So on Friday, I reported to you that I had found out Taylor, Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette is not gonna start filming until the end of this month. Normally it films 19th, 20th, 21st of September. So it’s literally filming four to five weeks later than it normally does. And so when I heard about that, I’m like, well that’s interesting because they always try to film and wrap up filming before Thanksgiving.
Is this really gonna be a four week filming? No, it’s not. It’s actually gonna be the same amount of time filming. It’s gonna be about a seven week filming period, and I don’t have the exact start date, but I know it’s gonna be that final week of October. The week of, let’s see, just looking at a calendar right now, the week of the 27th, or maybe that weekend before, like Friday the 24th, or Saturday the 25th, something along those lines.
It’s gonna start around that time and you know. What’s interesting is they are filming through Thanksgiving. So if you are a contestant on this show and you’re still on the show a month in, you’re missing Thanksgiving and this filming is gonna go all the way up to right before Christmas from everything that I hear.
So still gonna be about a seven week filming schedule. They just moved it back a month and they’ve never done this before. So that’s interesting. Now, in a normal filming season of The Bachelor, you’d go. 19th, 20th. 20th, first, 22nd of September, and you’d go right up to before Thanksgiving, and then we all know, it used to be the first Monday in January is when the Bachelor started, but the last couple years, they had to wait because A, B, C now has the NFL playoffs and the College Football National Championship on Mondays in January.
So it can’t start until the first Monday. The first Monday that’s available in January. And this year? Next year it would be January 26th. Well, now that I’m thinking of it, this show has always taken a couple months to turn around the first episode. So if they film all the way up till right before Christmas, you know, 20th, 21st, 22nd, somewhere along those lines, are they going to turn this show around in a month?
Not saying that they can’t clearly shows like Love Island and. Big Brother. I mean, they turn shows around within days, episodes, around within days. The Bachelor has just always functioned differently. They used to wrap filming on the Bachelor before Thanksgiving, and the first episode didn’t air till seven weeks later, six weeks later, in the first Monday in January.
Now the last couple years, it’s been the end of January, so they’ve had two months to turn around the first episode with the show ending closer to Christmas, now ending filming closer to Christmas. We don’t know because A, b, C hasn’t said the start date for the bachelorette. They haven’t said, we just know we’re getting it and we know the filming starts in a couple weeks.
Well, you do now, but we don’t know if that means Well, are they gonna delay airing it as well? Because you also gotta remember, come February is the Winter Olympics. Is this show gonna wanna go up against the Winter Olympics? Or are they gonna wait to start their season until the Winter Olympics are over end of February, beginning of March?
All that stuff is Questions we don’t know, but I’m willing to guess right now. I have no information in terms of the air date of this, but my guess is this isn’t starting in January. I think they’re gonna wait. It’s just my personal opinion. We’ll see what happens, but once I know. Once a b, C definitively gives a start date for Taylor, Frankie Paul’s season airing, then we’ll have our answer.
But you also gotta remember for Taylor, Frankie Paul’s season, A reason why we know they haven’t started filming yet and usually, and we won’t know for sure, is you know, they released the guys on the Bachelorette Facebook page, the Potential Men for Taylor, Frankie Paul’s season. Well, we haven’t gotten those yet, and usually from the second they release those men usually filming starts about three days later.
It’s always been in that day range, so just keep that in mind. My guess is it’ll be another week and a half before we get those men. If we get those men sooner rather than later, then just know from the time they release those men on the bachelorette Facebook page is the time. Then about go about three days out from that, and that’s when filming starts.
And then when they take the men off the bachelorette Facebook page, which is usually the first night of filming, then we know filming has started. So just keep that in mind. But I don’t think they’re going to start airing her season in the last Monday in January. I think they’re gonna wait it out. That is my guess.
I don’t think they wanna waste two weeks of going up against the Winter Olympics in February, but maybe they will. Because I know in the past. They have, I wanna say, I could be wrong on the season, but I wanna say Ari’s season when it aired from January to March, went up against the Winter Olympics.
Somebody’s season did, because they’ve never put it this way. The Winter Olympics is every four years and they’ve never waited until after the Winter Olympics ended to start their season. ’cause it’s always been January to March. But now. It’s not Bachelor and it is Bachelorette. Now that filming has been pushed back about four to five weeks and it’s not starting filming until the end of October.
Maybe that means they’re changing the air date as well. Just something to keep in mind and obviously when a B, C makes their official announcement. I’ll pass along the information. I wanna talk a little bit more about Love is Blind. We got episodes 10 and 11 coming up this week, I think. I can’t remember which one it is.
It’s 10 or 11 where you can pretty much, I mean, this is what I do. You can do whatever you want, but it’s pretty much what I do when it comes to the episode where they go for their fittings and all the women are going for their dresses, and all the men are going for their suits, and they’re just sitting around and their friends are telling them, this is how great it is.
And so excited for you. Like that is fast forward, central to me because. Look, the fact that all of these contestants are doing interviews like I saw KB did eighties podcast and the fact that Patrick has done interviews and Casey has done interviews and Madison has done interviews and, and Joe has done interviews like everybody’s talking and you can just tell, obviously they’re not giving away what happened.
But you can just tell in their answers that certain couples aren’t together. Like I saw clips of KB on AD’S podcast and I’m like, there’s zero chance she’s with Edmund Zero. Not that she was insulting him. But just the way they answer the questions, you can just tell. You wouldn’t be answering it a certain way if that man was someone you were currently married to.
It’s just not happening. So, keep that in mind. The other thing is this Jordan Casey thing. The Jordan thing I find interesting and, and I, it’s so weird because this seems so basic yet. I, I, I kind of want an answer to this, and this is for all single parents out there, Jordan claims. And Jordan says, you know, I, I, we all know he has a son, Luca, and his ex-wife’s name is Crystal, and they’re no longer together.
And he, and he says he’s a single dad. And when he was presenting this in the pods, he was clearly coming across as. O One thing I didn’t like about Jordan, he literally made the fact that he was Luca’s father. His whole personality, it’s everything was about Luca this, Luca that. And then when we get back to his place in Denver and we see him and we hear him talk about it more, it doesn’t seem like he has 50 50 custody of Luca.
Am I wrong on that? And I’m not saying he can’t call himself a single dad because he is, he’s single and he’s a dad. But it seems like in the pods and on the show before they got back to Denver, Jordan was making it seem like I’m running the show with Luca. Like I’m in control of everything and. I felt like he kind of, did I say Casey?
If I did, I meant Megan. I felt like he gave Megan the wrong impression of his role in Luca’s life. Obviously, he’s Luca’s dad. I’m not taking that away. What I’m saying is if you don’t have 50 50 custody,
do you. I dunno. Maybe it’s just a semantics thing with me, but, and yes, he’s single and he’s a dad. So to call himself a single dad, I get it. But if your partner has more of the custody, is there a different way to present it to other people? ’cause I feel like Megan, the whole time she was hearing this was like, I’m gonna step into a stepmom role immediately with.
Luca, but it seems like Crystal has way more input. Like I felt Jordan was making it seem that he had more custody than Crystal did, and seemingly it’s the other way around. So again, it could be a semantics thing. I don’t expect him to say, I’m not a dad, or I’m not single. It. Just seeing it play out seems a little off about the way he presented himself.
Not to mention he made his whole personality about being Luca’s dad and seemingly doing everything for him, and I’m sure he did. I’m sure he does a lot of stuff with his son, but does he get him two days a week? Because I think that’s, that’s a little bit different, right? If you get, if you’re a parent that divorced.
If you’re a divorced parent and you share a child with somebody and you get them two days and the other parent gets them five, unless I’m doing my math wrong or unless it’s defined differently in the court systems, that’s not 50 50 custody. So I think he needed to present it that way, but maybe I’m wrong.
And he does have 50 50 custody. I just got the impression he only gets the kid on the weekends and maybe, I don’t know, one day during the week or something, I, he hasn’t really gone over. The custody rules. It’s just something about it that’s rubbing me the wrong way. With Jordan, I don’t think they’re together anymore, would be my guess.
I just don’t see them together. But again, I, I don’t know how people present it that way. You say you’re a single parent, do you immediately right away, say upfront what your custody exchange is and what the custody percentage is? Is it necessary? Or do you wait, and finally I’m recording this on Sunday night, all day yesterday, or as you’re listening to this yesterday, all day Sunday, getting commercials saying that Taylor Swift has a major announcement.
I’m assuming, and it was coming, it came this morning. So by the time you’re listening to this, it’s already out ’cause it came out on GMA this morning. I’m assuming she’s announcing the documentary about the Aris tour. ’cause people were saying it was being filmed by a ton of cameras and there was a lot of behind the scenes stuff that was being shot.
I’m guessing that’s what it is. Either way. That’s a Taylor Swift announcement and we finally saw her. Last night during the Lions Chiefs game, she was shown in the suite, but she wasn’t sitting in her normal seat standing there and cheering. You can tell she’s in the background more and probably has to do with security issues and it makes sense, but it was weird that she was not shown for the first three home games that the Chiefs had this year, or was it two?
I can’t remember. Was it two? The loss to the, they lost to the eagles. They beat the ravens. And this would’ve been, yeah, this was three, but this is the first time she was ever shown. But she was further back in the suite, so I don’t know if they had to get that approved. I don’t know if NBC said, oh, we got her.
Let’s just show her. We don’t need to inform her team of it. Really curious to see how that went. But she was there last night cheering on her boo. So, yay, Taytay. And Travis. Good for you.
