A couple survivor notes for you. We know season 50 comes out on February 25th and all throughout season 49 online and during commercial break of the shows, you saw Jeff Propt saying, Hey, if you go to this website, you can vote on things that will be implemented in season 50.
Well, he wasn’t saying it during 49 ’cause they had pretty much already finished filming 50 at that point. By the time it was airing, 50 had already filmed, so they were doing it beforehand. But you get my point. We as the audience, were allowed to vote on things we wanted to see in season 50 before they started filming it.
And one of the things that we got to vote on was, did you want, do you want the live finale back or just the regular reunion show filmed right after the final tribal. I said it at the time, I guaranteed that vote was gonna be 95%. The audience wants the live reunion back. Well, it has now been confirmed. We are getting the live reunion back for Survivor Season 50.
That was a no-brainer. There was no way that wasn’t gonna get 51% of the votes. Now we don’t know the exact date of it yet because they haven’t released the finale night of Survivor 50, but. They have said that we are getting the live finale back. We did see during the Golden Globes, or maybe it was during the football game this weekend, one of the two that, the other thing that we’re gonna see, and this is kind of whatever, to me, they’ve been promoting the fact that they’re gonna hide an idle in 50 different states and those clues are gonna be coming and people can find the idol in each state well.
Those 50 people who happen to find the idol based on whatever clues are given out in each of the 50 states, those 50 people people are gonna get now, get flown out to the live finale on season 50 and get, I don’t know, stand on stage and wave and get an acknowledgement of some sorts that they were the ones to find the hidden immunity idol somewhere in their state.
You know, unless this thing is within a, I don’t know, half mile radius of me, I have zero interest in looking for it. Sorry. I, it just, I, I guarantee there will be some people in certain states that once they hear the clues, if it’s in any city, just survivor diehards, if it’s in any city in their state, even if it’s 300 miles away, they’ll probably go look for it, you know?
But I guess the thing that I wanna know about this is once it’s found within that state. Will there be some sort of website that says, Hey, if you’re in Arizona, stop looking. It’s been found. Are they just gonna let people twist in the wind and start looking, continue to look for stuff and look for an idol when it’s already been found?
I would think they would update people. But I have no idea how this thing is working. It’s the first time they’ve ever done something like this. But along with the announcement the other day that the live finale is returning, we did see that all 50 people that do find idols in their states will be invited and flown out to LA to attend the live finale.
And I’m assuming, get some sort of acknowledgement or I, I don’t know. Maybe not. Maybe it’s just they get to watch the live finale, who knows? But the other big thing that Survivor announced yesterday. Is beginning on January 24th, so 11 days from now at 5:15 PM Eastern Time. Pluto TV is going to run all 49 seasons of Survivor with a free all season marathon heading into the February 25th Premier of Season 50.
Pluto’s gonna have a 24 7 survivor channel, and it’s gonna stream every season in chronological order. All the way up to 49. Now, you could watch all those seasons right now on, I believe, paramount Plus, but you have to pay for that. A lot of people do have Paramount Plus, so you can go watch it, whatever right now, but on Pluto it’ll be free.
Now you’ll have to deal with commercials. So it’s what do you wanna do? Would you rather watch? Now, I don’t know how many people are actually gonna watch. Every episode for 49 seasons from January 24th up until February 25th. Be a hell of a fan if you did that. But if you did want to go that route, who, which way would you do, would you go through Pluto TV and be like, I wanna see it for free, but, and I’ll deal with the commercials, or no, I’ll just go to Paramount Plus.
Because I already have Paramount Plus, but basically this is for people who don’t have Paramount Plus, if you wanna watch every episode that’s ever aired in the history of Survivor, you can, starting on January 24th on Pluto tv. I mean Survivor is really, really going all out for Survivor 50. I mean, they are pulling out all the stops we have heard.

I recorded with her and we briefly talk about 50, but we spent a lot of time talking about what’s going on with this sage video that she dropped last week. ’cause I wanted to get a perspective of somebody who has played the game. Is she mad at Sage? Is she mad at Jake and Sophie if she believes these accusations to be true?

One, she’s very funny and she basically puts together skits and reenactments of all the reality shows that we love to watch. Survivor, traitors Big Brother. She’s really good. But I talked to Kelly about this and we talked briefly about 50, and it seems like. When the trailer aired, there were a lot of fans, including alumni who were like, what are we doing with this Mr. Beast Challenge? Or the Jimmy Fallon Immunity Idol, or whatever the hell that they were teasing in there. Jeff Probes, as I assumed he would, came out and said, look, we’re not changing the fabric of the game.
You’ll just have to wait and see. So I didn’t get too bent outta shape about it. I was like. This seems silly, but I will wait and see exactly how it plays out. So, Jeff basically said this is something to where it doesn’t change the fabric of the game. Jimmy Fallon isn’t showing up in Fiji and being part of a challenge or anything like that.

Have you seen this theory that’s been floating around? I’ll read it to you. I got this off. Social media, and somebody wrote this, they said, I’m convinced that Mama Kelsey was never clear to participate in the majority of the challenges because of the physical demands, which basically removes her from gameplay in the chariot challenge.
She was literally nowhere to be found. She can’t contribute to the prize pot or fight for a shield. The challenges are essential for the players to collect data evidence of each other, which seemingly gives her an advantage either. The rest of the castmates found it unfair for her to be on equal playing field and collectively agreed to banish her or production.
Always planned to orchestrate her departure after episode three, which could explain how they held an unexpected banishment before the challenge three or before challenge three. It is interesting. I didn’t really under, I didn’t really notice this, but in that particular social media post, they were showing clips from the chariot challenge and unless every single clip that they showed of that challenge just happened to not have Donna hel in it, she didn’t participate.
Which then makes you think, why didn’t she participate? Was it in her contract not to participate or. On that particular day, was she sick or something? Because it did seem weird that they just said after the second murder we’re going right into a round table. And that was the round table where everybody but two people voted for Donna Kelsey.
And as I said, Friday and Nana, I said the other day, I don’t understand why everybody went after Donna Kelsey because she was quiet. I don’t know how much stock there is in this theory. Yeah, but it makes sense to me if she’s not participating in challenges, maybe the people out there are like, Hey, we gotta get her out, because it seems like she’s got some sort of unfair advantage, some contractual advantage that she was able to negotiate before she came out here.
Why wasn’t she in the chariot challenge? And if she wasn’t, why? And it was all on the up and up, why weren’t we told as an audience or why weren’t the cast told? And if they were told off air, why wasn’t it shown to us? Just seems very, very bizarre. I didn’t understand like you’re gonna bring a name in like Donna Kelsey.
You heard so many people talk about the fact that, oh my gosh, nobody’s gonna want to vote against her. They can have all the swifties against her. Then she’s gone as quickly as she was on a vote that was like 17 to two. It’s like something isn’t right now. I don’t know if any of these contestants are gonna be allowed to speak on it, because this isn’t something that was shown on tv, but I haven’t heard anybody talk about Donna Kelsey’s exit and their reasoning for why they went after her.
Now, granted, I haven’t seen every interview, but I’m curious because she seemed pretty unassuming. Maybe that. Maybe that’s why they went after. I’m not sure. But that was an interesting theory. I did not know that she didn’t participate in the chariot challenge until I went back and watched those clips and I’m like, my gosh, I just watched 20 seconds.
You can’t find one clip of her participating in it. So it’s like, where, where is she? Why wasn’t she competing? It’s an unfair advantage. So maybe that’s why they went after her. I don’t know.
