So something that I talked about a lot last year that I never brought up this year. And then the announcement was last week and that was Sexes Sexiest Man alive by People Magazine. ’cause remember for the longest time I was like, Hey guys, Glen Powell is totally gonna win this thing.
And then you started hearing rumors that this is more of a, they ask people if they want it, they don’t just name somebody. The Sexiest Man alive. They ask around and rumors were floating around. The Glenn Powell’s team just said, no, we don’t want it. And that’s why he never got it. And they were like, okay, well who could it be?
People were making predictions. Some people were saying Joshua Jackson, which was a possibility. Some people were saying, I was gonna call him Seth Cohen, but no, Adam Brody because. He’s in the news now, Joshua Jackson in the news, and you know Anna Brody’s in the news because nobody wants this. Season two is just released, so he’s relevant.
Joshua Jackson has been doing stuff in the news. He’s relevant, but they ended up giving it to Jonathan Bailey, which was very interesting to me for one reason. Obviously, you know that I’m waiting in anticipation in two weeks for Wicked For Good, and. When I saw Wicked last year for the first time, I didn’t know who Jonathan Bailey was.
I knew he came from, well, I shouldn’t even say I knew. I read after the fact. He comes from theater. He was in Bridger 10. Okay. But I had never seen this guy’s face before. Wicked. If you would’ve said, here’s five guys, Steve, one of them is named Jonathan Bailey. Could you pick him out of a lineup? I would’ve said no.
So. After I saw Wicked, I can’t say that I ever saw anything with Jonathan Bailey after that, nor did I watch Wicked Again more than once or twice in the two or three weeks after it was released. So I hadn’t really seen Jonathan Bailey’s face in a year, and when I saw that he won Sexiest Man Alive, I said.
That didn’t even look like him. I guess I’m just used to him looking like Prince Fiero, but I wouldn’t have recognized him if they would’ve just said, here’s the people magazine’s, sexiest Man Alive for 2025, but didn’t put his name. I would’ve been like, I dunno who that is. ’cause he didn’t look like Prince Fiero.
But congratulations, I guess, uh, to Jonathan Bailey. Good for him. Uh, first Gay Man to ever win people magazine’s. Sexiest Man Alive. So that’s a milestone, right? Pretty sure I read that. That’s, uh, never been, that’s never happened before. But yeah, when I saw the announcement and it said Jonathan Bailey, I’m like, oh, prince Fierro, because that’s all I know him from.
I’d never seen him before. Wicked. I’ve never seen him since Wicked, and I can’t say I really thought about him all that much in the last year, but when I saw the photos, I’m like, oh, okay. I get it. Prince Firo. Got it. And we are now 11 days away from Wicked for Good. Next, I mean, it says next Friday, but usually that means Thursday.
It starts in select cities, but worldwide release next Friday. So I gotta purchase my tickets, actually, now that I think about it. But congratulations to Jonathan Bailey. And maybe next year for Joshua Jackson and or Adam Brody. So I want to talk about my Patreon channel, which the plan is I’m gonna launch sometime next week, hopefully.
And the plan is once I launch, I’m gonna be doing test runs on it, because I’m gonna have to get used to this thing. I’m not. Great on the technical side of stuff and posting things and all this. So it’s gonna be released next week, hopefully, and through the end of the calendar year is when I’m gonna be trying things out on it.
I think when 2026 comes around, I’ll have a better idea of what my schedule will be on. My Patreon channel, because if you’re gonna pay $5 a month, you’re gonna want some content. It’s not gonna be anything towards exclusives, but it is possible, and I’m thinking that maybe kind of like how Dave does it, where I might record an afternoon podcast on my Patreon, and so anybody watching it live will be getting it right then.
Then maybe an hour later it goes up on audio feed. Once I strip the audio from it and put in the ads and all that, then it goes on my audio feed. And that would be my afternoon podcast, which would be daily. And then in addition to that, anytime that there is, I don’t know, some late breaking news in bachelor world, I might jump on my Patreon anytime that there is, which would then, so there’s a couple things here.
When it comes to, we are gonna do live watches of movies and TV shows. That’s going to be on my picture on as well. But those cannot be transferred to my YouTube channel for copyright issues. But something happens in Bachelor world, or let’s say I wanna pop on and talk about another show and go to my Patreon.
That can be streamed on my Patreon and it would go up on my YouTube channel right afterwards. I could do that. So there’s just a lot of stuff, but I don’t have a set schedule of what I’m going to do. But I am telling you, we are gonna do live rewatch of movies just for fun and. Even if you miss it, obviously if I say, Hey, nine o’clock Eastern time we’re watching this movie, I understand that not every, everybody’s gonna be able to tune in right at nine o’clock when the movie starts.
You can join in at any time you want, and even if you miss the whole thing, it’s still gonna be up on my Patreon where you can go back and watch and you’ll be able to see the comments that people left. So it’s more of just kind, kind of a gathering where I haven’t done this ever, and it’s just something that I’m gonna try and then hope to have fun with it.
I would hope that the comments don’t get outta control, and I might need a moderator for that just to make sure that people aren’t ruining anyone else’s experience in there. But like I said, it’s gonna be five bucks a month. I have no plans as of right now to go to any tier service. Doesn’t mean it won’t in the future, but it’s not gonna be anytime soon.
Lemme tell you that right now, five bucks a month, we’re gonna have movie watches, TV show watches. Anytime. If there’s some breaking news, I might just go straight to my Patreon and and do that. So I could tell you right now, whenever it does start, not that this should come as any surprise to anybody, but the first thing I’m going to do on my Patreon in terms of a major movie watching event, I might do a video before that as like an intro, but in terms of the very first movie, watching night, whenever that may be, it’s obviously going to be back to the future.
Let’s just start off with that. It’s gonna happen, I don’t know what day of the week. And look, I understand that a lot of you are gonna be like, Hey, this day works better for me and this day works better for me. There’s no way I can appease everybody. I’m just gonna choose a day in time. It’ll be at night, and we just have to go with that.
And if you miss it, like I said, you’ll still, as long as you’re a you subscribe to it, you’ll be able to see it and you can watch it back at any time you want. With that said.
I found something else out in the back to the Future franchise this weekend that, I don’t wanna say I’m disappointed, but I’m so, you know, me over the last couple weeks I’ve been talking about how one of the reasons I love the franchise is because of their attention to detail. They don’t just make anything up and throw stuff in and dialogue in that doesn’t mean anything.
And one of the things that I talked about. This goes to back to the Future part two, when 2015, Biff goes back to 1955 and gives him, gives his younger self the Sports Almanac and they’re in his garage and he’s trying to prove to him, Hey, this book tells all the major sporting events from the future.
Listen, he turns on the radio and I, we went over this. He turns on the radio at the time he turns it on. It’s a college football game between Washington and UCLA and Washington’s winning 17, 16 and old. Biff says, I bet you UCLA wins 1917 and Biffs like younger Biff, like you heard what he said. Old man.
Game over. You lost. And then UCLA wins 1917. And I told you if you Google UCLA versus Washington, November 12th, 1955. That was an actual game that took place in the LA Coliseum. That was the final score on a field goal. Now, the field goal in real life was with 18 seconds left. In the movie, it was a game winning field goal, whatever.
But later on in the movie, after Biff kicks Marty in the chest and steals the Almanac back, and Marty has to hunt him down. When Marty is on the hoverboard attached to Biffs car, Biff is listening to the radio and on the radio. He’s listening to an announcer say, and here are the sports scores for today.
So Biff grabs the Great Sports Almanac and starts listening to the announcer say what the college football scores were for the day, while also reading his book. Well, Biff, you shouldn’t read and drive at the same time, another thing for another day. But what I never really dis, what I never really did until this weekend was I was like, wait a second.
Those scores. The announcer read on the radio are those real scores from November 12th, 1955, and by golly gee will occurs. They were, by the way, in that scene, you hear the announcer read 10 different college football scores. 10. And every single one of ’em I Googled over the weekend and every single one of ’em was right except for one.
Those 10 scores were UCLA over Washington 1917 Michigan State over Minnesota. 42 14 Ohio State over Iowa. 20 to 10. Michigan. Beat Indiana, 30 to nothing. Notre Dame beat North Carolina 27 7. Oklahoma 52. Nothing over Iowa State. Pitt beat West Virginia 26 7. Texas a and m over Rice 20 to 10 Maryland beat Clemson, 25 to 12 and TCU beat Texas 47 to 20.
You can clearly hear the announcer say all 10 of those scores, and even if you can’t clearly hear it, turn on your closed caption and it says the scores for everything. And if you Google like I did all 10 of those games and just put November 12th, 1955 after it, you’ll see those were all confirmed except for one.
Said one of the scores was Texas a and m beat Rice 20 to 10. They actually beat rice 20 to 12. So I’m like, you went through all that trouble to make sure everything was dim right down to 10 games where you had the correct teams playing each other. You had the correct winner and you had the correct score.
Except for one, you were off by two points. Like what intern needs to be fired over this? I know the movie was made in 1989. I get it. Can’t fire them now. But that just bothered me so much because they were so meticulous in every other detail that it’s like all you gotta do is Google right now a and m versus Rice, November 12th, 1955, and you will see what I saw.
A M was actually down 12, nothing, and they scored 20 in a row to end the game. But how did somebody who did the research for this movie get that wrong? It’s a simple, oh wait, simple Google search. There was no Google in 1989, but there clearly was some sort of record of that game. So yeah, little disappointed.
And yes, we will do a back to the Future part two rewatch on my Patreon as well. Maybe that’ll be the second movie we do. We’re, there’s a lot I have lined up of things I wanna watch and yes. Will most of them be from eighties and nineties? Classic movies? Yes, we absolutely will be doing that. But in addition to just, it’s like Steve, are we only gonna be watching movies on their Patreon?
No. There will be other entertainment things on there. There will be bachelor related stuff on there. I just don’t know right now of a set schedule of what I want to do, but. Definitely if you’re gonna pay five bucks a month for a Patreon, you’re gonna want content. You’re gonna, I it’s, you’re gonna get something at least once or twice a week.
Some might be short, some might even be me going back to writing something for God’s sakes. That would be amazing, wouldn’t it? But even if it’s just something short, like, Hey, this is coming later tonight, or this news. There’s just so many things it can do. And. I appreciate if you come along for the ride.
It’ll be a lot of fun and a lot of you can interact with each other on there in comment section and you can comment to each other when I’m not even doing something live. They have that ability as well. So plenty of stuff to do, but I just wanted to give you a heads up on the Patreon. Anyway, thank you all for listening.
I really appreciate it. Follow me on Apple Podcast. Also, rate interview, but you gotta hit play. It’s the only way it counts as a download. Sports Daily coming up in an hour from now, so go check that out. Again, thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it. And I’ll talk to you tomorrow. See you.
