Daily Roundup 5/14 – Last Nights Episode of The Valley, Why Jesse is More Redeemable Than Jax, What Night is Golden Bachelor On, & Latest TikTok Trend Has Me Mind Blown

You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality. Steve Podcast, I’m your host reality. Steve, thank you all for tuning in on this Wednesday. You know what Wednesday is? We break down last night’s episode of the Valley. A lot to talk about in regards to last night’s episode. In addition to what we heard on watch What Happens live afterwards, as Andy Cohen had, Jesse Lally and Danny, is it Buco or Boco?

I thought it was Buco, but I could have sworn Andy Cohen called him Buco. Either way, talking a lot of the Valley. We’re also going to tell you about the Golden Bachelor. Scheduling it is on the schedule for the fall, and I’ve got to discuss this new trend I’ve seen on TikTok and I am just flabbergasted at some of the answers I’m seeing on this, and we will get to all that momentarily.

Let’s get started. Last night’s episode of the Valley. Another good one. A lot of drama, a lot of back and forth, although I will say skipping to the end to begin this. I thought that was one of the weaker endings in terms of drama, and I’ll tell you why once we get to that, but we’re kind of going in chronological order here.

And the first thing that I pointed out and I wanna point out is Jack’s rage texting Brittany. I. From rehab, they showed his texts on the screen. So of course I had to pause the screen, take a screenshot, and the texts that they showed were her. It was him saying to her, you took my son from me. Disgusting.

I am doing this for my son. My God, your family is the most, I’m assuming he said, fucked up because blank up I have ever seen, and they would never do what you did. You took my job away from me. I’ve worked so hard for two years for this, and you took it from me. Oh my gosh, this guy. Any accountability at all, any, this is all Brittany’s fault.

Brittany’s fault that you’re a Cokehead. Brittany’s fault that you have an alcohol addiction. Her fault that you needed to get yourself into rehab didn’t have anything to do with the fact. That you literally endangered your own wife and she doesn’t want you around their kid. Under that type of behavior and under the influence like you’ve been using for so many years, like, this guy’s infuriating.

You took my job away from me.

If she didn’t convince you to go to rehab, I’m guessing the show would’ve forced you. So whatcha gonna do rage? Text them too. We all know he probably leaves rehab within the next episode or two, whatever it’s called. I wouldn’t even call that rehab if you’re allowed, if you’re allowed to be in a facility and have your phone on you at all times, that’s not rehab.

So wherever he checked in mental wellness place, whatever it was, it clearly wasn’t a strict rehab center or else he wouldn’t be able to have his phone all day and rage text his ex-wife the whole time. So those were the taxi center. And again, should we be surprised by any of this? These aren’t the texts of a sane individual.

This is a guy who literally blames everybody else for his problems moving on. When they were taking the van to Santa Barbara or to the winery, they were already in. Santa Barbara, took the van to the winery. As, as, as funny as I think Jesse ha can be at times. He’s got some good one-liners. I don’t approve of anything the way he talks to his wife clearly, but he’s got good one-liners when he is just in the confessional talking about the show or other couples.

But Jesse is one of my biggest pet peeves is when it comes to other people, man or woman, is I just can’t stand. People who get so touchy feely during. Drinking when they’re so drunk and they do what Dan, what Jesse did on the bus, lay on people, grind on them. These people just want to be in a, in a van ride to a winery.

They don’t need you laying all over them or grinding on them. And it just, it drives me up a wall. So Jesse is not the type of drunk that I like. And it’s just, I, I’ve been around these people. I used to have a buddy of mine that every time he drank, he would constantly give me titty twisters. And I’m like, what?

What are we in fifth grade, man, knock it off. It just, it’s so, because especially when you are sober and the person you’re with has been drinking a lot and they’re just so. Constantly in motion and constantly doing stuff and handsy and punching your arm. It’s like, ugh. Drives me nuts. So, Jesse, not a drunk that I like now, you know, I’ve been keeping a tally all season long.

On, at some point during every episode is one of the women gonna mention their vagina, something that they did do it, something that was done to it at one point. We didn’t get the word vagina last night, but as is the case with a lot of these couples, they love talking about something to do with how they are sexually, and what did we find out last night?

You knew this was coming up when they were all wine tasting and somebody was saying, no, you gotta swallow it all. And, and then Brittany offers it up that she’s a swallower. It’s like, okay, we, it’s such a low hanging fruit that I will also throw it in the category of, once again, somebody on the show is going to say something sexually inappropriate and come to find out that even though she spit out the wine.

She did say that she was a swallower, so Great. Thank you, Brittany. Appreciate that. The biggest part of the episode last night, I think, how could it not be is Jesse and Michelle’s fight where I. We see him in the confessional saying, when I get triggered by Michelle, I don’t know how to diffuse the situation.

And once again, clearly these confessionals are shot after the season. So clearly they made show to, made sure to show that confessional, knowing they were gonna show it right before the clip where Michelle tells him You’re a disaster. And he says, yeah, but you’re a hooker. So it’s fine. And I, I will say this clearly unacceptable.

I will say this for Jesse. Which is the complete 180 of Jack’s. If you watched, watch What Happens Live with Jesse. The first question out of Andy’s mouth was, what do you have to say for yourself? Recalling Michelle a hooker on tv, and he said, you know, this was a year ago. Obviously I knew the episode was coming up and took full accountability for it.

Said he never should have said it, and he’s now gonna have to have a conversation with Isabella when she gets older and sees this. So. That’s all we kinda want out of Jax. We want Jax to finally admit to stuff and stop acting. If Jax were asked the same question, if Jax called Brittany a hooker and then was sitting there on watch what Happens live and was asked the same question, I guarantee his answer wouldn’t have been what Jesse’s answer was because he can’t take accountability for anything.

Jesse took full accountability for it and come to find out later on in the episode, it looks like him and Michelle are in the best place They’ve been in a while, so it looks like good. They are working on things because their marriage was a disaster so far in this season, like all season long so far.

But Jesse is hinting towards the fact that I know a lot of people don’t like me now, but as the season goes on, I think you’re gonna see Michelle and I get to a better place. Doesn’t wanna give any spoilers away, but it looks like at the end of the season, they’re in a better place. And he was flat out asked by Andy, where are you guys at right now?

And he said, I think we’re in a really good place. Whatever that means in their world. I mean. Right now what we’re seeing on the show is their relationship is in hell. So maybe it’s one step above hell, maybe it’s 10 steps above hell. But at least he was honest and said, never should have said that about my wife.

Unacceptable. And yeah, I’m gonna have to talk to my daughter up about this one day when she sees it, and I shouldn’t have said that about her. So I appreciate that. And then they had their fight outside, which was another bad look. Because a lot of it is chopped up, so it was tough to see, but they really dove into some things and Michelle really called him out for spending all their money.

Watch what happens live. Jesse says, that’s not true. I did not spend all our money, so it’s tough to know who’s being honest with that. She did throw a drink in his face. I couldn’t tell if it was water or if it was wine. Either way, she was fed up with him. Jesse seemed to really. Instigate the fight. He was the one she came up to his room and he said, can we talk?

And then they literally got into it 10 seconds later. So clearly during this time, remember this was filmed a year ago. During this time, these two are just very, very toxic, and there’s just no reason for them to really be in the same room together. She probably shouldn’t have gone on the Santa Barbara trip.

And I think that’s what she was saying towards the end of that argument. The hall pass conversation that they had at dinner was only interesting because Luke said he, his hall pass was a Disney princess, a cartoon character, which was really, really bizarre. And then it got into the Hall I, Nia and Danny thing, because Danny clearly drank too much at the wine mixer.

And. He ended up sending himself to bed before dinner. She tried to wake him up. He didn’t move during dinner. She said, oh, he’s tired. I’m gonna go see on him. And then it just became this big thing where Brittany and Jasmine got really mad at the fact that. More so Brittany, because her life is out there and she has to talk about everything going on in her life.

And her crazy ass ex-husband who’s currently in rehab at the time, she’s like, I have to talk about my life all the time. And all these two talk about is how perfect everything is. Why doesn’t Nia just say, yeah, Danny’s drunk, that’s why he is not here. It’s like, okay, but I kind of sided with Neil on this one because I, I, I don’t understand.

Why Brittany made that about her problems. And then at the very end of the episode, as the credits are rolling and they. End the episode on the big drama. The big drama was Brittany confronts her about it, even though she went to Zach and said it to Zach, and then Zach went to Nia. Nia just decided, you know, Hey, you got something to say?

Say it to me. Which is what we all say when we have an issue with somebody, just say it to me. Don’t say it behind my back. So Brittany tells her to her face, well, why don’t you just tell us? You say that. Oh, Danny’s feeling tired. Why don’t you just say he’s drunk? And she’s like, okay, he’s drunk. And then Brittany was almost like speechless.

’cause what do you say at that point? It’s like she admitted it. That’s fine. Over and done with. Why are we making a bigger deal outta That’s what I said at the beginning of this podcast. This drama wasn’t really, this was probably the least amount of drama that they created out of nothing. It was a big nothing burger to me, because Nia admitted it.

Yeah, he’s drunk and then Brittany gets mad at her for, why didn’t you say that earlier? Why’d you say he was tired? Like this is what we’re arguing over. I, I’m sure alcohol was involved and emotions were high. I’m sure, but that was a big giant nothing burger to end the episode. There’s no way that I’m supposed to get all riled up over that.

I’ll get riled up when Jesse calls his wife a hooker. And there’s obviously some stuff there that you’re just like, okay. And then all the stuff that Jack says and calls Brittany for sure. But come on, Brittany, getting that upset. And if you watched, watch what Happens live after the show. Danny talked about it.

He said, look, there are people on the show that have no problem airing their dirty laundry. He goes, we’re just a more private couple. Are we a perfect couple? No, but we just don’t like talking about our problems publicly. So. I mean, he’s got a point, Brittany, if that’s the way they want to handle it, and they just wanna be less confrontational than you and your crazy ex.

Unfortunately, that’s what you gotta deal with for this show. So I just don’t know why she was so mad at something so small, especially right after Nia said, yeah, he’s drunk, and then Brittany gets mad. Well, why you say that earlier? What does it matter? I don’t know. It seems like a whole lot of nothing to me.
