We’re gonna talk about Dancing with the Stars tonight because we have a very special. Guest judge returning to the ballroom. I’m sure you’ve heard it by now.
Tori Spelling is officially single as her divorce was finalized. I’ll tell you what that means for Donna. I mean, Tori Burger King has a new menu coming out on December 2nd that I’ve got questions about and. No batch, no Back to the Future. Fun fact for you today. But I do have some back to the future related stories to tell you from you, the listeners that have emailed me.
So let’s get started. So tonight, in case you didn’t know, dancing With the Stars is bringing back Tom Bergeron the host, who I believe was the host for 20 seasons, maybe more, and. Actually it’s been, it was probably more, right? He hasn’t not been the host for 14 seasons, has he? I don’t remember the exact number, but basically if you don’t know the story right around COVID, he basically, and if it was COVID or 2019, right before COVID, it was going into the election season, he basically told executive producers, Hey, we have a fun show.
It’s lighthearted. We do this show so that people can forget what’s going on politically in this world. And he told the executive producers about that and they agreed. And then one day they were reading him, the cast of a particular season, and when they got to the last person in the cast, they said, you might wanna sit down for this one.
And they told him, we’ve cast Sean Spicer, who was. The, what’s the name of that person who speaks at the press conferences for the president? He was obviously Trump’s former speaker, press secretary. Right. That’s the name of it. And at that point, Bergeron was like, that pissed me off because that’s not our show.
They are doing it for basically clicks and ratings and to get eyeballs, and he just thought that’s not the direction he wanted the show to go in. And from that moment on, he had pretty much given up on the show and was out. And he hated the casting of Sean Spicer just because not anything, you know, because he’s a certain political party and Spicer’s not that political party.
It was just that he didn’t feel. This show needed that he, he didn’t feel, he said, look, these people tune in to escape what’s going on politically in the world. And for them to cast him, I was out and he never thought he would ever come back to this show in any capacity. And he hasn’t been back ever since he left the show.
But the old regime who did cast Sean Spicer is no longer doing Dancing with the Stars. He sees the popularity of it. He sees the resurgence. He did a couple interviews over the last week and he said, I’m excited. He goes, I would not have come back if it was under the old regime. No way. But new people are running it.
They know what they’re doing. There’s clearly a resurgence. Look at the ratings. Look at the voting. The numbers are up. This is the one, this is the show that I loved being a part of. This is what I want to be a part of, and he agreed to come back and he’s gonna be a guest judge tonight. We also know that former winners of this show are all coming back to dance with a in a threesome dance.
I know Rashad Jennings is coming back. Caitlyn Bristow is coming back. Apollo, Anton Ono is coming back. The whole list is out there, but those are the ones that are popping into my head right now that I know for sure. And obviously other ones as well. Oh who did? Sochi Gomez. She’s coming back and others.
So they are gonna be part of people’s dances and you can just look online. They’re not keeping it a secret. It’s not like that was any sort of spoiler. It’s online of. Not only who is coming back that’s a former winner, but who they are dancing with in the threesome dance. So look for that tonight. But I think it’ll be really cool to have Tom Berger on back because he was the epitome of what this show was.
He was a great host. I mean, he was host of America’s Funniest Home Videos for all those years. He’s just a class act. Hasn’t really done much since he left Dancing with the Stars. Has he? I mean he, I wanna say he’s off into semi-retirement ’cause I don’t think he’s done another show and just the fact that he’s coming back for tonight I think is super, super cool.
It’d be good to see him. Tori Spelling says in her latest podcast, her divorce is finalized and she is now officially a single woman. Now we’ve heard stories. This divorce has gone on for I think a couple years now. We’ve heard stories over the last couple years of her dating. I don’t know if she’s ever come out and said, I know she has said she is dating.
I think she’s talked about dating stories on her podcast, but I don’t know if she’s ever revealed. The name or who it was. I think there’s been paparazzi pictures of her out with people and out. But I can’t off the top of my head, remember if it was anybody in the acting world that we know or anything like that.
But she is now officially single. The divorce was finalized within the last few days, so now Donna Martin is free to start dating again and I gotta believe, hey. Is Ray Pruitt single? Do we think maybe they can rekindle the old flame? ’cause remember, while it did end poorly for them on 9 0 2 1 oh, because they didn’t want Jamie Walters, the man who played Ray Pruitt on the show because they didn’t want him to have such a h, an awful ending, basically, as a boyfriend and a girlfriend abuser, remember?
At the end of season six, he had left earlier in the season when he made up that lie that Joe Bradley beat him up. Brandon got into Ray’s head and basically said, you know what you’re doing here, don’t do it. You could ruin this guy’s career. And Ray ended up getting a conscience and decided not to press charges.
Then he was gone for the rest of the season. We just thought we would never see Ray Pruitt again. And then at the end of season six, they brought him back because David and Donna started making videos for rock bands and they got signed to a label and that label said, Hey, we got this hot new artist for you to do videos for.
And it ended up being Ray Pruitt. And they initially thought, oh my gosh, well we can’t work with Ray. He threw her down the stairs in Palm Springs. And then Ray walks into the room, Donna’s like, Ray, let’s just not do this. And then Ray says, come on. He basically has done a complete 180. He’s now engaged to somebody else.
And that was the way to bring Ray back on the show and kind of smooth things over. I’m almost positive. Yeah, they brought him back in season seven too. For an episode when they went out to Vegas when? When David was having one of his manic episodes. And that was season seven, right? Yeah, it was like the next season.
And Ray was performing out in Vegas. And again, his appearance on the show, they cast him in a much better light than a girlfriend abuser. So it was clear, the show probably felt bad because, I mean, I’m sure you’ve heard the story. I know I’ve talked about it. On this podcast that Jamie Walters was literally getting death threats and
Aaron spelling Tory’s dad, who created the show was getting a lot of fan mail saying, how can Ray do this to Donna? Why are you having this girlfriend abuser as Donna’s boyfriend, even though it was a TV show and it wasn’t real? There were crazies back then, just like there’s crazies now on the internet that take things too seriously.
There were crazies back then that were literally mad at Jamie Walters, the music performer, and were showing up to his concerts and booing him because of his character on 9 0 2 1 oh. That’s how batshit crazy The internet was in the mid nineties about this show, so Aaron Spelling said we can’t have him as Donna’s boyfriend anymore.
I’m getting too much shit for it. Write him off the show. So they did write him off the show with that trial with Joe Bradley, but then they brought him back to kind of redeem his character, which I think was the right thing to do. Anyway, to get back to the original point of the story, Tori spelling is single and I think she should date Ray Pew.
Pray Pruitt. In real life, if he’s not married, even though I think he is, maybe she should date David, even though he’s not single. He’s married to Charna Berg. Are they married? I can’t remember if. David Silver married Shauna, s Shana Burgess or not. I know they have a child together, so I don’t know. Who else can we bring?
Donna? Who else can we bring back for Donna to date? Casper Van dm. Vince Vincent Young, the guy from season eight and nine. Hell, Joe Bradley. Is he around? Is he still coaching high school football in Pennsylvania with his brother? Maybe he’s sick of that for the last, I don’t know, 30 years and wants to come back to Beverly Hills and date Donna?
