Daily Roundup 11/3 – My Rant on Why the Pascal Interview Has Been Taken Down And How I’m Kinda Flattered By It, & My Back To the Future Weekend

You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality. Steve Podcast, I’m your host reality. Steve, thank you all for tuning in on this Monday. Got a very infuriating. Rant to go on regarding A, B, C, and then I’ll talk about yesterday’s viewing of Back to the Future. I don’t necessarily have back to the future facts to give you, but some things that cross my mind while watching the movie yesterday.

So let’s get started. Alright. You’re very well aware that on Thursday, podcast number 4 67 was with Pascal. Some of you may have noticed over the weekend, some of you may have not. That interview has been scrubbed from Spotify, from Apple, from YouTube, from Instagram, from reels, from everything TikTok as well.

Why yesterday I got a message from Pascal wanting me to call him immediately, and the second I got it. I said, uh oh. Pascal then informs me that A B, C is going to sue him for $25,000 for breach of his contract. And I said, what was the breach? And they said, doing an interview

that wasn’t approved in the timeframe that. Is allowed by them, which is, and you’ve always known this. I’ve talked about this on my podcast numerous times. All interviews by contestants have to be approved by the show one year from the time that contestants finale airs. So I was very well aware of that.

I’ve talked about that numerous times on my podcast. However, two things I wanna point out. Number one, Pascal has his own podcast, and I’ve seen Pascal do other interviews, so in my head I assumed it was okay. The other thing was I just didn’t think back to last year. It kind of slipped my mind. I didn’t think Jones finale ran into November of last year, because remember, there was no.

There was no Bachelor in Paradise last summer, so it just never crossed my mind. This was a complete misstep on my part, but it wasn’t done intentionally. It wasn’t like, oh, let’s get after them. It was a simple misstep on my part. If I would’ve actually looked in, said, oh wait, Pascal. I think you’re under contract for a year and Jones finale didn’t air till November 13th, 2024.

Let’s do it After that, I absolutely would’ve waited two weeks and done the Pascal interview. So he calls me yesterday, obviously very flustered and says, can you please take everything down? And I said, sure, no problem. And I did. So it’s gone from Spotify. It’s gone from my YouTube channel, no video. I took down all the clips on YouTube shorts, on TikTok, on Instagram reels.

Everything’s gone. I just deleted it. Now, I asked Pascal and I said, did they say they won’t sue you for the 25,000 if I take everything down? And he said, yes. I said, okay. No problem. I don’t want the guy to get sued, but I wanna make it perfectly clear, this was a simple misstep on my part. Why do you think I never have contestants from this show on anymore, at least, you know, fresh off of Jen season, or fresh off of grant season, or fresh off of Paradise?

Because I know I can’t, I, I’ve abided by every rule that this show has done this for Pascal was a complete misstep on my part. But here’s the thing that pisses me off. We were two weeks early. What a bunch of petty assholes these people are, what’s the best way to put it? They are petty assholes. You know goddamn well that this interview would’ve been fine if it was November 14th or later, because nothing Pascal said in my interview.

Is nothing he hasn’t said already on his podcast or any other interviews he’s ever done. There was nothing in that interview remotely bad against the show, but because it was posted on October 30th, and technically he’s not supposed to do any non-approved interviews until November 13th, they threaten him with a lawsuit.

And again, I had no problem taking anything down, but I wanna make doubly sure because I thought it was an excellent interview. I wanna make doubly sure that after November 13th I can repost it. I hope I can. I don’t wanna rerecord an interview with Pascal. That doesn’t make any sense. I still have the audio.

I still have the video file on my computer. It’d be very easy to just upload it. Am I gonna, am I gonna upload the TikTok clips again and the in No, just because it’s, it’s timed out. But just to have it in there as part of my, it just, I, it just seems weird that podcast number 4 67 will be gone for the next couple weeks and it’s just gonna throw off the numbers.

I, I haven’t had to delete a podcast interview in almost nine years. A couple of very early ones I have deleted. I mean, talking about literally in the first 30 that I ever did are gone. So yeah, I mean, you talk about a bunch of petty assholes, and here’s the thing, you and I both know, there have been plenty of former contestants that did non-approved bachelor related podcast interviews.

Within that year timeframe, and nothing happens to them because this show plays favorites for whatever reason. I don’t know. I mean, there’s also a part of me in all this that actually feels flattered. It sucks for Pascal. I hope he doesn’t get sued. I took everything down, which is what they told him. Have him take everything down, fine.

It’s all down. Don’t sue him. But you know what? A, B, C, I’m fucking flattered that I bother you that much. I piss you off that much. All I did was post an interview with a guy 50 weeks after he was on your show, after his season was airing on your show, and you’re so bothered by me. You’re so petty that you’re willing to go sue this guy.

For doing an interview when I could name off the top of my head, 15 contestants right now that have broken their contract and done interviews that weren’t approved by you, but it’s because it’s reality, Steve, that you’re such little babies that you have to go, oh, we’re gonna sue you Pascal, get that off the internet.

If I can post it after November 13th, that just proves how petty you’re being because you’re literally like, oh yeah, it wasn’t approved within that year timeframe. Okay, fine, but I can post it on November 14th. It just is mind boggling to me. But again, I’m flattered. Thank you so much for being so bothered by me.

I did exactly. What you told Pascal I need to do so he doesn’t get in trouble. I’ve abided and you know, over the last few years, I leave your people alone. Your contestants don’t come on my podcast. You know why? ’cause I don’t even reach out to them. I know the rules. I’m very well aware. All podcast interviews, all interviews have to be approved one year from the time that contestants finale airs, it was just a misstep on my part.

I didn’t look, didn’t realize that Joan season ran into November of last year, but I went back yesterday after Pascal contacted me. I’m like, goddammit, November 13th. All right, fine. Technically he is in a breach of contract by doing an interview that wasn’t approved. Fine. I’ll take it down. There’s nothing on the internet anymore about Pascal’s interview.

I really hope they don’t go after him. They shouldn’t. It’s done. It’s over with. It’s gone. It’s gone from the internet, but just shows how petty they are, that honestly, I could technically post it on November 14th, one day after his contract is up. It shows you how much I bother them, the level of pettiness from this franchise because for 16 years they’ve been getting their asses kicked by a one man operation out of Frisco, Texas.
