You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality Sea podcast. I’m your host reality. Steve, thank you all for tuning in. Good Wednesday show for you. Got a lot of little things to go over. The Patreon coming this Friday. Also before that, you’ve got your Traders Recap coming this Friday.
A little bit more about what I talked about yesterday in regards to the Nick and Natalie interview. Bachelor Happy Hour has new hosts. Mel Owens has something to do with this weekend’s game between the Rams and the Bears. I’ll tell you what, Jack Bauer did something bad. To an Uber driver and something that came up the other day about addresses and gonna relate it to me.
I’ll explain what that means in a little bit. So let’s get started. Friday, I’m gonna do the recap on my YouTube channel. That’s for free. Traders episodes four and five. They come out tomorrow night, 9:00 PM Eastern. I’ll watch them tomorrow night, and then I will talk about it live on my YouTube channel Friday at 3:00 PM Eastern Time, then five hours later at 8:00 PM Eastern time on Friday night.
After I get off the traders recap, have some dinner. Get right back on it for the Patreon subscribers patreon.com/reality. Steve. It is a finally getting around to doing the Grease two rewatch, the live rewatch of Grease two this Friday night, 8:00 PM Eastern Time on my Patreon channel.
patreon.com/reality. Steve, it’s $5 a month and it is $48 for the year, 12 months For the price of 10, we’re supposed to do grease two. A couple weeks ago, but I screwed up ’cause I forgot to download it. It is downloaded, it’s ready to go and it’s probably gonna be, of all the live rees we’ve done, this is the one I’m looking forward to the most just because it is so campy.
It is so corny. It is so cheesy. Yet it is so great. I cannot wait for Friday night. Hope you can join now yesterday. I spoke about the Nick and Natalie interview with Austin Kroll. I’m not familiar with Austin Kroll because I don’t watch Southern Charm, but I’m well aware of what Natalie said and why it came across as insensitive.
And as far as I know here we are six days removed from that podcast coming out. As far as I know, Nick and Natalie have not posted anything on their social media. They have not addressed it on their podcast yet. Tons and tons of content creators are calling them out. There are even people in the southern charm world that are commenting under Instagram posts or TikTok posts saying Austin deserves an apology from them.
So again, I wanna make it really clear at this point. Maybe Austin. I mean, I’m not the one that’s asking for an apology and determining whether or not I accept it. Other people are saying they should apologize to Austin and maybe he’ll accept their apology. I’m just saying it’s been six days and they’re very well aware of what everybody has been saying about that interview, and if they have not addressed it anywhere in six days.
Any addressing and any apologizing at this point to me is irrelevant, falls on deaf ears, and it isn’t sincere whatsoever. How can it be? Why would it take anybody six days to apologize to anybody in regards to something you said on a podcast, which was clearly insensitive? Not to mention. Lack of respect, lack of research.
Based on the clip that I saw, it didn’t even seem like Natalie was aware that Austen’s sister died when she was nine years old, so I’m not really sure exactly why it would take somebody that long. I mean, it is so simple what she said to Austen. Totally insensitive. Totally not the right time and place, but I’m telling you, I’m honestly more bothered by the fact that these two cannot bring themselves to admit they may have made a mistake on their podcast and just apologize for something that they said.
Hey guys, appreciate all the support to the AL files. Thank you guys for listening. The other day when we had Austin on, we said something that we feel like we shouldn’t have said. Shouldn’t have brought up in that moment. Should have known better. We apologize and we plan to do better in the future. Just something basic shit, even if you don’t even believe it yourself.
This many people calling you out, you would think somebody with any heart whatsoever, any empathy would apologize for that. It just is amazing. But again, this is Nick and Natalie and every time they do put their foot in their mouth and I pointed out and other people pointed out, I’m not the only content creator that points out when Nick and Natalie screw up plenty of other people.
Do. I think people, when I start saying it, think it comes from a place of jealousy or whatever, it’s just, it’s just not the case. It’s not the case at all. How many times have I admitted Nick has got a very popular podcast. I don’t listen to it and he doesn’t listen to mine, but I’ve seen enough clips, his clips show up on my for you page a lot, and if it is something that I want to talk about, I absolutely have to go listen to it.
I’m not just gonna say a bunch of stuff without listening to a clip am just, again, I, for something like this, it’s, it just is really bothersome. They can’t put out an Instagram post or they can’t address it on their podcast, and I just hope everyone understands why they don’t, because they feel that anytime a content creator brings up something about them, those content creators are beneath them and they would be punching down.
And they’re drawing attention. They can’t seem to separate criticism from hate. They think, oh, it’s just people hating on us. People don’t like us, so they’re gonna talk shit about us. We don’t need to address those people. No, this is straight criticism and you’re in the wrong here. I haven’t seen one person, one content creator that came out and said, absolutely, Natalie was justified.
For bringing that up 10 minutes into the interview and bringing it up how she did. Not one person if, if I’ve missed one, please send it my way. I’d like to see the clip of a content creator saying, Natalie did nothing wrong. I just haven’t seen one yet. So it’s just so simple. I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve taken stuff back on this podcast or apologized for something I said, or just a correction about something even.
Remotely insignificant, where I might have gotten a small fact wrong about a reality show, and I’m like, my bad screwed that one up. Here’s what happened. I, I, I just cannot believe, and this is something way more serious than anything I’ve ever had to apologize for. They brought up his dead sister from nine years old.
What again, the hypocrisy from him. Her is just laughable. This podcast brought to you by zocdoc Life can feel like a big puzzle.
