As you know, or you should know, survivor Season 50 is filming right now. There are about, I don’t know how many days into filming, five, six, something like that. And what we know is we know who 22 of the 24 cast members are. ’cause they announced it on GMA, what?
Two weeks ago, and the two people that we don’t know are people that are on season 49, which will air in the fall. But if you go to any of the spoiler sites, you know which two from season 49 are going to be on season 50. So basically those people got maybe a two week break. They filmed season 49 and then basically I think maybe had a two week break and then had to go back, right back and film season 50.
Now the interesting thing is all 22 people. That were announced are all aware of each other because 12 of the people are from seasons one through 40, and then the other 12 are from seasons 40 through 50. But everyone in season, everyone saw season 48 before they left in film. So they all know who Joe, Kyle, and Camilla are.
The three people from season 48 that are on season 50, they don’t know the season 49 people. And that’s always been interesting to me because. If you’re playing season 50 and these two season 49 ERs who you didn’t even see play yet, because it’s gonna air in the fall, hell, you’re gonna come back and season 50 will be done filming.
By the time you even see the season 49 players play their game. I. So my question has always been, do you immediately target people you know nothing about? Because all 22 other players know how the other people have played. They all just watched 48 before they went out and saw and filmed 50. So you go after season 49 ERs and just be like, look, we know nothing about them.
We can’t take a chance. Let’s get them outta here. Not to mention, those people are gonna probably have a tough time teaming up with people because nobody knows them and their gameplay, and they could just be very sneaky and really good game strategists, whatever the case may be. So do you get rid of them real quick, or do you keep people like them around because no one sees them as a threat Because we don’t know anything about them and maybe they didn’t.
Go far on their season. I’m, I’m guessing they went far on 49. They wouldn’t cast somebody that got eliminated, you know, third for season 50, so. I’m guessing they both finished, they were both at least part of the jury. Maybe one of them got to the end. We won’t know until season 49. Hes, but I’ve always found that interesting.
The one time I do remember it happening was Russell Hans filmed back to back seasons and he had finished second on his first season, then went back out to film the very next season and nobody knew anything about him yet. He still got to the end. So. I guess it all just comes down to feel, but I gotta think, especially now that we’re 50 seasons in, and Russell obviously was a lot earlier, now that we’re 50 seasons in, I feel like these people want to pair up with people that they know and they just can’t know anything about these 49 ERs, these two people from 4 9, 1 man and one woman from 49, and.
It’s kind of tough to put your faith in somebody. You have no idea how they’ve played in the past and they, you might ask them, how did you do on your season? They might flat out why and they might say like, oh, I got blindsided when they were the ones doing all the blindsiding. You just have no idea. So I was thinking about that this weekend when I saw some things for Survivor 50 online.
I’m like, I’m curious to see how the two season 49 contestants are treated. On Friday, Jax Taylor took to social media and put on his Instagram story, this message quote, I’ve made the decision to stay off social media for the next while to prioritize my mental health and recovery. My team will be running it for the time being okay, one, I will believe it when I see it.
And number two, let’s hope. He’s not saying this because he’s off to go film another show and he just doesn’t want to let the cat out of the bag and he wouldn’t be able to because isn’t Trader season four either? Haven’t they all left for filming or are filming in the month of June at some point, or maybe it’s July.
I don’t know when traders is filming, but. I know that there’s a rumor that, you know, there’s tons of rumors out there on who’s gonna be on season four of the traders, but you know Jax Taylor, as much as everybody hates him, he’s a name that, of course, that they would be interested in casting. They’ve cast Vanderpump people on that show before, haven’t they?
So I. It’s always a possibility. We don’t know. And with Jax Taylor, it’s hard to believe anything that guy says. And even if he’s not off filming another show again, he might say, oh, I’m taking time off social media to prioritize my mental health. I, I just, I, I have a hard time buying anything that this guy is selling anything.
Because why should we, the guy’s done nothing but get caught in lies. On social media, on television shows, in podcast interviews. Oh yeah. By the way, did you see that his podcasts, the Mind of a Man or whatever, was gonna do a podcast tour this summer, and that has been canceled due to, I think, low ticket sales and sponsors pulling out, which probably is a good thing.
Like that guy doesn’t need to be doing any sort of podcast tour. That guy doesn’t need to be giving advice to anybody, frankly. But yeah, that is happening. And he posted about it this weekend and I just don’t know if I believe it. I feel like in a week we’re gonna get Jax Taylor on his Instagram story.
Hey, it’s me, I’m back. Feel really good and refreshed. Like when you make an amount and you make an announcement saying you’re taking time off social media. Don’t come back a week later, I’m sorry, whatever it is, especially if you’re literally admitting, I’m doing this for my mental health. Mental health’s not gonna get better in a week.
So again, he says his team is running his I Instagram account now, whatever. Finally, here’s an interesting story. Jason Biggs, the Star of American Pie. Remember? Had sex with a pie among other things. In that movie, he told a story about on a podcast recently called The Well Podcast, where he talked about snorting cocaine at four in the morning when he was deep, deep, deep into his drug addiction in his twenties.
I. He was doing cocaine. His wife was upstairs sleeping, and then he threw it out and then he said, what am I doing? And he went in the garbage and scooped out some cocaine and did another line. And then he said, Ugh, this is the last line I’m doing. So he took what he threw out in the garbage and put it out in the outside garbage.
And then he said, Nope, one more line. And he went out to the outside garbage and did another line of cocaine. Like that’s some pretty serious shit. Now the good thing is Jason Biggs has been sober, I believe since 2017, so he’s coming up on eight years of sobriety, but I don’t know if you remember, well, his wife is Jenny Mullen, who is a New York Times bestselling author, and was at one point very, very involved in vaccination.
Remember she used to host the After Paradise Show that came on on Tuesdays when it used to Air Monday and Tuesdays. And then the last half hour on Tuesdays was a live show where they would have the contestants on. And for one of those seasons, she was one of the hosts. She was very, very entrenched in ation.
But the one thing I remember about Jason Biggs, and this was clearly during his drug phase, was the tweeting that he did. About Bachelor in Paradise and the comments that he would make about the women on this show. He had some, and I don’t know if he has deleted them or not, but if you go back in time on his Twitter feed, maybe they’re still there, maybe they’re not, but he had some really problematic tweets in regards to the women on this show.
Like he was very, very attacking and very demeaning. To a lot of the women. I can’t remember one of them off the top of my head, but I just remember during that time, like I cannot believe someone like Jason Biggs. He’s not an A-list actor by any means, but he was kind of a name and he was out there and I was like, I can’t believe he’s tweeting this about the women on this show, or he’s this invested in the women on this show and commenting like he is, and it was really bad.
If someone wants to go back to 20 16, 20 17 and look at his tweets, clearly this was during his, where he was completely a drug addict because I can’t imagine he would’ve done this and, and I don’t think he’s done any of these tweets since he’s been sober. But yeah, he got really bad at one point, but it is good to see that he has sobered up and turned his life around.
Anyway, thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it. Follow me in Apple Podcasts. Also rate and review, but you gotta hit play. It’s the only way it counts as a download.
