Daily Roundup 10/13 – Gerry Turner Comes After Theresa in His New Memoir, Bachelorette Airing Schedule, More from “Love is Blind,” & TSwift Sighting at the Chiefs Game

You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality. Steve Podcast, I’m your host reality. Steve, thank you all for tuning in on this Monday. I got some stuff to go over, a story that I put out on my Instagram stories on Friday. Jerry Turner speaks out against Theresa NIST from the Golden Bachelor season.

Remember the woman he was engaged to for three months? Well, Gary’s Gary, how he’s forgetting. Is it Gary? Yeah, Gary. He’s got a book coming out so clearly to sell books, you gotta put some tea in there and he comes off like a pompous ass. Doesn’t make him look good. I have a thought on Taylor. Frankie Paul’s filming for her upcoming season, as I told you on Friday, an update on filming, but what about the air date?

Also, gonna talk a little bit more about Love is Blind and we’ve got a Taylor Swift siding. How about that? We’ll get to all that momentarily. Actually, we won’t get to it momentarily. We’ll get to it right now. So I wanna discuss what Gary Turner said in his book. He has a book coming out, and it’s called Golden Years.

What I’ve Learned from Love Loss and Reality tv, it’s coming out in a few weeks, November 4th. So clearly he’s gotta share some dirt because I don’t know how many people are really interested in what Gary Turner has to say in a book. Honestly. Nothing against the guy, but he’s trying to capitalize on being the Golden Bachelor, which is fine, but in a book way.

Mm, not really sure. So the couple of things that he said about Theresa, his former fiance, was when he watched the episode back where he told, where Kathy told Theresa to zip it. He’s like, yeah, when I watched that back, I probably would’ve said the same thing myself. Okay. So apparently Theresa was reading How to Win the Bachelor book at the Mansion.

That’s what he said. So he’s thrown Theresa, his ex-fiance, now under the bus for reading Game of Rose’s book at the Mansion, and he said the image of it made him sick to his stomach. And basically now thinks that she was just strategizing to win and not look for the Lex love of her life. Okay? And then when he saw the argument with Kathie, and Kathie told Theresa to zip it, he thought to himself, damn, I would’ve said, zip it myself.

Frankly, Theresa was rubbing it in. I I, okay. If this is T for his book, this book is about the tamest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Now, the other big thing is he said. That Theresa insisted on a prenup and there was weeks of back and forth, and also a last minute call from his lawyer saying Theresa hadn’t signed the prenup, and this is while they were in Palm Springs about to get married.

He said he finally received confirmation that Theresa signed the contract while he was checking in to the Palm Springs Resort on the wedding weekend, and then he said. Essentially, what was I gonna do? Everybody was there for my wedding. It was being televised, had to do it. Then he said he had a pre-wedding talk with Faith, the woman who finished third on his season, and he said he felt trapped and he was worried that the wedding was the wrong thing to do.

And then Faith asked him, what the hell are you doing, Gary? Do you not have to do this? And he said, I wish I had listened to her wise and sincere advice. Most of all, I couldn’t let down Theresa, whom I still love dearly, even if I was worried about the pace of our relationship. So he basically now has thrown faith under the bus because now, according to what he says in his book, faith basically told him this was dumb of you to do.

So Faith wasn’t Team Theresa, I guess. But again, this is just what Gary is saying. I’m curious to see if Theresa does come out and say something in response to this. She was just on, she’s all batch podcast last week, and she never said anything negative about Gary from what I remember.

So I’m not really sure exactly. I mean, it’s almost like.

What Gary’s trying to do here clearly is capitalize on a book. He’s gotta sell books. So he is gotta tease it with some stuff. But again, this is one sided I would like to hear from Theresa on this. She goes on another podcast. I, I can’t imagine she’s gonna take this sitting down. ’cause these are some pretty hefty things, you know, nothing earth shattering, but, okay, Theresa, did you not sign a prenup?

Would you not sign it until the weekend of? If that’s the case, why? I would just like to hear what she has to say. Did Faith really say this to him? Say, Gary, you don’t have to do this. Was she trying to talk him out of it? Not because she wanted him, but did Faith even say that? Is it possible that Gary might’ve misconstrued a conversation that he had with Faith?

There’s a lot here, but to me, I mean. Look, I’m not sure anybody wants to read a book that Gary Turner has to write about anything that doesn’t have behind the scenes of what happened during his season of the Golden Bachelor and subsequently his wedding that was televised. So clearly he’s gotta come up with stuff.

I’m not saying he’s making this up, I’m just saying certain things could be embellished to get headlines like this, so people will go by. His book because nobody knew Gary Turner’s name, Gary Turner’s name two years ago, and he wouldn’t have been writing a book, you know, for all the mess that he’s kind of throwing Theresa under the bus here and kind of faith by revealing a private conversation between him and Faith.

Let’s not forget Gary’s ex had quite a few things to say about him. In terms of his business, quote unquote savvy, and what he was like to date. So this whole thing kind of feels icky to me. I do think Theresa probably will speak out because most of these people do. Very few people in this franchise, whether it’s the Bachelor or the Bachelorette, even the younger people, anytime someone says anything about them.

Very few of them take the high road and say, I’m not going to address that. They have to come out and say something because they can’t help themselves. And I would think a lot of ’em would want to defend themselves. So I just think Theresa is going to say something at some point when that’ll be what she’ll say.

I have no idea, but this seems to be a real money grab for Gary and just not something he needed to do. If you wanna write a book, great. But we know the stuff that’s already gotten out there about what’s in the book is like, okay, it’s very possible. Certain things were misconstrued, certain things were embellished.

If they had talked about a prenup, again, would like to hear Theresa’s side. If it was talked about, and you guys both knew you were signing a prenup, did you not sign it? Until the weekend of Palm Springs and was it just a legal thing where I couldn’t, you couldn’t get your lawyer to read over it, or your lawyer had an issue with it?

All this stuff, Gary is now engaged to somebody else, so that’s why I feel like it’s easy for him now to take shots at Theresa if he wasn’t in a relationship, let alone engaged. I don’t think he does this. I just think it’s easy for him to be like, well, hey, I’ve moved on. I’m with somebody now. I’m happy and I’m gonna take shots at her in my book.

I just think it’s pretty low brow. This podcast brought to you by Factor Fall always feels like a reset between back to school, busier routine, shorter days. Finding time to cook can be tough.
