There was a celebrity relationship hard launch yesterday, and you could honestly have given me, if you would’ve given me one of the two people and said, who do you think they’re dating now, I could have, you could have given me 500 guesses, and I don’t think I would’ve got the other person, like if I would’ve said, Hey.
Billy Ray Cyrus just hard launched his relationship yesterday. Who do you think it is? I guarantee I would’ve gone through 500 names before I got to Elizabeth Hurley. That’s for sure. And if you said, Hey, Elizabeth Hurley hard launched her new boyfriend yesterday, who do you think it is? Very possible. You could have given me a thousand guesses and I wouldn’t have said Billy Ray Cyrus.
Hey, love is love. I’m not taking anything away from ’em. Just, I think we’re all pretty surprised by that. No. Did anyone see Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley coming? I certainly didn’t. I don’t think A lot of you didn’t. If you’re being honest with yourselves, had they even like been seen together? Was this like even rumored, like they just hard launched on Easter in a kissing photo?
I’m like, whoa. Hey, now. I tell you what, Elizabeth Hurley in the first Austin Powers movie, I mean, that is an all timer in terms of the performance itself and how good looking she was. Like it was, there wasn’t a guy who watched the first Austin Powers that wasn’t melting watching her. And to this day, I mean.
What is she mid fifties now, and some of the pictures that she posts, she’s just like, guys are still drooling over her. Just an absolute beautiful, beautiful woman and she’s with Billy Ray Cyrus. Okay. Have to accept it to be accurate. She is 59 years old and. Let’s just say she don’t look 59, that’s for sure.
Alright, there’s a show on television that aired, I guess it’s season two finale last night that I’ve never watched one episode of, and I don’t really, I know it’s about zombies, but it’s called the Last of Us. And all the entertainment sites reported on the season two finale that happened last night, and they all had the same type of title in their stories, which was spoiler.
The Last of us talks about that character death, and they don’t want to give away the spoiler in the title. So if you. Are a fan of the last of us, but haven’t watched last night’s episode. I will give you a spoiler warning right now, so either mute it or fast forward. 3, 2, 1. I don’t watch the show. I know it involves zombies and I know that the Mandalorian is in it.
Pedro Pascal, who seems to be in everything nowadays, I mean he really, really has taken off. He’s gonna be in the Fantastic four movie this summer. He is the Mandalorian. He’s in this show. Maybe that’s why Spoiler alert, they killed him off in last night’s episode. He’s dead. Maybe because he has other work to do, and maybe this was this, was it all along?
Like, Hey, I’m signing on for two seasons. I don’t think the show is over. I think they are going to have a season three of that show, but he’s not in it. So. The only reason I bring it up is because I brought this up last summer because I was going to my third year high school reunion. I graduated high school with Pedro Pascal.
His name wasn’t Pedro Pascal in high school, it was Peter Balta and he was the theater guy. Everybody knew him. I think he helped co-write the senior play our senior year and. I know I spoke to him at some point during high school. I wasn’t in theater, I didn’t attend any plays, but I know I had classes with him or maybe a class with him, and I knew Peter Alita and then completely lost track of him after high school.
And Pedro Pascal, he adopted that name once he got into acting. And I would say his career has been on a very, very upward swing in what the last five to seven years kind of is when it’s taken off. So it goes to show like, I’m sure he did stuff when he was in his early to mid twenties. Right, but he’s gotta be 49 or 50.
If I’m gonna be 50 in a month, I’m sure he’s right around my age. Since we graduated together, I, I honestly don’t remember hearing Pedro Pascal’s name in anything movie or TV related before the last, what, five or seven years. But if I were to go to his, I don’t know, his IMDB page, I’m sure there is stuff that he did.
From 1997 after college to roughly the last five or seven years, right? I mean, just pulling up his Wikipedia and his filmography. Well, these are his acting credits. Why don’t they, it’s gotta be more than this. Come on now, by the way, Jose Pedro b Pascal, so. He went by Peter Balta and he just turned 50 on April 2nd.
So yeah, basically the same age. How? Let me go to his IMDB real quick. So I remember people telling me he was in Narcos, which was a, I believe it was a Netflix show, and that was between 2015 and 2017. 17. So he was in 30 episodes of that. So that was 10 years ago. I think that was the one that put him on the map because if I look at everything before that.
It looks like he was never in more than seven episodes of anything. He was on the Mentalist for seven episodes. He was on Game of Thrones for seven episodes. God, he was on. He was on an episode of Homeland. I miss that. I love Homeland. Red Widow. Four episodes, Nikita won episode and then a bunch of one-offs.
God body approved Charlie’s Angels. Law and Order. I mean, he was in a lot of shows, but just a bunch of one episode appearances. So it looks like Narcos was the thing that really put him on the map. And that was 2015. So basically his career took off at the age of 40, you know, and Narcos granted he had a bunch of work before that 2016 from 20.
From 1996 to 2016, just a bunch of one episode, two episodes here, four episodes here. He was in six episodes of The Good Wife, but a lot of shows you’ve heard of, but just one episode, appearance, A CSI, body of Proof. And then Narcos came. And he got 30 episodes and that’s, that was his big deal. But that was at 40.
So really cool to see him succeeding. We invited him to our 30 year high school reunion last summer, but I guess he was busy and couldn’t make it, so we just had a cardboard cutout of the Mandalorian and we took pictures with that. And finally I just wanna say this, I said it last week and I’ll say it again.
Because I watched WrestleMania this past weekend in Las Vegas night. One average matches great main event night, two great matches, horrible main event might have been. A bottom three main event in WrestleMania history just last night sucked. I don’t care who you are, even if you’re a Cody Rhos fan or you’re a John Cena fan, you gotta be honest.
That main event sucked because one, you’re comparing it to the nights before Main event, which was unbelievable. Great storytelling there between CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins, along with Paul Haman. And then to watch that last night, I mean. First off, no surprises whatsoever. I think most people thought John Cena was going to win.
Number two, no intrigue. No surprises. Travis Scott showing up is not a big deal, not a surprise. We still don’t even know what Travis Scott is even doing in wwe, why he’s aligned with anybody. And then the third thing, the biggest thing is you had the biggest heel turn in wrestling history when John Cena joined the Rock at Elimination Chamber, their last PLE.
Literally the rock is nowhere to be found in last night. We still have no idea why John Cena joined with the Rock, what the motivation was behind it. They haven’t explained anything. And then for The Rock, not even to appear at WrestleMania after he’s the one that made John Cena this character that he is right now, it just makes absolutely no sense.
They fumbled the ball big time, especially after such an awesome main event on Saturday night. Last night was a complete dud. With that said, I wanna point out what I pointed out last week. Can we stop it with the Jelly Roll being everywhere? Mr. Roll was at WrestleMania on Saturday night. My gosh. I So if again, I didn’t watch Idol last night, but if it was a live show, I would assume Jelly Roll had to be there.
But Jelly Roll I believe sang the national anthem on night one of WrestleMania Saturday night in Las Vegas. So my guess is he had to fly to LA to be part of last night’s episode. I haven’t watched it yet, but like I said, he’s everywhere. I’m Jelly rolled out, whether it’s grape filled jelly roll or strawberry filled jelly roll, whatever.
He is everywhere. And I just, Hey, if you love Jelly Roll. Absolutely. You have every right to, there’s nothing stopping you from liking Jelly Roll. I’m sure he is a great guy. I’m just over him over everything about it. He’s everywhere. He’s, he’s getting too much TV time. Too much. Anyway, thank you all for listening.
