So today is Cyber Monday. And Friday was Black Friday and that’s the big day where all the outlets and the retail stores and online stores are all having their big sales. And I can’t say I’ve ever really gotten into it. I remember back in the day, it was before the online craze.
It was you literally are camping out overnight to get into Best Buy on Black Friday, the morning of Black Friday. Then it turned into, well, we’re not opening our doors at 6:00 AM on Black Friday. We’re opening them up at midnight so people are camping out on Thanksgiving night. Well, now everyone has all these online deals and whatnot, and I can’t say I’ve ever really been a huge fan of it.
I definitely, I don’t, I I never waited in line early to go shopping on Black Friday. And I did get one thing today though for Cyber Monday. And it was just treats for Luca. I went on Amazon, I’m running outta treats, so I had to get ’em for her and they were like, cyber Monday deal 40% off. I’m like, sweet.
Great. Don’t have to pay almo. Almost full price for this anymore. So my question though is, ’cause I do all my shopping online now. I very rarely go into a store and buy anything, even clothes. I just buy it online. If it doesn’t fit, I return it and get the different size. I mean that’s, I call me lazy. I just, outside of going to men’s warehouse when I need to get a new suit, certainly will go in there ’cause I need to get measured.
But I’m just talking t-shirts, shorts, sweats, anything like that. I’m just buying online and hoping it fits me when it gets here. But is it really only two days outta the year where they’re having these? I feel like I see a cyber Monday every few months. Maybe just Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the the biggest ones.
But there’s no way that this was the only cyber Monday of the 52 Mondays outta the year. Right. Yeah, there’s more. I feel like there’s always deals going on. So what is the main deal from Black Friday and Cyber Monday? Is it just because those are the biggest discounts you’re getting from retailers and online cloth ears and stuff?
I don’t know. I mean, I say I get all my stuff online, but it’s not constantly online getting it. I just don’t, I avoid it. Most of my stuff I get is from Amazon and it’s usually for household stuff, for anything for Luca, food wise, treat wise, I’m getting it on Amazon. But yeah, I guess I saved 40% by getting her her treats today.
Thank God. ’cause she just happened to run out yesterday. If she didn’t, I guess I would’ve missed out on my Cyber Monday deal. Yay. Me. Couple dance with the Stars stories for you. First off, I’m sure you saw this, Whitney Carson is taking some flack because she posted, which has now been deleted from her Instagram.
She posted a screenshot of a text conversation she was having with her husband, Carson McAllister and. In that screenshot, her husband is saying to her, Zach Efron is here Now. People who have been following it more closely than I have know when this was sent, and what he was referring to was referring to Zach Efron is here about being in the dance with the Stars audience.
Was he at an event? I don’t know what it was. And looking at the story, it doesn’t say where he was referring to when he said Zach Efrin is here. Well, Whitney responded to that text to her husband and said, I saw they’re trying to get votes. So she’s taken some heat for that, for basically throwing shade at Dylan for bringing his brother around to whatever this was.
She has since deleted the post. She hasn’t acknowledged why she deleted it. Some people are saying that was rude of her, and some people are saying every celebrity will use any connection they have to try and get more votes. Nothing he did was outta the ordinary and Whitney certainly wasn’t like upset at him for doing so.
My question is, I didn’t see the context in why she posted this. It was just posted to her Instagram stories and people screenshot it before she deleted it. So I saw it, but I don’t get what they were talking about. ’cause when I pull it up right now,
I can’t. It looks like it was, it was posted two days ago, but I don’t know when she actually posted this on our Instagram story, but it was on the pop culture chat of Reddit. Yeah, we’re, she’s talking to her husband on a text message, but I don’t know why she posted this. Zach Efrin is here. I saw they’re trying to get votes, so freaking good.
Love you, baby. Your guys plan. I, a lot of it is shaded out, so I can’t really, I can’t really tell.
I guess he was talking about Zach Efron being in attendance at Dancing With the Stars. But I, I, this seems to be just mountain out of a molehill. I mean, Dylan finished fourth, Whitney won. Like, why are we, why is this even really a story? ’cause I don’t think she was throwing shade at him. Didn’t seem like it to me.
The other thing about Dancing with the Stars, did Alex Earl break up with boyfriend Braxton Barrios? There were comments saying Braxton was never at Dancing with the Stars. Someone wrote on one of her social media posts, Ugh, I hope you and Braxton are still together. And Alex replied, he couldn’t come because of football.
Makes sense. The guy is playing football. He’s on the Houston Texans. I don’t even know if he’s actually healthy enough to play, but you gotta be with the team. And the only days off in football during a regular week are if you have a Thursday game, you get the rest of the weekend off. But if you have a game on Sunday, you’re at the facilities for basketball.
Basketball for football facilities. On Monday, your days off are Tuesday. So I guess technically he could have gone on Tuesdays to la but. I, I think that would have looked bad. I’d have to look up if Braxton has played this year. I don’t, I wanna say he’s been hurt. Hold on. Let me look real quick.
Braxton Barrios, let me look at his he’s a healthy scratch, so he’s, he’s healthy, he’s just not good enough to crack The Houston Texans wide receiver group, he’s played in four games. He’s had six receptions for eight yards. Sorry, six receptions, eight targets, six receptions for 37 yards, no touchdowns this year.
He’s gotten three first downs out of his six catches, though. But yeah, he’s only played in four games and the Texans have played 12, so it looks like he’s just currently inactive. I don’t believe he’s hurt right now. It just wouldn’t be a good look if every Tuesday he was flying to Dancing with the Stars, even though that is the off day for NFL players.
I get why he hasn’t. But I could also understand why people thought, oh, they must not be together. He’s never showing up. Well, I guess that would be for people who don’t follow the NFL and realize he can’t show up. So the short answer is no. Alex and Braxton are still together. And finally. Look at the box office numbers from this past weekend.
You kind of knew that with Zootopia two premiering this weekend, it was going to knock Wicked for good into the number two spot, which it did. But basically, Zootopia had almost the exact same domestic gross this past weekend that Wicked For Good did the previous weekend when Wicked for Good did around, I believe 156 million.
It’s exactly what Zootopia two did with their Thanksgiving weekend opening. Now you always expect a drop in week two. Wicked went down to 62.8 million in its second weekend. If you expand it to five days and you include Thanksgiving, got 93 million worldwide, 57% drop from its 150 million Premier last weekend.
But. It’s still really good considering how much this franchise has made. And did you see the story that they’re in talks to basically do more wicked movies because their fan base? Look, when you make two successful movies like that, of course you can do a prequel to the prequel or you can just make something else up or.
Focus on another character and their storyline. I don’t know what they’re gonna do. I don’t even know if the new movies, but they are going to include Ariana Grande and or Cynthia Arriva. We have no idea. It’s in the early stages, but basically they’re just looking at it as like, we have to capitalize on this franchise.
It’s too popular. People are gonna come and see it. It’s just a matter of what we do with it, who we focus on, what the story is. ’cause as far as I know. There was just a wicked book. Were there offshoots of the wicked books focusing on Bach or focusing on Fiero or focusing on the animals? I, I don’t think there was.
So it’ll be interesting when they do come up with a story and do decide what the next movie is gonna be about, who are they gonna focus it on, and who’s gonna come up with the script. But maybe there already is a book out there and they’re gonna go after that. I’m not sure. I don’t think I ever saw Zootopia.
Obviously it’s a kid’s movie, but I think when Zootopia came out, my niece and nephew had pretty much outgrown that. So I don’t even know who the voices are in Zootopia. Should I look? Does it matter? Probably not. ’cause I’m not gonna go see it. And then as I’m reading the article even further.
There is a movie coming out next weekend, five nights at Freddy’s two, and I was like, yeah, I think I remember that coming out a couple years ago, the original five nights at Freddy’s.
I did not realize that movie made $80 million in its premier and global gross of $291 million five nights at Freddy’s. Is it like funny, scary, or just scary? What is this garbage? Sorry. If anyone you know is associated with five nights at Freddy’s, but it just looks silly. Just let me know when the next scream movie is out.
