That’s Zocdoc ZOCD c.com/reality. Steve zocdoc.com/reality. Steve. Bachelor in Paradise, as we know, got underway filming in Costa Rica this past Saturday. No spoilers yet. Still very, very early in the process. There are only three days completed of filming, and I was thinking about this, was texting with somebody over the weekend in regards to Bachelor in Paradise because.

As we know, a lot of people get to show up on Paradise at some point during the season, assuming they keep the same format, which is for the first nine seasons, it was let’s start with an original cast and then let’s bring people in. Everybody that comes down to the beach comes down with a date card and they get to ask somebody out, and usually it’s.

Obviously done by production of who gets allowed in at what time, and they’re usually going to go for the highest drama. So if somebody just had a date on the beach, the person that they’re gonna bring down to the beach next is interested in one of those people that just went on a date with somebody else.

So they want to cause drama. I’m assuming this is how the show is gonna go, but like I say, it’s under a lot of new production. It’s got a new show runner. We honestly have no idea how they’re going to change up Bachelor in Paradise if it’s gonna be a lot, if it’s gonna be a little. We just don’t know, but started filming this past Saturday, but it got me to thinking and I had to go back and do this.

And I looked at the Wikipedia for all previous nine seasons because as we know, the cast seems to get bigger every season. And I was like, didn’t it, didn’t it get bigger every season of the nine? I was right up until the last season, so the first season of Bachelor in Paradise in terms of how many people showed up.

At some point during the season, 25 people showed up, and in season two they had 29. Then in season three they had 30. Then in season four they had 33. Season five, they had 35. Season six, they had 38. Season seven, they had 41, and then season eight they had 43 people show up. Now, remember season eight, if I’m not mistaken.

That was the last time, well, that was the time they introduced Casa Moore, which was basically a ripoff of what Love Island does, where halfway through filming, they separate the men and the women, and then they bring in a whole new batch of people and they brought in 10 new people. They brought in, I believe, five new women and five new men on that season.

They got rid of that for season nine. But if you remember, and I totally forgot this until I looked it up, because. Bachelor in Paradise, while it hasn’t aired for two years now, it’s not something I think about at all until I start getting spoilers and the, the show starts airing and then I cover it, and then we’re onto the next season.

So, a lot of this stuff I’ve forgotten I couldn’t have named. I, I, the only thing I remembered was I remember the cast body count going up every season. Well, season nine only had 30 people. Which literally is the third tied for the third lowest that they’ve had in nine seasons. But it went up, as you know, as I just read you all the cast body counts every season.

It went up until season nine. They went to 30, which. If you think about it is probably the right number. You don’t need 43 people. 43 past contestants showing up on a past season like they did in season eight. That’s just too much, and I can’t remember all 43. Obviously, I could just sit here and read ’em off Wikipedia if you wanted me to, but I could tell you right now without even looking at the names, there’s probably eight to 10 of those where the season would’ve been fine if those people didn’t show up.

Just because it just seemed to be overkill at that point. And one of the main complaints that I think a lot of people have when it comes to paradise is these people that are showing up one or two days before the final Rose ceremony, where the host has to deter, it tells everybody, Hey, you gotta decide right now.

Are we staying together and going to the overnight suites? Or are we breaking up? It’s just like, dude, these people just got here 24 hours ago. You can’t put that on them. It’s just dumb. So I hope they take that out of it, but I also think that they are going to probably stagger people arriving or, I don’t know, maybe they’re not.

Maybe it’s just like, Hey, whoever original cast is, that’s the whole cast for the season, but I have no idea how they’re doing it. We won’t know until spoilers start coming out. The other thing that I looked at. Which was interesting to me. Again, once the season ends, I usually forget it. I can remember, you know, people that got engaged on Bachelor in Paradise, but I don’t, I, if you asked me who got engaged every season and had me do it off the top of my head.

I’d maybe get, I don’t know, 60, 70% of ’em right, but not all of them. So I was talking about this and Season seven, which is the one that had 41 people. That has been the most successful season of Bachelor in Paradise. And again, I didn’t realize this until I looked at the cast list. There’s four couples from Season 11 that are not only in, not only still together, they’re married and let’s see, one.

One of ’em has kids, but that’s four couples that are married from the same season. Now, only two of those four couples actually got engaged at the end of that season, which, which makes it even more amazing. That was the season that Serena and Joe and Kenny and Mari got engaged at the end of the, in the finale.

But there are two other couples from that season that have, were broken up on the show. That got back together post-show and are now married, and that’s Becca and Thomas and Noah. Abigail and Becca and Thomas are the only one outta those four couples that has children as of right now. But I didn’t realize that until I looked at it.

I was like, wow. Four married couples from season seven, I think, in the history of the Bachelor and Bachelorette, which is 50 seasons after Grant’s season just aired off the top of my head. I think we have currently. Six or seven married couples in terms of the lead and who they chose at the end, are they still married to this day?

Obviously you’ve got Jason and Molly and Lauren and Ari, who, I’m not counting them because I. They didn’t choose that person at the end of the season or didn’t choose Lauren and Jason didn’t choose Molly. I’m not saying that their marriages are meaningless or anything like that. I’m just saying for the sake of, Hey, you’ve had 50 seasons of the Bachelor.

How many of your couples are still married? Well, we know that there’s only been one bachelor that married the final girl that he chose, and that is Sean Lowe. We’re getting very close with Zach and Katie. Well, I’m not mistaken. Zach and Katie are getting married this summer, so that’ll be number two. And you know, we still, the jo, you know, Joey and Kelsey seem to be going strong.

Same with grant and Juliana, but Grant and Juliana, they’ve only been a few months, so we gotta give that a time. But so we have one in Bachelor. And off the top of my head, how many in Bachelorettes are still married? I, I wanna say four, five, but I don’t, I don’t wanna go through the list right now, but all I’m saying is we have four married couples from Paradise Season seven.

And then you’ve got other ones from past seasons that are still together. So really interesting there. I talked about the rows. Thing yesterday, rose from grant season, who took to her TikTok to say reality. Steve was so wrong. I’m not going to paradise. I gave you my feelings on that yesterday. It’s not nearly as big of a deal as she made it out to be, but ex, ex, what’s the word I’m looking for?

Exacerbating. Is that the word exacerbate? Exa. I think you know the word I’m looking for, making it even a bigger deal, was US Weekly on Sunday night, made it a story on it. They made it a story on their website that Rose Som Key was not going to be on Bachelor in Paradise. And the first sentence says, rose Soki addressed rumors that she was gonna be on Bachelor in Paradise.

Put out there by Steve Carbone, also known as Blogger Reality. Steve. I’m like, it’s bad enough that Rose took to TikTok to let people know that she wasn’t gonna be on Paradise. Like I, maybe it was again, maybe it was a slow night for us Weekly, but again, that wasn’t news. How about, how about it? It’s funny that they’re gonna say that as a story, but won’t put out there that, Hey, these are the people that reality Steve did report are down in paradise.

And are gonna be on the season this year. Isn’t that more interesting to people that are interested in watching Bachelor in Paradise? Who’s going to be down there versus who isn’t? Again, I, I don’t understand some of the editors at these news places and these entertainment sites, but this has been going on for years.

It’s just silly at this point. I can’t believe they made that Rose announcement a, a story, but is what it is. One final thing about Bachelor in Paradise, ever since I’ve been talking about Bachelor in Paradise, outside of one day, I keep leaving out the Golden Bachelor’s. They’re filming down there as well.

They’re filming. I don’t know what the setup is, how much time, how much camera time they’re gonna get. I’m, is it gonna be 50 50? Are they gonna spend 75% of the time on the younger cast and only give the Golden Bachelors 25%? I think the show really put themselves in a pickle by allowing the Golden Bachelors on this season.

And I’ll tell you why. Because if they split camera time 50 50 between the Golden Bachelor people and the. Younger cast from the Bachelor and Bachelorette, people are gonna be like, people are gonna complain that they don’t get to see the younger people as much. And then if they give more time to the younger cast, there will be people that complain that said, why did you even invite the Golden Bachelors out to the island if you’re not gonna give them equal camera time?

And then if you give more camera time to the Golden Bachelors and less Camera time to the Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants, there’ll be people complaining, saying, well, why did you give the Golden Bachelors more camera time than the younger crew? It’s coming. Just expect it. And I don’t know who’s gonna keep track of camera time between the two.

What I can tell you is this, obviously we know Gary and Leslie are down there filming. For Bachelor in Paradise. Another name that I know is down there, her dis over the weekend, and this should come as a surprise to nobody, is Kathy Swartz, who does the podcast with Susan Knowles. Susan Knowles, recently like.

A week before people left for Bachelor Paradise filming hard, launched a new boyfriend. Well, Kathy is down in Paradise looking for love, so you can add that name to the list of people that are down there, but you don’t have a lot of men and women. There’s only been two seasons, so it’s really not hard to figure out who might be going down to Paradise from the Golden franchises.

Like the thing is, off the top of my head, I don’t remember all their names. I remember Charles l. I’m sure he’s down. Like I have not heard one thing. I don’t really hear a lot about Golden Bachelor stuff, but they love Charles L. Why wouldn’t he be down there? Unless he recently started dating somebody.

I’m pretty sure he’s gonna be down there. The show absolutely loves him. Hell, the audience loves him. And then the women from Gary’s season, you could pretty much determine who’s gonna be down there just by finding out who’s still single.
