In reality, Steve Land, because my Patreon channel is launching this week, I’ll have all your stuff for you. Hopefully tomorrow it’ll be all over. My socials tell you what it is, what we’re gonna do, what I decided, at least one thing that the Patreon people are going to get, what the live Rees are gonna be.
You know, I’ve talked about the movies that we are going to rewatch at times. We’re also gonna do very memorable television episodes, ones that are mostly from the eighties and nineties. So even if you are a millennial, you’ve probably seen clips of these. You’ve probably heard about them, and it’ll just be kind of a fun time.
You know, I’m not going on my Patreon channel to deliver sermons. I’m not gonna go on my Patreon channel. You know, I’m just, I don’t cover politics because I don’t follow it. And in the times that we’re in, I just think we need a little more lighthearted stuff and it’s gonna be more fun. Every time I go live on Patreon, we are going to have, uh, a chat available for all you to participate.
It’s kind of why I wanted to do it, because I’ve never been able to. I really have, except when I’ve gone live on my YouTube channel, and I do wanna distinguish something from my Patreon and my YouTube channel when I do the live rewatch. Whether we rewatch a movie or rewatch a very famous episode of television, those will not.
End up on my YouTube channel for copyright reasons. So those are exclusives that will be to my Patreon only. I can’t put those on my YouTube channel. They’ll get taken down. So that’s one benefit of signing up for the Patreon. And I will be talking Bachelor stuff on there, and there will be times maybe I give an opinion or a take on something that happened in Bachelor world, and you’ll hear it on my Patreon first.
Others will hear it later. So outside of the rewatch of eighties and nineties movies and eighties and nineties TV shows, those are really the only exclusives that the Patreon people are getting. Everything else will eventually end up on my platform somewhere, whether it’s a podcast or on my YouTube channel, but there will be some benefits, like I said, to my Patreon channel, and again, it’s gonna be five bucks a month.
And there will be a price for a year. I just have to determine exactly what that is. I’ll find that out today. You can pay for a year, or you can pay $5 a month. If you pay for a year right up front, you will save money. I just gotta see if it’s a percentage or if I can just do a dollar amount for the full year.
So stay tuned. It’s coming probably tomorrow. I’ll have the announcement in my podcast tomorrow, but I’m really excited about this and just as a mini spoiler. Leave this Friday night Open. Just saying, and hey, I got another email about Back to the Future. Wanted to read this one to you. Hey Steve, count me in as another listener who had forgotten most of what happened in the movie since I was a kid.
But hearing you talk about it, I downloaded the trilogy on Amazon for 1399. Good deal. And watched with my five-year-old son. He probably didn’t understand everything, but he loved the movies, especially the DeLorean and the trains in part three. Now he’s begging me to get the Lego DeLorean. He loves Legos, and I figured you should probably also build that one to add to your DeLorean models.
Anyway, just another listener who’s been enjoying hearing about the movies. I am very well aware of the DeLorean Lego model For me, I just don’t have the patience to put one together. But if I can find online somewhere where I can purchase an already made DeLorean Lego, a Lego DeLorean, I’ll absolutely purchase that.
I just don’t wanna put it together. I just, I’m trying to think if I, I mean, I’m sure I. Had Legos as a kid, but I don’t ever remember being obsessed with them where I was constantly building them. So I have no interest in doing it at 50 years old, but if I can buy someone who already puts one together, I would do that.
So it’s funny, I’ve got my magnetized DeLorean, which you will be seeing shortly, and I’ve got my. DeLorean that I got at the 40 year anniversary showing that you can put popcorn in, which you might be seeing shortly as well. Do I get the Lego DeLorean? I probably should. Right? But it’s gotta be put together already.
I don’t wanna make it, and I don’t even know if somebody online is doing that or would do that. I don’t know. I had, I’d have to look. Maybe I can go on eBay. I’ll check eBay and see if they have it. I gotta believe somebody wants to sell the Lego DeLorean that they put together themselves. Right. And honestly, I honestly, it’s been, and it’s probably been 45 years since I’ve touched a Lego, so my question is, I, I guess it all depends on the intricacy of what exactly you’re putting together.
But how long does it take to put a Lego DeLorean together? Are we talking like it takes a few days or a few hours or a few weeks? There’s no way. It takes a few weeks, right? That’d be way too long. I guess it all depends on how much time you put into it per day, but I, I just don’t have the patience to put together a Lego set.
So yeah, I’m good on the, uh, DeLorean Lego, but. I’ll look for it. And I think it’s really cool that we now have a five-year-old, a new five-year-old that has been turned on to the franchise and yeah, I don’t think there’s any way a five-year-old understands the time jumping and especially all three movies.
If you watch them in a row, that’s great. Probably is a little bit easier to understand as an adult if you watch ’em all in a row versus spacing them out. But for a 5-year-old, I mean shit at 10 years old. After I saw the second one, I had to really think about what I had just watched and been like, wait, what?
Because you gotta remember, they were in 2015. They were in 1985, regular 1985. They were in alternate 1985, and they were back in 1955. And then in three, they were in alternate 19 85, 18 85, and then back to regular 1985. Like it does get confusing. ’cause then you gotta think, I think the most confusing thing for most people would be at the very end of back to the future too.
After doc. 1955, doc sends 1985, Marty back to 1985, and then that 1985, Marty comes running around the corner saying he’s back from the future. That could make your brain freeze a little bit for sure, but still great. It still makes the most sense. So anyway, looking forward, uh, to this week to say the least.
And finally, I noticed this on Instagram over the weekend, and I have no idea when this started, and I have no idea when it’s going away, or did it just start for me? And for a lot of you, it’s been going on for a while. It’s this, for the longest time, up until this weekend, when I look at somebody’s Instagram post and I see when it was posted, you have to go underneath.
The caption and you know, one or two comments. This weekend it got moved to underneath their screen name. At least for me it did. Is that the same for everybody else? Because that’s the first I noticed it. I would’ve noticed it a lot sooner considering I’m on Instagram every day and sometimes you wanna see when was this posted and you just scroll down a little bit in the post, or you hit, you gotta hit more.
Most of the time you have to hit more. Because somebody has comments and hashtags and you have to hit more to see when it was post. Now it’s under the screen name. When did this happen? Has this been, am I just an account that it got to later than normal because I literally did not notice it until Saturday, maybe Friday, either Friday or Saturday.
I noticed it for the first time and I was like, this isn’t normal, but. I’m just curious when other people got theirs or if you’ve noticed it. Maybe people don’t care when most things are posted, but I always like to see because I’m like, wait a second, was this posted 12 minutes ago or was this posted three days ago?
I always like seeing when things are posted and, yeah. Now it’s underneath, right underneath the screen name at the top of the Instagram. Weird. Anyway, thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it. Follow me in Apple podcast. Also, rate and review, but you gotta hit play. It’s the only way it counts as a download.
Sports Daily, coming up in an hour from now. Stay tuned this week. Big, big week. Patreon’s getting launched. Keep Friday night open. Anyway. Thanks all for listening. I appreciate it and I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
See ya
