And here’s the thing, when Bailey confronted Jeremy about it, it’s very easy for him to say in the moment. Hey, I wanna be here with you. In my world, and this is something I’ve always lived by, when it comes to relationships, actions speak louder than words. Your words saying, oh, I just wanna be here with you.
Your actions were, I’m gonna get on the phone and call Susie and tell her I want her back here. What if Susie would’ve come back? Jeremy, it’s very easy to say now that Susie rejected you. How can you not see that Bailey can feel second fiddle at this point because you’ve done nothing and you basically were able to squirm out of it because Susie chose not to come back.
The thing is, we don’t have the answer because Susie chose not to come back. Clearly, I can’t imagine Jeremy called. Susie asked her back. If she would’ve said yes, she would’ve got there and he would’ve been like, nah, I better go with Bailey. Of course, he was gonna go with Susie, so he gets to weasel outta this.
But being like, Hey, Bailey, I’m here with you. I wanna make it work with you. Yeah, because Susie didn’t come back. I’m sitting here. Going off on this and I’m sitting here throwing out my opinion on this and it doesn’t matter. Nothing I say matters. ’cause Bailey’s with Jeremy right now, like they’re together post-show.
So it’s it’s almost like why waste our breath? I’m telling you, we’re all in the right here. Brian was in the right here. He ne he absolutely had every right to tell Bailey. Now you could say he might’ve had other motivations for it because there was $500,000 involved and all this stuff, and he was basically trying to find a way to maybe get Bailey and Jeremy off the show.
’cause the less couples there are, the more chances they have to win. Okay. He might’ve had ulterior motives in telling Bailey, but telling her what Jeremy said to him. Because he knew, other people knew and nobody would step up and say something. Jeremy clearly the one that said it, never stepped up and said something.
So what’s wrong with him going to Bailey and saying, Hey, you should know this. His mistakes were denying it. When he was asked about it, he should have just said, yeah, it was me felt, I felt she should know. If you’re gonna be that bold, then stand on what you did. It seemed like he was backing down from it.
The other thing about the $500,000 since Jesse introduced it, what, three episodes ago, we still have no idea how this plays into the show. All he said was there’s a $500,000 prize, but he hasn’t said exactly how this is being divvied up or how somebody can win this. Is it one or the other, which I don’t think it is.
I’ll find out before the finale airs. I’m telling you I’ll be able to get the answer, but I haven’t gotten the answer just yet. I’ll let you know, but I just find it funny that these people are all talking about quote unquote, life changing money. First off, this isn’t life changing money because you’d be splitting it and then you gotta take taxes out.
I, I don’t know, maybe for a 28-year-old, $125,000 is life changing money or however much they’re gonna collect outta two 50. Assuming you split it, I don’t know. 1 75, how much do you pay in taxes on that 30%? So yeah, one 50 I, one 50 is a nice chunk of change to get off of a game show.
Sure. But $150,000 is not life changing money. But again, maybe to a 28-year-old it is. I don’t know. I just find it weird that this was introduced three episodes ago, and us as the viewers and even the people there, as far as I know in, in terms of what we have been shown of Jesse telling the contestants.
They don’t have any idea how the $500,000 works and neither do we as viewers. I wanted to go over real quickly, the Instagram following count that I mentioned yesterday in the podcast. I was like, look, if people are going on this show thinking they’re going to get an Instagram follow, those days are over because yeah, there were days where you go on the Bachelor and the Bachelorette.
If you’re a woman and you get to the Final Four on The Bachelor, you were pretty much guaranteed. Half a million followers, maybe seven 50. Quite a few would pass a million. I I’m telling you right now, this is so bad. And I looked at the numbers. So I went to Bachelor Data’s Instagram page, and on July 7th, the day of the premier, she posted what everybody’s Instagram following was at that point.
And I’m just gonna read off 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. I’m gonna read off four couples. And their Instagram followings. At the time they were couples that were there from the beginning. ’cause she that, that was from July 7th. So it isn’t anybody who came in after that or that was part of the initial cast. Alex has gone from 41,000 and I’m just gonna round up here.
There’s 41 point something or whatever. I’m just gonna round up to the nearest whole numbers. Alice went from 41,000 to 50,000. When I checked last night, so I’m taking July 7th numbers, which was the premier episode, and then when I looked last night, so she went up, she’s gone up 9,000 followers in six weeks.
Dale was at 577,000 followers on July 7th. He’s at 5 76 now. Dale has lost a thousand followers. Kat, what I said yesterday. She was at 98,000. Now she’s at 1 0 8. She’s picked up 10,000 followers. Jonathan was at 182,000 on Premier Night. He’s at 183 now, so he’s picked up a thousand. Bailey has gone from 18,000 to 26,000, so she’s picked up 8,000, and Jeremy has gone from 28,000 to 30,000.
He’s picked up 2000. He’s the only main guy outside of Spencer who’s actually gone. I shouldn’t say gone up. Jonathan went up by a thousand. Jeremy’s gone up by 2000. The biggest jumps have been Spencer and Jess. Spencer went from 26,500 to 41,000, so he’s picked up 15,000 roughly. And Jess has gone from 16,000 to 33,000.
She’s picked up 17,000 followers. So this show has been on six weeks, and the most anyone has gained in followers is Jess. Who’s at 17,000 Spencer’s right behind her at 15,000. I’m sorry. That’s almost laughable at this point.
It is. We’ve seen, what other shows do I talked about? Love Island. Just go to Bachelor data and look at her Love Island numbers from the people that were on that show. They would start out at numbers less than all these people and are now in the million range. Uh, and these people are picking up 15,000 followers, 10,000 followers.
Dale’s losing followers. It’s, it’s a sad state of affairs, but it’s just something that you can point out to your friends who say, oh, this show just only cast influencers and all these people just want to get famous. Yeah, they wanna capitalize, but I’m just telling them, and I’m telling the audience that thinks they can capitalize.
I’m just telling you, those days are over. You’re just not getting a giant following. Maybe you’ll have one contestant or two slip through the cracks. We’ll see when the next season of the Bachelor rolls around if anybody slips through the cracks there. But for the most part, no. Nobody’s coming close to getting in that range unless you’re already some sort of influencer.
Real quick, spoiler Bachelor or for Big Brother yesterday was the veto meeting. Spoiler coming in. 3, 2, 1. You can mute or fast forward. Catherine decided not to use the veto first time this season. The veto hasn’t been used, which means that Vince, Zach, and Keanu are all on the block and know Zach did not use the power that he has, which.
I’m still trying to gauge based on what I read yesterday, I’m still trying to gauge. I think Zach thinks he’s fine, but it seems like the only really safe one is Keanu, and if Keanu wins BB Blockbuster, then we’re looking at Zach or Vince going home. Can you imagine this would be like having an immunity idol in your pocket and survivor and getting voted out.
That’s what Zach is facing if he goes home on Thursday, ’cause he’s had every chance. To take himself off the block and he could have, he would’ve had to give up $10,000 to Ava, but he had the ability to, and he did not use it yesterday. So now I’m wondering, oh my gosh. And now I’m trying to remember, does anybody in the, has he told anybody in the house?
I don’t even remember. Does anybody even know he has this power? Maybe he shared it with Lauren or someone in his close alliance. I don’t even know who he’s told if anybody, but man, it’s gonna be pretty embarrassing for Zach if the house tries to get him out on Thursday and the house is successful in getting him out on Thursday, because yeah, that’s basically like going home with an immunity idol in your pocket.
Okay, and let’s end with this. The big news of the day yesterday. It first started in the morning when the New Heights Podcast, which is the Travis Kelsey and Jason Kelsey podcast posted who Wednesday’s guest was going to be. They didn’t give a name, but they put a silhouette of this person between them and everybody, and their mother could guess.
Oh my gosh. Taylor Swift is going on the Kelsey Podcast, and then last night around, I don’t know, nine o’clock. They put a 13 second clip from that podcast on the New Heights Twitter account. So Taylor’s gonna be on the podcast tomorrow. I think it’s, I think it comes out at 7:00 PM Eastern Time. Everybody and their mother is freaking out.
And not only for the fact that, look, these two have been dating two years. They’ve never done an interview together. People have seen them walking in and out of games, in and out of restaurants, but nobody has done a sit down interview. With the most famous, one of the most famous, if not the most famous celebrity couple going right now for two years.
We’ve never heard her do an interview about this. She’s never talked about him. He doesn’t talk about her. He does occasionally on the podcast, but he never gets into details. And now they’re doing a podcast, which I’m guessing is probably gonna be 45 minutes to an hour, I’m guessing she’s on the whole thing and not just, oh, we’re gonna bring her on for the last five minutes of the podcast.
I guess we’ll find out tomorrow for sure. But the other major thing is apparently Taylor is doing this because number one, Wednesday tomorrow is the 13th. We all know 13 is her favorite number. And the other thing is everybody is convinced that she’s either dropping a single tomorrow or dropping a new album.
That’s why she’s going on his podcast, the New Heights, basically, I think they took the summer off. So this is their first podcast back, the amount of coverage that this podcast is going to get tomorrow is going to be insane. I will be listening at six o’clock when it drops tomorrow, because let’s face it, this has never happened in two years.
They’ve been together. We don’t even know how they interact with each other other than the physical, which we’ve seen. He opens the door for her and everybody loses their mind because a guy opens the door for his date. Uh, and she’s really? That’s, that’s how low the bar has been set now.
People freak out because Travis opens the door for her anyway. Um, we have no idea how he talks to her. We’ve never heard him talk to her where we could actually hear them talking. We could just see video of them interacting at concerts. We see him backstage, we see him on stage with her when she brought him out to be part of the ERAS tour for a couple shows.
But we’ve never heard them in two years do any sort of interview. Certainly not her talking about him ’cause she just doesn’t do interviews, period. And now he’s gonna bring her, he’s talked about her briefly. Like I said, he’ll mention stuff here and there about Tay, but it’s not like he’s ever done any sort of deep dive.
And maybe this won’t even be deep, but we’ve just never seen them converse and they’ve been dating for two years. So everybody’s in full freak out mode. Not only for the interview, but they think more music is coming tomorrow, which it probably is. Whether or not it’s a single or an album, we don’t know.
But, uh, get ready because tomorrow is going to be Travis and Taylor all day, all day long, 24 hours a day. Everybody will literally be on a clock waiting till six o’clock tomorrow night anyway.
