Daily Roundup 6/18 – The Valley Ep #10 & It’s Most Embarrassing Despicable Moment To Date, Two Sequels Coming This Summer 30 Yrs in the Making, & More from the Alex Cooper Allegations

What’s ironic is in last night’s episode of the Valley, we had this whole thing where Jax became Baty Pruitt 2.0 by writing comments under stories about himself under a burner account by the name of Frank Dreman, which we find out on Watch What Happens Live.

He was talking about the Cop from Naked Gun. Now that’s Frank Drebin Jax. Well, in case you haven’t seen it, we are getting our first sequel. In 31 years to Naked Gun, and it’s coming out August 1st. And Liam Neeson is going to play the son of Frank Drab because Leslie Nielsen, an iconic character in slapstick comedy passed away a few years ago, or a while ago.

I, I, I don’t know the year off the top of my head, but I wanna say sometime in the last 10 years, he’s passed away. But Naked Gun, the last time they made a movie was 1994, was Naked Gun 33 and a third. Well, 31 years later, they’re making a sequel written by Seth McFarland and I believe one of the Lonely Boy, the Lonely Island guys crew from Saturday Night Live.

That was with Andy Sandberg. It’s Andy Sandberg. Jma. Jma, Toone, and Aika. Is that his name? Anyway, it’s written by Aika and Seth McFarland, so I expect it to be good. They released their first full trailer. They, they’ve had some teasers out there, some 32nd, 45 second ones, but their first two minute trailer came out yesterday or the day before, and typical naked gun fashion, just really lowbrow slapstick comedy.

I just hope they didn’t blow their wad in the trailer. And all the funny jokes are in the trailer. You know, the manslaughter joke, man’s laughter,

him telling Liam Neeson, telling Pamela Anderson, who plays, I guess the love interest in this movie, take a seat as he’s about to question her, and then she takes a seat and walks out. Like, this is the kind of humor that I love. I, the naked gun movies are, are classic to me. Grew up with them. I can’t wait for this movie.

Then the other one that released a new trailer yesterday, first time we’ve seen a really full trailer, they’ve had some teasers out there is another one, which is the first time they’ve had a sequel to this movie since 1998, and that is so 26, 27 years, and that is, I know what you did last summer. You know my backstory with Jennifer, love Hewitt.

I mean this, this woman dominated in the nineties for me in terms of who on TV I drooled over. And

this isn’t news we’ve known since last summer. I mean, she made it known last summer. She had signed on for a sequel to I Know What You Did last summer. Her and Freddie Prince Jr. The only two remaining people that are alive from the first two movies. Coming back for this one and I think that one comes out in July.

Naked Gun I know comes out August 1st and I know what you did last summer. Comes out sometime in July. So just know I’ve got a lot of July movies. I mean, I’m going to watch Jurassic Park. I gotta go see Fantastic Four. I gotta go see Superman. I gotta go see. I know what you did last summer and I gotta go see Naked Gun.

That’s five movies. That come out between July 1st and August 1st. I will be busy at the movies in July, to say the least. But looking forward to both of those. We’ve talked about the Alex Cooper story a lot, the documentary, and this came out the other day, actually yesterday. Right? Yeah, 99 former Boston University soccer players are speaking out in support of former head coach Nancy Feldman, who Alex Cooper came out and talked about in the documentary saying she sexually harassed her.

This isn’t to say what Alex Cooper is saying is false, but they do wanna report that 99 women have basically signed a petition saying. Nancy Feldman never did this to us. She’s made us feel safe even after she’s retired. She has still kept in touch with us. We support her, and they also state in their statement, look, we’re not looking to diminish or discredit anyone’s individual experience, but they’re a united group and they wanna stand up for Nancy Feldman and how Nancy Feldman treated them.

Which is like, okay, fine. I, I don’t know what this accomplishes. If they’re allowed to speak out, if Nancy Feldman didn’t harass them, that’s fine, but it doesn’t mean she didn’t harass Alex Cooper. And I dunno if you saw Alex Cooper’s Instagram story yesterday, but she screenshot a six or seven Instagram story of a former Boston University soccer player that also was harassed by Nancy Feldman.

And this person did a. I, I wanna say it was six or seven tiktoks long, and Alex just screenshot it and put it on her Instagram story of this woman, basically saying she was a soccer player in Southern California, got recruited to be you and Nancy Feldman sexually harassed her and found out that this player was gay and used it against her.

And Alex put that out there. And then Alex said. Again, the amount of women that have come to me since my documentary came out, she said the abuse is still happening at that school. And the athletic director that was there when she was there is still there and she wants something done. So this thing is far from over and all the 99 former players going back as far as 10 or 15 years that did sign this petition saying, Hey, Nancy Feldman never did any of this to us.

But also in the same breath didn’t diminish what Alex said. It’s just a really weird stance to take. And you wonder like, did Nancy Felman get to these women and say, please help me out because I, you know. The woman, I, I don’t know how many years Nancy Feldman coached there, but just judging by the documentary, I, I’m guessing it was a long time, I wanna say 20 years, something like that, 20 to 25 years she was at the school.

I don’t expect the head coach to sexually harass every single player they ever had on their squad over the course of 20 years. That would be impossible. But to say she didn’t single certain players out. I, I, I’m not gonna say that that didn’t happen either. Alex Cooper is too smart and has built too much of a brand.

To just in a documentary, spend 20 to 30 minutes. Absolutely. Calling out a former coach of hers for doing all these things, if none of it ever happened. I don’t think she’s doing this for attention. She doesn’t need this type of attention. I believe her when she says this, because, not just because she said it, but she recalled the meeting that they had with the athletic director, with the head coach, the notebook that we saw.

Shots of in the documentary of things that she told her mother, that her mother wrote down in a notebook that they presented and the school didn’t even wanna look at it. So while 99 women might have signed something that said Nancy Feldman had never harassed us, and we stand by her, even though we don’t diminish or discredit anybody else’s individual, individual experience, I don’t think that means that Nancy Feldman is innocent against Alex Cooper’s charges.

I don’t think it really means anything. ’cause like I said, if she coached there for 20 years, she probably had over what, almost 400 players that were under her wing at some point. She’s not gonna sexually harass every single one of them. There’s no way that would’ve ever happened. But we’re hearing more and more about stuff.

I think there were probably gonna be charges. Alex Cooper seems to be on a rampage as she should, and she’s just got so much pull right now. I, I gotta believe there are charges coming up against. Nancy Feldman at some point, and I guarantee bu will, shit, can that athletic director I’m surprised it hasn’t happened by now.

Like what more evidence do you need? Like everybody is, a lot of people are siding with Alex Cooper on this and I mean, to even keep that athletic director in their position right now, why not just say while we are investigating this. This athletic director, drew Marchello, I think is the name, is on a leave of absence while we do an investigation.

Like I, I don’t understand what BU is doing in all this. Just absolutely mind boggling. And you know what, we’re gonna get to the Scott Wolf stuff tomorrow. I’ll push that to tomorrow. ’cause I definitely want to talk about it. And I, I have a feeling something, I have a feeling something will come out today that will lead me to have more to talk about in the Scott Wolf, Kelly Wolf story.

So I will get to that tomorrow. So anyway, thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it. Follow me on Apple Podcasts. Also rate and review, but you gotta hit play. It’s the only way it counts as a download daily. The sports Daily coming up in hour for now. If you want to check that out. Again, thank you all for listening.
