Daily Roundup 11/4 – Update on Yesterday’s Bachelorette Filming, the Pascal Interview, Theresa Responds to Gerry’s Book Excerpt, & More Back to the Future News

You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality Sea podcast. I’m your host reality. Steve, thank you all for tuning in on this Tuesday. Good show for you. Got an update from the Bachelorette filming yesterday. A change of plans. Little more on the Pascal interview. The Gary Turner excerpts from his book have been released and Theresa has already responded.

This is not going well because I mean it, it’s a lot of, he said, she said, and it depends on who you believe, but I believe one person in this case has built up more credibility than the other one. So we’ll see. And yes, I do have more back to the future news for you. So let’s get started. As you know, filming began on Taylor Frankie Paul’s season last Sunday, October 26th.

The cast was released on the Bachelorette Facebook page on October 23rd. And filming began on the 26th, so they’ve had two row ceremonies. Yesterday was, you know, they had given out on bachelor nation.com two dates this week, Monday and Wednesday, where the audience was gonna be able to be a part of one of the group dates.

And yesterday was one of them. And Wednesday, tomorrow is going to be another one. However, yesterday’s group date. Was canceled. Now when I say it was canceled, I mean it was canceled in that everybody that was set to be an audience member got an email that said, we are no longer doing this date. I think the exact wording was something along the lines of, our group date today in Hollywood has been canceled.

Sorry, we won’t be seeing you today. So. This show has a rigorous filming schedule. I don’t think it means that there were just no dates and there was absolutely nothing that happened yesterday in bachelorette filming. I just think it means, and this is just a guess on my part, for whatever reason, they just decided not to go or they couldn’t go with an audience for the date that was supposed to show up.

’cause people had been sent emails, they were set to go. It was going to be in Hollywood. And they got an email yesterday morning, like literally hours before they were supposed to leave to go to this date saying this date has been canceled. So obviously it’s still early on in the shooting process. I don’t have any spoilers for you, but to me this just means the audience portion was canceled.

I don’t think they just canceled a day of dates for the heck of it, you know? We’ll find out more as this goes on. We’ll just have to look out for the first date after the second rose ceremony, which I believe this was, or maybe this was the second date after the second rose ceremony. Second group date.

We’ll have to see. Either way we’re looking at, actually, I do think it’s the second date, so we’ll just have to see once it airs. Or maybe I’ll find something out beforehand. But they don’t just cancel dates and meaning. They cancel the whole thing and nothing happened yesterday in filming. Something clearly happened to where they either just went through with whatever date they had planned.

They just didn’t do it in front of an audience. Or maybe something major happened. I don’t, I don’t think that’s the case. I think it’s more along the lines of, sorry, we just decided at the last minute for whatever reason, we’re not gonna go with some sort of audience, but there is a public quote unquote, date on Wednesday.

So we’ll see if any information gets out from that one. A few of you emailed me yesterday in regards to the Pascal interview saying. Hey Steve, I can still get it on my Apple Podcasts, and I’ve had a few of you email me that, and I’ve had a few of you say it’s no longer in my Apple Podcast feed, and the answer that I can share is.

I deleted it permanently from where I upload all my podcasts to on a daily basis and a weekly basis for the Thursday podcast. I’ve deleted it from that platform, which then takes it down from all the other ones. Right now, I still see it as I check my phone. Right now, I still see it sitting in my downloads on my podcast, but on Apple Podcasts.

But if I go to my Spotify. Reality, Steve Podcast feed. It’s not in that one. So when I Googled, how long does it take? Basically the internet answer was it could take hours, it could take days or weeks. It all depends on your computers, caching and stuff like that. So there’s no trace of it on the internet.

Is it still out there in some people’s feeds? Yeah, I guess so. But. I told Pascal, look, it’s deleted. If they want to come to me and ask, why haven’t you taken this down? I will literally show them my dashboard that shows it’s not in my dashboard of where I upload my podcasts. It’s not there, so I can’t control how long it takes Apple Podcasts to take it out of everybody in America’s feed that has my podcast downloaded and saved to their feeds.

I, I can’t control that. I did what Pascal told me to do. It’s gone, but it takes days, sometimes a week or weeks before it’s out and completely gone out of everybody’s based on what I read to be caching. So whatever that means. And I think one point that I wanted to make yesterday, but I forgot to, and why I’m so bothered by this.

Again, it had more to do with the fact that it’s not like I tried to put Pascal on two months after he was on the show. Like I know not to do that. I don’t even bother contacting contestants about coming on my podcast when I know they can’t come on. I don’t even bother asking them. Do some of them approach me wanting to be on my podcast?

Yes. And I tell them, look, I can’t have you on. There’s no way they’re gonna get this approved. So it is what it is, but. With that, it bothers me that we’re literally two weeks away from his contract being up, literally says November 13th, and they’re just so petty that they had to tell him, oh, we’re gonna sue you ’cause you didn’t interview two weeks before you were supposed to.

Okay, great. We could see what this is about. This is about reality, Steve. This has nothing to do with Pascal or what he said because let’s face it what he said. Nothing compared to some of the other contestants on this show that have literally verbally broken their contract in podcasts. You can hear them saying things they’re not supposed to say yet.

Nothing happens to them because they kiss the ass of the production team and the production team in turn kisses their ass back. But anybody that’s questionable or anybody that they don’t choose to like, oh, you did a podcast two weeks before you were supposed to. Well, we’re gonna sue you now. You owe us 25,000.

It’s like, shut up. So ridiculous. And the thing is, you listen to that interview and this is a message to A, B, C right now. You listen to that interview, I think I did a pretty damn good interview with Pascal. I think people really enjoyed that interview. The response I’ve gotten to it has been positive.

The people said, I really liked what he had to say, and. That’s the ironic thing about this. Like I’m not dumb enough to say that I don’t understand why A, B, C doesn’t like me. I get why they don’t like me. But you also have to understand in my position, and I’m just talking about the Pascal interview, two weeks before he was supposed to be out of his contract, and we did it two weeks early.

Oops. Like I said, total misstep on my part, but when you actually listen to the interview. And the interviews that I do do with contestants, I think I promote your show and I promote your contestants better than you do. The show does a horrible job of promoting their show on social media. And yeah, I know they’ve got the Bachelor Happy hour and they got Caitlin’s podcast and Nick’s podcast and almost famous, you know, no shot to those people.

I worry about what I can control and that is my interviews that I do with any former contestant of this show. And I think I do enough research and I think I do a good enough job on these interviews where people do listen to former contestants coming on my show. And think that they really have interesting stories to tell, and I get them to tell those stories so they can prevent me from interviewing recent contestants all they want.

I get it. I’m never going to get those people. You’re gonna have to listen to them on Bachelor, happy hour or almost Famous or Caitlyn or Nick or whatever. But all I’m saying is I think I do damn good interviews with your contestants, A, B, C, and I promote them way better than you do. So maybe you should rethink about being such sticklers for who goes on my podcast and when Just saying.
