L+et’s get to deal or no deal Island. And when you read about this on the entertainment sites, I think it’s funny because.
Every time you want to say deal or no deal Island, most of those people that write about the show don’t want to write it out. Deal or no deal Island dealer. No. So last night on dealer, no deal Island. So they just take what the acronym then they, it’s just funny. It’s called Dondi deal or no deal. I D O N D I.
And. I’m deciding on whether or not I just want to call it Donde. So I don’t say deal or no deal Island every single time I talk about it. But on Donde last night, we got the introduction of Dr. Will, who we knew was going to be a contestant this season. They brought him in, in episode two, probably to make sure he Last a certain amount of time and you know this he couldn’t have been part of last night’s elimination He’s there to stir it up again.
I can’t emphasize this enough for people that watch this show This show is literally 90 to 95 percent luck. There is not a lot of skill involved. There is not a strategy maybe during the challenges In terms of, do you want to finish first till you pick the losing team or, you know, do you want to go for the middle and stay out of it or whatever the case may be, but in terms of getting to play against the banker, you can say whatever you want.
It is flat out pure luck. Now, if you were playing against the banker and you had clues, or maybe there was a riddle that said which cases had the higher numbers in them, then there would be strategy involved because then you’d have to be good at riddles or a puzzle, like if you solved a puzzle, it gave you a number that had a high.
Value in the suitcase, but that would be giving the game away. That wouldn’t make any sense because then it would be obvious of what numbers to pick. It is literally a crapshoot. They always have an even number of cases for the first two competitions against the banker. There were 12 cases, six of them had low values, six of them at high values.
This isn’t complicated whatsoever. We’ll get to that in a second, by the way. Did you know anyone who’s followed me for a long time? I like playing deal or no deal when I go to Dave and busters. So you get to choose that, you know, they, on the screen, they show you all, I think there’s 20 cases, maybe it’s 24 cases.
I can’t remember it’s 24 cases. They show you all the cases. They open up every case and you see which has the highest value in it. And then they. Switch around the cases at warp speed. It’s basically impossible to, to follow which case had the million dollars in it or whatever. And it’s all for tickets.
It’s all it is. It’s not, you’re not playing for money. You’re playing for tickets. But when I’ve played that game in the past, I thought, well, wait a second. What if I just record it on my phone and then play it back and fall and be able to see which had the, you know, 500 tickets in it. See which case had that play it back on my record it when it’s mixing it around.
Play it back on my phone at slower speed. I’ll totally know every single time. Well, the person who made the game I guess is smarter than me decided. No, no, no, no. Once we rotate all the cases around and try and scramble them up, you have five seconds to pick which case you think has the 500 tickets in it.
So yeah, you wouldn’t be able to do it in five seconds. Damn it. I thought I had the game beat. Anyway. So last night, again, I don’t even need to talk about the first 45 minutes of the game. It was just, Hey, run out in the water and go pick a case. And the top, the two lowest cases, the two teams and teams of two, the two teams that have the lowest cases.
They are in the bottom two the team that picked the highest case total which ended up being poverty’s team
Gets to choose which of the two teams Go into playing the banker and they will play the banker as a team of two if they beat the banker They will choose One person from the other team that finished in the bottom two to send home and if they were to lose One of them is going home be chosen by the other team that was in the bottom.
So playing the game Again, it was very simple. We’ll run through the game in the first round. They had to choose four cases. Two of them ended up being low amounts. Two of them ended up being high amounts. So their offer was 139, 000 from the banker. No deal. Okay. Second round, they had to choose four cases again.
So they were going to be down to four cases and only 12. So they’ve just chosen eight. And in the second round, one of them was a low Value case and three of them were high. So now you had four cases left, three low values and the highest value on the board, which was 1. 5 million. So the banker offered 281, 000 was the offer.
If you took the deal, then 281, 000 goes into the pot combined with what was in the pot last week, 1, 281, 000 goes into the pot. And if the briefcase that they chose. There’s four briefcases left, three on the board and the one in their hand, which was, I think, briefcase number nine. If the one that they chose was lower than 281, 000, then they beat the banker and they send one of the other two.
So here’s my question. I thought the banker wants to win. I thought the banker wanted to beat these people. If three of the four cases left are less than 281, 000, which they were, and there was one case out there for 1. 5 million. Why would your offer be 281,000 if they take the deal, they have a 75% chance of beating you?
I, I don’t, I don’t know. I didn’t really understand that. Why wasn’t the offer way less? You want to give them the least amount of money as possible, right? You want to give away as little as possible. I understand that they could have had, and I’m sure it’s all math but it just seems with three of the four cases, if they were to take the deal, they had a 75% percent chance of winning.
Doesn’t mean they were going to win. But yeah, they ended up taking the deal. 281, 000 went into the pot. They opened up their briefcase that they chose briefcase number nine and it had 500 bucks in it. So they were way lower than the offer that they took. So they won and the other losing team, they sent home Sydney.
Who, if you’ve watched the show in the first two episodes, she seemed to have a screw loose, just. A little off. Maybe she was intimidated. Maybe she just wasn’t made to be on TV. I don’t know, but she clearly was a little off. Everyone recognized it. Poverty talked about it. Other people talked about it on the show.
I guess they saw her as a threat. So they sent her home. So she gets sent home without even ever having to really play. She never got to play against the banker, but sometimes that happens on the show. But yeah, just a little confusing on why. With a three out of four chance. I understand that some people will get greedy and be like, no deal because they would have to choose two cases.
And if they knocked two more low numbers off, that number would have risen of what goes in the bank. So I get it to a certain extent, but, and yes, I’m going to repeat this probably every week when it comes to Donde. I don’t care who the banker is. It doesn’t matter that if it’s a man or a woman this year, it’s a woman.
They act like. Ooh, this banker is so sneaky. Ooh, I don’t like what they’re doing this year. Has nothing to do with whoever this banker is. It’s just the show, just they’re acting like so scared of this banker. And they speak in the, in terms of the banker, they speak like this person actually controls anything having to do with the game.
They don’t Jessica Simpson got divorced after 10 years to her husband, former NFL player, Eric Johnson. She released a statement. Saying that Eric and I have been living separately, navigating a painful situation in our marriage. Our children come first and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all the love and support that has been coming our way and appreciate privacy right now.
As we work through this as a family, this is one of the worst kept secrets in Hollywood. People have known for a couple of months now that obviously these two were on the outs because Jessica back in November was spotted without a wedding ring. We talked about this yesterday with Kelsey. It’s totally different from Kelsey because one Kelsey doesn’t have a wedding ring.
She has an engagement ring. And when you’re married for 10 years and you’re walking around without a wedding ring, yeah, there’s usually something that’s up not to mention in the caption on her images on Instagram, she wrote interviews in my Nashville music room where I unearthed my singular magic. This comeback is personal.
It’s an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve. That doesn’t really sound like somebody who was in a happy marriage. It sounded like somebody who was going to hard launch a divorce any minute now. So it’s been known, but I guess. Divorce papers were finally finalized, but apparently they haven’t been living together for a while.
She said that in her statement, been living separately in their marriage. So again, once someone like Jessica Simpson becomes single, the rumors are going to start. I’m guaranteeing she’s probably gotten a bunch of celebrities and athletes sliding into her DMS already. And. You know, it’s going to be news when she starts dating the next person, whoever it may be, because that’s the way it works in Hollywood.
But yeah, this was a not a very well kept secret. People pretty much knew that this was happening. It was just a matter of when and not if. And I wanted to end with this. I mentioned this in the open in regards to the Southern California fires. I’m not really breaking any news here, but I’ve always known that between back to the future and Beverly hills, 902 and 02 shows that were obviously filmed in Southern California, very close and personal to me because I was just such a fan, I was always like, I knew.
One of them, one of the houses involved in one of those shows, movie or show, Back to the Future or Beverly Hills 902 No, was in Altadena, at least the exterior of it was. And for some reason I had it in my head that it was Marty McFly’s house, but no, that is in Pacoima. And it wasn’t until A few of you sent it to me yesterday on Instagram.
There is somebody who stood outside Brandon and Brenda’s house, the Walsh house. The Walsh house was the one that was in Altadena and somebody went to Altadena, obviously one of the major cities that has been ravaged by the Southern California fires and went to go see if the Walsh house had burned down.
The answer is no. It is still standing, but what’s crazy is the house next to it is gone. So it’s one of these deals where it got lucky and the Walsh house is still there. It’s on Instagram. I don’t even know. It’s not a major site that covers it. I don’t even, I think it might be a person, but it’s making the rounds because that house where they film the exteriors of that, cause I don’t believe they filmed inside that house.
Maybe they did actually, you know what? I don’t know. I know for the beach house that Claire. And Kelly and Donna lived in, that was just every time they showed the beach house, that was just the exterior. That house is very famous in Manhattan beach. I’ve seen it numerous times when I’ve hung out in Manhattan beach in the past, all the shots of them walking in to the house or shots on the patio where they’ve had numerous conversations and things happen like.
Ray Pruitt and Joe Bradley getting in a fight or Ray Pruitt smashing a pumpkin on the patio, all that stuff was shot on a soundstage. Only the exterior of that Manhattan beach house was used. So that’s why I say, I don’t know if the Altadena house, if Brandon’s house was actually filmed in, or they just created a soundstage for that one as well.
There are people out there that absolutely know the answer to that question. They can feel free to email me today and tell me were the interior shot for that? My guess would be no, but I could be wrong. Anyway, Brandon and Brenda’s house, the Walsh house has, as of now survived the Altadena fires.
