Daily Roundup 5/2 – Possible BIP Contestants, More on The Valley, Some Possible Not-So-Great News For Laura Owens, & Jennie Garth Has Jason Priestly on Her Podcast

All right. I, I want to talk one little thing about the Laura Owens Clayton Eckard case because as we know, a judge denied David Ingris, Laura Owens lawyer, his reconsideration one day after. Clayton’s lawyers filed their response to the reconsideration. It was denied. There was no explanations given. I told you about it yesterday, what Jerris tweeted out.

But remember going back to the trial in June of 2024, which is crazy to think it’s been 11 months since Dave and I and a lot of other people were there that day. Just a surreal day to say the least. But it’s been a year. That was June 10th of last year. We went straight from my party in Vegas. Dave and I did and took flights took a flight to to Phoenix, and when Judge Mata, who was the judge who presided over the trial, the two hour trial, when she handed down her judgment, she requested or recommended Laura be looked into by the Arizona prosecutor.

County prosecutor’s office. Her name is Rachel Mitchell. You probably remember her from the Brett Kavanaugh hearings. She was made fun of. Relentlessly by SNL on the one SNL skit, which is probably a top five skit, in my opinion. Top five political skit in the history of SNL when Matt Damon played Brett Kavanaugh.

I mean, it’s 10 minutes of just pure genius, but you had to have watched the trial of Brett Kavanaugh or the, the hearing of Brett Kavanaugh that day. To appreciate the skit. I, they nailed it. It was Matt Damon was awesome because the other great thing about it was nobody was expecting Matt Damon to come in.

He’s not a regular cast member. He wasn’t hosting to just all of a sudden pop outta the blue and play Brett Kavanaugh. Anyway. They made fun of Rachel Mitchell because she was sitting there with a giant stack of papers on her desk and everybody basically disrespected her. Well, she is the county prosecutor in Arizona, who is how was recommended Laura Owens by Judge Matta to look into possible criminal behavior, and we’re coming up on a year now.

If you remember when Rachel Juarez debated David Ingris on my podcast two weeks ago. It seems like David Ingris let something slip where he said subpoenas are being handed out in Arizona. I don’t know if he was supposed to say that or if he even realized he said it, but the fact that nothing has been handed down yet was very, very interesting.

Well. One of the reporters in Arizona who’s been very vigilant in covering this case. Her name is Bianca Bueno. She was at a press conference yesterday for Rachel Mitchell. Rachel Mitchell was up there for I think, 45 minutes. It’s on YouTube, but Bianca Bueno cut out the part where she asked Rachel Mitchell, where are you at in the Clayton Eckard, Laura Owens case, and I’m just gonna play this clip for you.

It’s six seconds long, so it’s not very long at all. But this is what Rachel Mitchell said when she was asked. Where do you guys stand in the investigation on Clayton Nard and Laura Owens case?

I’m at the point, I mean, we are still actively investigating it. What I will simply say is stay tuned.

So, so to simply say stay tuned is a very, very interesting answer.

Because if this was nothing, and I, I don’t know anything, I haven’t heard anything one way or another, but you would think. A county prosecutor being asked that question. If this was a giant nothing burger and the Arizona prosecutor’s office was like new in the back of her mind, it wasn’t going anywhere, I don’t think you would say stay tuned just to say, oh yeah, we got nothing.

We’re not gonna charge her with anything. Now, it’s not to say it’s a hundred percent that she’s going to get charged. Laura Owens is going to get charged. I mean, just the fact that her lawyer, David Ingris says there’s no way Laura’s getting charged. Almost makes you think there’s a hundred percent she’s getting charged because David Ingris has been wrong about every single thing he has said about this case.

But I think that was very telling. It was only six seconds. That’s all she said about it. Actually, before that, when Bianca was asking her the question. Rachel Mitchell actually said, I knew you were gonna ask this, because Bianca said, I’ve been getting asked about this a lot, and Rachel said, yes, I know. I get asked about it every day.

So all the people that tweet at Rachel Mitchell, all the people that probably contact her office, she’s not lying. I, I’m not, I don’t doubt for a second that Rachel Mitchell has been contacted nonstop about what’s going on with the Laura Owens investigation. But to say that and say stay tuned. Would you really say stay tuned for something that’s ends up being ultimately nothing?

You wouldn’t think so, but that’s just my outside opinion. Did I ask Rachel Juarez this and did she say, wow, that was revealing? Yes, she did. So she agrees with me that saying, stay tuned seems to be more than, oh yeah, we’re gonna give her a slap on the wrist. But again, that’s just two people speculating.

Alright, I want to end with this. You know that Jenny Garth has the 9 0 2 1 OMG podcast where her Tori Spelling and producer Amy Sugarman, watch an episode every week and give a recap on it. It’s one of the worst podcasts out there because Jenny Garth has admitted she has a horrible memory and.

Literally when she watches these episodes, she doesn’t remember anything. She doesn’t remember. She can’t add any insight to the episodes ever. She has no idea what’s upcoming in future storylines. So when they’re watching a particular episode, she’ll ask questions that. Are going to be answered later on if she knew anything about any of the other storylines of anything happening.

Not even in just her own character, but with, you know, season seven we’re dealing with Brandon and Tracy. We’re still still with Stephen, Claire, David and Valerie are on and off. So it’s just, it’s so frustrating to listen to that podcast. And for me, I just, I gave up, I’ve listened to one or two episodes and I’m just like, I cannot believe how little they add.

You know, I know other shows do this, you know, the Boy Meets World does it One Tree Hill does it? It seems like I don’t listen to those either, but it seems like from the things that I have read, that those podcasts really do a deep dive and those actors and actresses that come on and talk about the episodes really give you a lot of insight because they actually, I don’t know, care or remember what happened.

Jenny doesn’t remember anything. She literally remembers nothing. I know more about every storyline on 9 0 2 1 oh than Jenny Garth does. Well, anyway, she started a new podcast called I Choose Me, which is a takeoff of what happened at the end of season five, where Brandon proposed to her. Dylan offered her a trip around the world and.

She rejected both of them and said, I choose me. Well, she has now started a podcast called I Choose Me, where she interviews people and talks about their I Choose Me Moments and has kind of made this about herself now. Well, she had Jason Priestly on the podcast and I actually listened to all one hour of it.

And again, she told Jason she’s currently doing a rewatch of Season seven and. Again, Jason would ask her a couple questions and she’s just like, I don’t remember. I don’t know. Hell, she even asked Jason, didn’t you get in an accident? Like she didn’t even, even if you didn’t remember the details of Jason’s accident, which you probably should, because the guy Literallys heart stopped beating after he got in a car wreck when he was racing.

Indie Lights in Kentucky. Back in 2002, I believe it was either oh two or oh four, he literally almost died. He had to be medevaced off of the course and has said in numerous interviews, his heart stopped on a couple of different occasions, and Jenny said on the podcast, didn’t you get in an accident? How about doing some research and actually look it up?

Would that be hard to do? Anyway, it was a very frustrating hour to listen to. I’m sitting there, Jason Sharp as attack. He remembered a lot about season seven. There were some things that he had to be refreshed on. He mixed up a season here or there, and he thought something happened in season seven when it actually happened in season six.

But he did remember most things. And Jenny again was a little clueless like the I Choose Me moment. When she brought it up, he thought the I Choose Me moment came, and he might’ve just misheard her. He thought it was when he asked her to marry him and she said, I choose me. She’s like, no, no, no, no. At the end where you and Dylan were both standing there outside of the peach bit.

And then he is like, oh yeah, that’s right. I remember that. And then she asked him what he felt in the moment and he said, him and Dylan both really liked the storyline. They liked that. Normally you see a woman is going to choose on a show like that. She’s going to choose which guy she likes better. And it was just, he got, he, he thought that was a really cool storyline.

But that was basically the only thing that Jenny seemed to remember a a about the show. In her conversation with Jason, I would tell you to go listen to it, but if you are a 9 0 2 1 oh nerd like I am, you’ll be frustrated because it is just unreal. How much, and, and I think Jenny has said she’s got some sort of condition of memory loss.

She doesn’t have Alzheimer’s or early onset dementia or early onset, I don’t think, but she, I think she has said she’s got a mental condition. To where she doesn’t remember anything from filming, which I’m not gonna tell her. Well, then don’t do the podcast. I, I’m just saying it doesn’t add a lot to the podcast when she, she doesn’t add anything to the podcast when she can’t add anything to the podcast.

She doesn’t remember storyline. She has no idea where any storyline is going. Most of the stuff that she says ends up being wrong. It is. You know, you’d be like, then why’d you listen to her? Talk to Jason? I don’t know, because I thought it’d be better. Boy, was I wrong. I, I did like hearing Jason speak about the show.

Thought it was cool to hear him say that during Covid. His 12-year-old daughter, or 13-year-old daughter at the time started watching it and they watched it from the beginning and then she, he said they watched about a season and a half, and then the daughter was like, yeah, I think I’ve had enough dad.

So, but see, the first season and a half of Beverly Hills oh two is, is not even what it was by, you know, the college years. I still think the high school seasons were way too hokey. Way too campy. It was campy in college, but it was still a little bit more mature. The high school ones. While they did tackle plenty of topics in the high school episodes, I just, it just didn’t look as good and it looks outdated and old, but, so I don’t fault his daughter for quitting after a season and a half.

But if you wanna check it out, it’s the I Choose Me Podcast with Jenny Garth. It’s the latest one on there. It was just, yeah, it was kind of frustrating to listen to. Anyway, thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it. Follow me on Apple Podcast. Also rate and review, but you gotta hit play. It’s the only way it counts as a download Sports Daily coming up in an hour from now.

If you wanna check that out, have a great weekend everybody, and I’ll talk to you on Monday.

See.
