Colton Underwood and Caitlin Bristow are hosting a reality dating show on Hulu coming out August 18th called Are You My first? It’s actually been repackaged with a new title. This originally was named Virgin Island. So, yes, you can guess the premise of the show. All the people on this show are virgins, and they’re young, and they’re single, and they’re all virgins, and they’re gonna compete in, I don’t know if they’re gonna beat in challenges.
It says, the tagline is the largest, hottest group of virgins ever assembled as they search for intimacy, love, and maybe their first. In a tropical paradise designed just for them for the first time. They’re free to explore the connections without judgment. Allowing these sexy, young singles to embark on a heated yet heartfelt journey pack with romantic dates, revealing challenges and new love interest.
Eager to find the one who will find that special, someone who will go home hot, bothered, and heartbroken. Here’s the first thing about this premise that is so flimsy and whatnot. How do we know these people are virgins? Because they told a casting department, they were. I don’t buy it. I guarantee not every person on the show is a virgin.
There’s no way to prove it. I’m sorry. They can say, I am super religious and I’ve lived by the book this whole time and I’m, I’m saving myself for marriage. Yeah. Colton wasn’t even a virgin when he professed himself to be a virgin as the Bachelor. He had had sex before he had just chosen and what rebranded himself.
As a born again virgin. The one thing I’ll say about this is I’m actually glad that the press release acknowledges what Colton has done in his past in regards to the harassment of Cassie. Because in the EPIs, in the description of the show, they talk about the two hosts, and they talked about Underwood was ABC’s a former alumni, the Bachelor franchise.
He was on Bachelor Paradise season five before becoming the lead in season 23. But then it says he left that season dating Cassie Randolph, who later filed a restraining order against him and alleged that he stalked and harassed her. Okay? At least you acknowledge the fact that he did that. ’cause that seems to be lost in the Colton story, where he gets all these opportunities.
He’s hosting this show, he’s gonna be on Traders. He’s already filmed Traders season four, he got his own Netflix show. Like people just don’t seem to care about that in terms of TV executives and it’s, it’s disturbing. You know how I feel about Colton? I had him on my podcast because he reached out to me.
And basically blew smoke up my ass, wanting to come on my podcast to get his story out there. And it was two weeks or maybe a month, it was either two weeks or a month before all this news broke. So he was basically right in the middle of stalking Cassie, and he came to me and said, I want to tell you know my story of what happened to me on my season.
And he had all these great stories, yet he conveniently left out the fact he was literally in the process of stalking. Cassie conveniently left that out, so wasn’t really appreciative of the fact, how he used me to basically promote his own brand. But unfortunately, as much as people don’t want him to get opportunities, he’s getting plenty of them.
It’s just the way it’s worked out for him sucks. It is what it is. And finally, you knew I was gonna bring this up. This is just major, major news for people roughly my age, maybe even a little bit younger. We are getting a Pacey and Joey reunion, not in the Cannon that is Dawson’s Creek, but a major, major reunion between Pacey and Joey.
KA Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson. It was announced yesterday. Katie Holmes is going to star in write and direct the Happy Hours film Trilogy. Joshua Jackson is her co-star in a Dawson’s Creek reunion. They already started filming because pictures got out yesterday in of them walking around New York City and it’s a trilogy.
Happy Hours is described as a story about two people, Jackson and Holmes, navigating their relationship within the challenges of careers and family responsibilities and the pursuit of love despite life’s inevitable obstacles. It is a character driven dramedy that explores the emotional journey of Young Loves who reconnect as adults with the connective thread of shared Joys, loss, and hope Young loves that reconnect as adults.
Pacey and Joey have reconnected as adults, and I will not look at this as anything other than that. This is Happy Hours. You might as well just call it Dawson’s Creek, the later years. Because I don’t care what they call themselves in the movie, they are going to be Pacey and Joey to me. And isn’t Joshua Jackson recently divorced and I thought maybe recently I saw that Katie Holmes was dating somebody, wasn’t she dating a, a chef or something?
But that could be over if they are still single shit, even if they’re not, because I know they’re not both married. I know that for a fact. I don’t care who they’re dating, if they are dating anybody. When this thing hits and it’s finally released, everybody and their mother is going to be asking them, are they going to date in real life?
Did this rekindle anything? I know I will. I’ll be the first one to raise my hand. I wanna know, you know how you know me. I live my life. I watch these shows and these shows are how I see them in real life.
Their characters that they played in the eighties and nineties is how I see them now. So yeah, it’s Pacey and Joey dating as adults. Look, anybody who watched Dawson’s Creek is going to watch Happy Hours and not think we’re watching an adult version of Pacey and Joey. And yes, it was one of the better endings of any TV show.
It made the most sense. Yeah, there are some people out there that probably wanted Joey to end up with Dawson, but I think the way it was presented, most people were happy with the fact that it was Pacey and Joey in the end, and Dawson was still their best friend. Like that was a great, great ending when they did that.
Fast forward to the future, I think it was five years. And Dawson had sold a show, a network, television show about growing up in Dawson’s Creek. I mean, it was kind of perfect actually. But seeing this, and Joshua Jackson and Katie Holmes are gonna star in a trilogy together about young loves who reconnect as adults.
Like we knew that they still kept in touch. You’ve heard stories through the years that the Dawson’s Creek cast was pretty close and they were on text threads with each other, but this literally came outta left field because pictures emerged yesterday of them out in New York, and then this says, yeah, they’ve started filming Happy hours.
You’re like, whoa. And it’s a trilogy, so it’s not just gonna be this one-off, man, this I, I’m, I’m just preparing you. Not only me, I’m not gonna be the only one saying it. Everybody who watches this is gonna hope and wish that these two get together in real life, not even a question about it. Anyway, thank you all for listening.
Really appreciate it. Follow me on Apple Podcast. Also, rate interview, but you gotta hit play. It’s the only way it counts as a download. Sports Daily coming up in an hour from now.
