Daily Roundup 12/2 – One of Taylor’s Hometowns Spoiled, Content Creator Pet Peeve From Last Week, Paul Anka Talks Sinatra’s Junk, & Simon Cowell Admits to Being Harsh on Idol

so this headline caught my eye the other day. Paul Anca sets records straight on rumors about well endowed Frank Sinatra,

and it was kind of making the rounds on all the entertainment sites. Page six people.com. Anyway, Paul Anca says he is confirming the rumors about Frank Sinatra’s well endowed ness. He said, yeah, it was huge. I don’t know what that does for you. He hung out with the rat pack in Vegas and apparently went in the saunas with them.

I guess that’s how he knew.

I didn’t know this until I read the story. This just seems totally ridiculous, but Sinatra’s second wife, Ava Gardner. He previously has described his in well endowed ness as having a 19 pound penis look.

I, there’s no way. There’s no way. If you wanna convince me it’s 19 inches and it’s a foot and a half long even, that’s pretty much impossible to believe. 19 pounds that on a human. Come on. That’s ridiculous. That is absolutely ridiculous. Who is Sinatra paying old blue eyes. Who’s he paying to say this about him?

By the way, you know that Paul Anka was the one that wrote my way. I didn’t know that he wrote it when he was 24 years old. And he gave it to Sinatra, and two months later, Sinatra recorded it and the rest is history, as they say. Since that’s one of the most famous songs of all time, I guess. I didn’t realize Paul Anka and his 19 pound penis wrote that song.

Come on, 19 pounds. Shut up. By the way, the reason this was even in the news is because. Paul Anka had an HBO Max documentary that came out yesterday called Paul Anka My Way, and he has a new album coming out early next year. This guy’s 84, he’s putting out albums. I mean, good for him, but how about we tap the brakes on the dick?

Talk of your best friend or one of your good friend, especially when it’s not the, I mean, he said he is well endowed. That’s fine. His second wife, David Gardner, was the one that said it was 19 pounds. Which is just stupid. At least Paul Inca didn’t say, oh yeah, I saw it go down to his knee or whatever. You know?

He just said, yeah, he is well endowed. Okay. The other guy, he said, he is well endowed, Milton Burl. But that’s been, I don’t wanna say it’s been an urban legend, but that’s, I’ve heard so many people on podcasts that I’ve listened to kind of throw that out there. Apparently it’s well known in the industry that Milton Burl was well hung.

Which is kind of funny ’cause when I think of Milton Bur, I think of Beverly Hills 9 0 2 1 oh because he was in a nursing home in one episode where I think it was season five because it was after Steve Sanders got in trouble for the frat house fire and he had to do community service and he had to work at a nursing home.

Milton Burl was the guy who he became close to, and Milton Burl was, I think in the episode suffering from dementia. And it was just a one episode. It was a one-off for Milton Burl, but it was just so random to see Milton Burl on 9 0 2 1, oh, maybe, maybe he owed Aaron spelling a favor or something. I don’t know.

But yeah, he was in an episode of 9 0 2 1 oh. As a nursing home patient that was essentially losing his mind. And finally, I’ve talked about this in the past. I actually talked about it last week because we were talking about ratings and TV shows back in the day, we were talking about Dancing with the Stars and what it did on finale nine.

I’m just like, we haven’t seen numbers like this in so long. And when I was talking about shows, even in the mid two thousands. You know, idol was up there getting 35 million viewers a week on just their regular show. It didn’t even take a finale. Their regular show was getting 30, 35 million viewers a week.

Well, someone did an interview, the New York Times, did an interview with Simon Cow Cowell this week and just asked about him as the American Idol Judge, and basically he said. This was his exact quote. I wasn’t trying to be a dick on purpose. All I wanted with these shows was to find successful artists to sign to the label.

So when all these people were coming in and they couldn’t sing, we would say after 10 seconds, you can’t sing. Not you’re going to be brilliant. But even Simon admitted he felt, he crossed the line sometimes. He said, I did realize I’ve probably gone too far. I didn’t particularly like audition days because they’re long and boring.

I would get fed up and of course out of a hundred nice comments, what are they going to use? They’re always going to use me in a bad mood. I got that. What can I say? I’m sorry. And he basically is sorry for just being a dick. And it is funny to think back at that because it was accepted and. We all know this was a reality show and you had to have the really quick witted and sharp tongue Brit as a judge, this is one of the first ones we saw where it was a judging show and they brought somebody in from overseas that nobody had ever heard of, and they were always the one that were the most outspoken.

And Simon. To his credit, you know, he basically says, yeah, I went too far sometimes because he wasn’t, sometimes he didn’t critique the music and he didn’t critique the singing. He would critique what they looked like, which makes no sense. It doesn’t matter what they look like. If they can sing, they can sing.

So to hear him say it years later, it’s like, yeah, it’s just amazing that at that time. That’s what people were into watching. Like when you watched Idol back in the day. Yeah, it was nice to get some good singers and you know, you break through with a Carrie Underwood who’s had an unbelievable career and Kelly Clarkson unbelievable career and others.

But when he was saying what he was about contestants, and we were watching that show, let’s be honest. When we watched the auditions, the best part of the auditions were the bad ones. Now, when you watch American Idol. Whether it was, you know, Lionel, Katie and Luke, now Katie, replaced by Carrie. I don’t even think they show bad auditions anymore.

If they do, it’s in a montage, but they don’t literally dedicate one whole segment of a TV show now to a bad singer that can just get insulted by the judges. And if they’re bad, like there’s the idea of being bad where you’re. I wouldn’t even say bad. Were you just not getting a golden ticket? There’s that type of singer on the show now and then the golden ticket people, but they don’t put anybody on that’s like William Hung anymore.

They haven’t done that for years. And it makes sense because that’s basically bullying and that’s what Simon did. He just bullied people. He was a British bully. In the early two thousands when it came to American Idol, but everybody ate it up like it was the times we were living in. It doesn’t make it right, but this is what he did.

That was his bid, and we just all went along with it and it is the reason why the show became popular. The live shows became popular because that’s when we got to see all the good singers. But the audition shows were just as popular ’cause people wanted to see, I mean, everybody the next day was talking about, what did Simon say about so and so?

He was the talk of reality TV. When American Idol hit its peak, it was all about Simon and because he was so. Sharped. It’s when he did compliment a singer, that’s when you’re like, okay, now that person must really be good if Simon’s gonna compliment them, because yeah, he just did not hand out compliments.

Like, oh, I don’t know Derek Huff. You know what I mean? It was hard to get a compliment outta Simon for somebody’s performance. And yeah, he did take it too far sometimes. But looking back on it now, it’s almost like, wow. I can’t believe he got away with what he did. That would never fly on any reality show now anyway, thank you all for listening.

I really appreciate it. Follow me on Apple Podcasts. Also, rate and review, but you gotta hit play. It’s the only way it counts is to download Sports Daily coming up in an hour for now, so you gotta check that out. Anyway, thanks again for listening. I appreciate it. And I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
