So what do you think was the number one thing that came out of yesterday’s podcast that people emailed me about? Yes, it was how I talked about Memorial Day Box. Office Weekend was the biggest in the history due to two movies, mission Impossible and how I said. Lilo and Stitch, I must have had 15 emails and they weren’t being mean.
They were just like, Hey Steve, just so you know, it’s Lilo and Stitch. Like, well, that sounds about right. I don’t have kids. I’ve never watched the first movie. And the thing is, I’ve heard that said, I just, when I was recording yesterday, I probably didn’t even realize I said Lilo. So people love pointing out grammatical mistakes from me, and I’ll admit, I know I make grammatical mistakes, but
it’s just kind of, I, I just kind of chuckle when I get an email response from people when I said, when I say Lilo instead of Lilo. But I rarely get any sort of response to my podcast as a whole, whether or not people liked it or not, they’ll tell you if you were pronounced Lilo or Lilo. But, and that doesn’t, that’s not a go ahead.
That means you have to respond every time you hear a podcast to tell me if you liked it or not. I’m not saying that. I’m just saying that I always get more emails about correcting me about something I said wrong in my podcast versus whether or not they enjoy my podcasts. Now I know people must enjoy it ’cause I see the download numbers, so I know a lot of you listen, and I really appreciate that you are the reason why I’m able to throw a party every single year as a fan appreciation party and a thank you to all of you who listen to me every, every day or every other day, or once a week, twice a week, whatever.
You listen to me, the numbers are consistent. I think that’s what I’ve prided myself on with this podcast is ever since I started the daily Roundup, which was July 11th, 2022, I’ve never missed a day Monday through Friday. I don’t plan on ever missing a day. The only time I would miss a day is, God forbid there’s a, a personal tragedy or something like that, and or a technical problem.
Where something just doesn’t upload or whatever the case can’t record for whatever reason due to sound issues or, or whatever. That would be the only way you don’t get a podcast. But every Monday through Friday, since July 11th, 2022, I have given you a daily roundup, and I know that a lot of you, I’m part of your daily routine.
Whether you listen to me in the first thing in the morning or in the afternoon, or driving home from work or driving your kids home from school, whatever the case may be. I think that’s the biggest part of doing a podcast is being consistent and knowing people can count on you, and it’s what I’ve prided myself on and it’ll always, it’s not going anywhere, and that’s why I know and that’s why I’m able to do what I do and able to have a party once a year that I’m able to throw for everybody as a thank you.
It’s really my only way to thank people. Honestly, other than saying thank you, you know, say it at the end of every podcast. I appreciate you listening. I really do. And it’s something to where we keep this going, but it’s why I want to do what I do every year, once a year. It’s a thank you because I don’t charge for the party, and outside of being a Vegas local.
Of the people that are coming to Saturday’s party, I’d say only 25% are Vegas locals. I’d say 75% of the people coming are out of state. Most are flying in, most are driving in. So to buy a flight from wherever you’re coming and to stay at a hotel or an Airbnb, that’s costing people money. So I’m not gonna charge on top of that for my party.
I haven’t for nine years. I’m not gonna say it wouldn’t change in the future, but it’s not like I, I tell you right now. I’m just speaking off the top of my head here. If I ever charged to come to the party, it’s not like all of a sudden you’re gonna be charged a hundred bucks a head or something ridiculous.
Like if I did to cover a certain expense for the party, maybe it would be 20 bucks. And I don’t think I, I, I don’t know, like maybe a lot of you are coming to the party because it’s free. I have no idea. Would everybody who’s coming to the party this year still come if I said it’s 20 bucks ahead? I can’t imagine that would change too many people’s minds, but shit, maybe I’ve, maybe I have just misinterpreted my fan base.
I don’t know. I don’t think that would change anything. I, what I’m saying is I don’t plan on going to charge, I, I don’t plan on charging for the party in future years. I’m just saying I never have. But you just never wanna say never and pin yourself in a corner. ’cause then people might come back to you and say, you, you said you would never charge for your party.
I’ve never charged for anything in regards to reality. Steve, I’ve never charged you to read anything. I’ve never done a Patreon. I’ve never charged for the party. I’ve never charged for anything. Never asked you for any sort of money. The only time was back in 2011. The first time I was sued. I asked for donations and your donations went straight to my legal bills, and that covered maybe a 10th of it, but it was just, it was helpful.
That’s the only time I’ve ever asked for money since I’ve been doing this starting reality, Steve, in what? 2003. So just keep that in mind. And I don’t plan on charging in the future, but if I did, if I ever had to it, it wouldn’t be. Any sort of astronomical fee. I saw a story yesterday on ew.com, and it was that Euphoria is currently filming season three, and according to Sidney Sweeney.
This season of euphoria is even more unhinged. That was her exact quote. Have you’ve ever seen euphoria? Those first two seasons. This show is about unhinged, as you can get. It is one giant hot mess with some really over the top sexual scenes. Some really over the top drug use scenes, some really over the top sexual assault scenes like it is.
This is not, I mean it was, it was about high schoolers, but this is like high schoolers in a rave times a hundred. This isn’t your typical high school show, put it that way. I don’t think you wanna show this to your high schooler, put it that way, but it’s what put Sidney Sweeney on the map and her first big role.
And obviously she’s gone on to do a lot of stuff since then, and I knew it had been a while since season two. I didn’t realize it’s been three years since season two. I don’t even know what the hell I, I’m trying to remember what the hell happened in season two. What I do know is not to give away a major spoiler here, but it’s talked about in the article, they are gonna do a time jump when season three starts.
All these kids are gonna be outta high school. I don’t know how far ahead they’re jumping, but they’re all gonna be out of high school when season three. That’s all we know about season three and Sidney Sweeney said. About her character, Cassie. It’s so much fun to play a character that’s as crazy as she is creator.
Sam Levinson is such a brilliant filmmaker to work with because I’ll read something and then I’ll call him and I’m like, let’s go crazier. And he’s like, I’m all in. And this season is unhinged. And the reporter asked more, unhinged and Sweeney said Yes. I don’t even want to know. What more unhinged means when it comes to euphoria, because this is one of the weirdest, most bizarre shows I’ve ever seen.
I can’t imagine this as anything realistic. I know high school is different now from when I was back in high school, in the early nineties. I understand it’s just a different world we live in and a social media world. But if you’ve seen the first two seasons of euphoria and you’re a mother. Or a father of a high school student, I, I can’t imagine you say, yeah, this is what my kid goes through.
This is what my kid’s high school’s like. I sure as hell hope not because God forbid the shit that goes on in this show. I don’t even remember where we left off. Season two was so long ago. I, I’m trying to think in my head. I know that one dude died and I can’t remember his name. I remember his, I know his actor name.
Angus, right. Angus Cloud, is that his name? And now I’m totally forgetting his character name. But he died on that drug raid, I think, where he got shot and then he died in real life right after that. So he clearly isn’t part of season three. But I’m trying to remember like what was the main, how did everything end?
I’m, I’m totally blanking. So I guess we’ll find out when season three comes to air, and it doesn’t even say in this article. I think they have said when it’s coming back. I wanna say it’s August, but I could be wrong. Or maybe they said we’re, they don’t have a set date of when it’s coming back, but considering it’s filming season three right now, now that I think about it, there’s no way they’re turning around a television show that’s filming in May and June into August.
They need time to edit and do all that stuff. So maybe not till end of 2025 or beginning of 2026, but Sidney Sweeney says it’s going to be unhinged. And when you think about this show, I don’t even know how that’s even possible. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. And finally, you know, there’s some beef going on with MGK and Brian Austin Green.
’cause MGKI believe is still with Megan Fox or not. I, I have no idea what’s going on with their relationship. They seem to break up every other week. They just had a baby in March and I don’t even know if he’s with her. We hear that story last week that he lives there sometimes. I don’t know what the hell is going on with those two.
But Brian Austin Green has made public comments about MGK, about not being there. For Megan, who is his ex-wife? Well, Vanessa Maril chimed in. Yes. Vanessa Maril, who is Brian Austin Green’s ex-wife, and they have had beef in the media the last couple weeks because he has accused her of being, or he has said on a podcast that their relationship and their marriage was toxic.
So how does ma, how does. Vanessa Maril shoot back. She posted on her Instagram stories on Sunday. MGK just dropped the Song of the Summer. Look, I haven’t even heard this song. I don’t even know what the name of the song is. Let’s see. In the story, what does it say? Oh, is the rapper’s latest single is called Cliche, which was released on Friday.
So two days later, the ex-wife of Brian Austin Green, who has a beef with machine gun Kelly. His wife, ex-wife is saying, oh, MGK just dropped the song, dropped the song in the summer. It’s like, yeah, of course. That’s a dig at Brian Austin Green to basically say, I’m siding with MGK because you hate him. How petty can these people get?
What is this gonna end like? I I, and look, they have a kid together. They have, wait, they have three kids together. What am I talking about? Brian Austin Green and Vanessa Marc have three kids together. Then he is got one currently with Charna and their whole relationship and the toxicity of that relationship is revolving around the parenting skills.
I know that she has said that he was never a good father and was never around. He has called her toxic. It’s just messy all around. And so of course she’s gotta throw a little dagger his way by saying, MG K’s got the song in the summer. I have not heard this song cliche. I have no idea if it’s good or not.
I don’t think I can name one MGK song honestly. But. This is just, it’s almost par for the course for these people involved in this because it seems like everything is just being played out in the media about everybody’s relationships and yeah, I guess I can’t say, I’m too surprised if Vanessa Maril threw that in there.
