’re going to have a photo booth. I have a feeling that I’m going to have to set aside. A time for about 30 to 45 minutes where I just am hanging out at the photo booth because normally every year people want to get pictures, which is fine, but I don’t want to be mingling with people and then people asking, Hey, can we go to the booth and get a picture?
So I might just stay at the booth for about 45 minutes or so and just have people line up and do pictures that way. Cause I have a feeling that’s what people are going to do, but yeah, we’re gonna have a photo booth this year. Those are pretty cool. They’re going to have physical prints, portrait prints, and digital copies as well.
So really looking forward to it. So it is going to be probably the most, even if you’ve been in the past, this one’s definitely going to be different with a show, with a theme, with a photo booth, probably going to have a DJ as well, playing eighties music. I mean, this is, I wanted to go all out, you know, I’m, I’ve never been a big birthday guy and, but for 50.
Look, you only turn 50 once, right? So figured why not, but excited that Rachel Juarez is in and we will look forward to that. I’ll be promoting it for the next five months until we’re out of spots and. I will also be putting out a video probably sometime next week. In case you missed it this past Saturday night, I actually did a Q and a on my Instagram.
It’s up in my highlights. Just go to my highlights. It’s the most recent one in there. And in there, there wasn’t a ton of bachelor stuff that was asked about because frankly, we’re in a spot right now where nothing’s going on. Although one of the questions that was asked about. Was when do I expect grants women to be officially released by the bachelor nation.
com website and the Instagram pages. My guess is it’s coming this week. I don’t see why they wouldn’t do it this week at the latest. It’s going to be next week. Cause that would be basically a week and a half away from the first episode airing, usually if we’re going off of Joey season, as I said, in my answer on Saturday night.
We’re going off Joey season. It’s going to come out either today or tomorrow. And we have two and a half weeks before grants. They’re already starting to do more promotion on the bachelor Instagram page. If you want to check that out, they did a another teaser promo where about a lot of the women are crying, which is no different than they’ve done any other season, every season, you’re going to get a promo of quick shots of women crying at some point during the season.
And there’s probably 10 of them in there. They’re crying in the latest promo that they ran on Bachelor ABC. That’s nothing new. It doesn’t mean it’s going to be more dramatic than any other past season. Literally, they’re getting people on first and second night crying. So it’s not really that big of a deal.
The other question I got in regards to Grant’s season was basically any news on, you know, the ending. And I said, no, I don’t have the news on the ending. You’ve known for. A while now that your final three were Zoe Latia and Juliana. And then I told you Zoe was eliminated at final three. So it’s Latia or Juliana.
That’s who he’s with. I initially thought it was pronounced Lydia, but it’s Latia and he’s with one of those two simple as that. Hopefully I’ll find it out sometime soon. So this week we get three new shows. Even though they’re not new shows, but new seasons of shows that we watch and we cover on this podcast coming in the next three days, starting tonight, deal or no deal island returns.
We’ve got Parvati from survivor. We’ve got Dr. Will from big brother and some dude that is from, I think survivor Australia that apparently is very popular. He’s on the show as well. And then a bunch of regular people tomorrow. Is not only the part two of the challenge finale, but we also get special forces season three on fox We will get to watch that and then on thursday The first three episodes of traitors season three will drop on peacock.
And then I think they do, do they do one episode a week after the first episode, the first day three episode drop, or do they do like three, three, two, three, three, three, two. I can’t remember how they do it. I think that’s, I think it’s. 3, 3, 3, 2, or something like that. So three straight days, we get new seasons dropping of those three shows tonight with dealer and Odile Island season two, special forces season three coming tomorrow, and then the traders season three on Thursday, we have some more news in the Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni case, her lawyers are on the attack again and saying, look, this is not a, he said, she said, and this is not a feud.
They said. In a statement yesterday that their serious claims of sexual harassment and retaliation are backed by concrete facts. This is not a feud arising from creative differences or a he said, she said situation as alleged in Ms. Lively’s complaint. And as we will prove in litigation Wayfarer studios and its associates engaged in unlawful retaliatory astroturfing against Ms.
Lively for simply trying to protect herself and others on a film set. And the response to the lawsuit has been to launch more attacks against Ms. Lively since her filing. The statement continued, Sexual harassment and retaliation are illegal in every workplace and every industry. A classic tactic to distract from allegations of this type of misconduct is to blame the victim by suggesting that they invited the conduct, brought it on themselves, misunderstood the intentions, or even lied.
Another classic tactic is to reverse the victim and offender, and suggest that the offender is actually the victim. These concepts normalize and trivialize allegations of serious misconduct. Most importantly, media statements are not a defense to Ms. Lively’s legal claims. We will continue to prosecute her claims in federal court, where the rule of law determines who prevails, not hyperbole and threats.
So, like I said, this isn’t going anywhere, nothing new. We are going to have Rachel Juarez on to discuss this probably sometime next week, because she has read Blake Lively’s complaint, she has read Justin Baldoni’s lawsuit, and she’s got some thoughts on this. I think her thoughts are a little bit different than mine.
So it’s great that we’re having her on. Cause I do want to discuss all these things. And I think, you know, we’re, we’re so far early in this process. There’s so many things I want to ask her legally about this, her thoughts, her predictions about where this goes. Does it go to trial? Does it get settled? If it does get settled, are we ever going to know anything that really happened so much to go over with her?
But we will be discussing this probably sometime next week. So keep that in mind, not to mention the Laura Owens, Clayton Eckert, we will have an update probably on Friday because that’s when Clayton Eckert’s legal team has to respond to David Gingras, Laura Owens lawyer, his appeal that he filed back in December.
They got an extension through the holidays. It’s due by Friday, so we’re probably going to get it on Friday. Rachel will read that and we’ll go over it as well. And I might end up doing that in a live. I’m not sure how we’re going to break this down because I obviously anything legal that comes up, I definitely want to talk to Rachel about things and we will discuss it.
Maybe one will be alive and one will be the podcast next Thursday. I don’t, I haven’t decided how we’re going to do it, but. Prepare for a lot of Rachel Juarez in your life in the next week or so. And prepare for her to be at my party on May 31st. Very excited about that. Also excited to find out last night that Rachel Juarez is a big craps player.
So I can’t wait to roll craps with her as well. Rachel, if you’re listening, please roll for about 30 or 45 minutes. That’d be really nice. Be a lot of fun. Can’t show up at my party and crap out on the first roll. Doesn’t work. Did you see the reports on one of the after parties for the Golden Globes on Sunday night?
By the way, Nikki Glaser is getting rave reviews for her hosting job at the Golden Globes. As I thought, I didn’t think, as we know, comedy is subjective. There’s gonna be people out there that just don’t like her type of comedy and that’s fine. But when you look at Who covers that stuff. People that watch the golden globes every year.
And so many people are coming out in support of her, whether it’s people that were there, whether it’s fellow comedians, she’s getting a lot of love for how she handled the show on Sunday night. And hopefully maybe she’s going to be not permanent every year for the next 15 years, but I would think just based off Sunday night’s performance, she’ll get asked to do that again.
I’d be shocked if that was her only time doing it anyway.
