Podcasting News in the Bachelor world. I don’t know how many years. Joe and Serena have been hosting the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. I know when the Bachelor Happy Hour Podcast first started, they’ve gone through probably, I don’t know, three, four different hosts on that show, but Joe and Serena seem to have been doing, if I had to guess at least three or four years, maybe, maybe two or three years, whatever the case may be.
They announced that they are out. I don’t know if they were told that they were no longer hosting the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, or they decided to move on to focus on something else. I have no idea. I can honestly say I never listened to one episode of Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. I would talk about it when they.
Had something on that was relevant and I would bring up quotes from that podcast. But to sit there and listen, you know, I just don’t listen to bachelor related podcasts unless I have to, to use as sound bites for this particular podcast. But they are being replaced by Rachel Rekia and Charity Lawson, which again, I have no problem with either of them.
I wish them well in that space, you know? The things that I have heard from Bachelor Happy Hour podcast when it came to Joe and Serena was Joe just mailed it in seemingly every week and did not do a lot of research. I, it doesn’t surprise me, and I have a feeling, Rachel and Charity, because they are friends.
I think that podcast will go well, but podcasting isn’t easy. You know, any, I, I say this all the time and you’ve heard me say this for years. Anybody can do a podcast. If you have a microphone and a way to upload it. Once you get all that stuff taken care of, the technical side of it, anybody can turn on a mic and talk into it and upload it and say, I did a podcast, but not everybody can do a good podcast.
There’s a difference. So I really wish Rachel and Charity the best of luck. I know they’re well liked in the franchise, so that’ll be good. That’s a good start that people seemingly like them and. You know, obviously if they’re under the Bachelor umbrella, it’ll be really interesting as both of them are former leads of this show, how they handle any sort of issues regarding stuff that happens on the show, whether it’s a controversial contestant or a controversial lead that they’re gonna have in about two months with.
Taylor, Frankie Paul. I’m just curious to see how they handle it. Maybe I’ll tune into the first couple episodes, but it’s just not gonna be something that I listen to weekly. Not because it’s them, just because it’s bachelor related and I just don’t have the time to listen to bachelor related podcasts daily, you know, especially when I’m going through an absolute lost rewatch.
Right now I’m already in the middle of season two. I’m kind of zipping through this thing and. It’s awesome. It really is. It’s such great storytelling and I think I just liked what’s happening with Lost right now and rewatching it again, knowing what, where we’re headed for this, but also just because of what I said when I first mentioned it, you just don’t get a show that’s gonna have this many episodes and it’s gonna be given this much time to deliver plot lines.
It just is ne, it would never happen nowadays. No show is getting 24 episodes. To tell their story and you know, season one of loss is 25 episodes. Season two is 24. Season three is 23. After that, they were all 18 or less. Still a lot of episodes, but just rewatching it. Now, I, I. The writing was so good, the suspense was so good, and yes, I understand.
People got frustrated at the time because they wanted answers immediately, and this show really would give you bits and pieces. They would give you answers to certain things, but the second they gave you answers to one thing, they were giving you five more questions about other things. So that’s why the show was so good.
I don’t know, in 2025 with people’s attention spans about, you know. The length of a flies attention span that people would ever give a show like that. The time it needs to marinate and the time it needs to tell its full story. I don’t know if it would work in 2025 to be honest with you, but going back and watching it now, it’s, it’s been awesome now.
Now, if you know me, talked about television shows, I’ve said lost is in my top three of all time. My number one show of all time, if you’ve listened to me long enough is 24, and that show was the lead of that show was Keefer Sutherland who played Agent Jack Bauer. Well, Keefer got himself into a little bit of trouble couple days ago, Monday night as officers responded to a radio call about an assault involving a rideshare driver near Sunset Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue.
At 1215 in the morning, the LAPD responded to a radio call regarding an assault involving a rideshare driver. The investigation determined that the suspect later identified as key for Sutherland, entered a rideshare vehicle, physically assaulted the driver who’s the victim, and made criminal threats towards the victim.
They arrested him at the scene for criminal threats in violation of California, California penal code section 4 22. The victim didn’t have any injuries and. That required medical treatment at the scene. So obviously this is the early going of this story. We have no idea what happened. Obviously more will probably come out, but knowing that the guy isn’t hurt and didn’t require any medical attention, maybe Keefer who has been known to drink a lot, maybe he got in the car, probably good that he got in the car if he was drinking, as opposed to getting behind the wheel.
And was probably a belligerent drunk, and people that know Keefer know that he is notorious for doing some crazy shit when he’s been drunk, including that one clip, if you want to Google it. Keefer Sutherland Christmas tree. He was in a hotel lobby completely smashed years ago, probably 15 years ago, and then just decided to run and tackle a Christmas tree in a hotel lobby.
And you’re just like, wow. He’s. Sch Mamed right now, and he just went and tackled a Christmas tree for no reason. At least this driver as of right now, and as of this report is not hurt. That’s a good thing. But can I say, I was shocked when I heard that Keith for Sutherland got into an altercation with basically an Uber or a Lyft driver.
I, I, I can’t say that I am. Just be thankful whoever this Uber driver was that he didn’t go Jack Bauer on your ass and torture you with a wet rag or something. Don’t forget, this podcast is brought to you by Ollie, my dog, Luca best roommate I’ve ever had. I’ve wanted her to give the same fresh start slowdown energy I’m giving myself to start out.

Do you know a, a little sports talk here, but this Sunday night, the last game, this upcoming weekend in the divisional playoffs of the NFL has the Rams playing the Bears.
Now the Rams have not played the bears in the playoffs in 40 years. Last time they played them in the playoffs was the 1985 NFC Championship game, and the Bears smoked them 24. Nothing. What’s interesting is this has a Bachelor Nation tie to it. You know who was on that Rams team in 1985? Mel Owens and Mel played in that game, but the Rams did not do well and they lost 24 nothing.
Are the Rams gonna lose 24? Nothing this Sunday to the Bears? No, they’re not. They’re probably going to win. Although it is tricky because the Bears are this year’s Cardiac kids. Seven times this year. I’m bringing some smarts over from my Sports Daily podcast seven times this year. The Chicago Bears have been trailing a football game with under two minutes to go and ended up winning.
That’s kind of unheard of. That is not normal. It’s Go Luck’s gonna run out on them at some point. And maybe it’ll be this weekend, maybe it won’t. But the colder it gets in Chicago certainly benefits the Bears. Not saying that Matthew Stafford can’t win a game in the cold, but you got a team from California having to play in Chicago, and I think with the windchill factor, I’m reading, it’s supposed to be like five degrees Sunday night.
We’ll see. It’s not that football players haven’t played in cold before. But if you are a dome team that now has to play a night game in five degree weather, yeah, that can affect some things. We’ll see what happens. The Rams have a better team than the Bears. The Rams should win, but it doesn’t mean they’re going to win.
Keep that in mind. Something came up. I wanna end with this. Something came up where I was talking about addresses with somebody, and maybe I had to give somebody my address. And I realized, I’m guessing a lot of us remember like, do you remember your address in the house that you grew up in? I mean, I know the number and the street name, and I think most people probably do.
Right? I remember my phone number in the house they grew up in, and then when they gave my sister her own phone line, I remember her number, but it got me to thinking. Of all the places I have lived, apartments and houses, do I remember my addresses for those? And I’ll be honest,
I have not lived in a ton of places. I’m not talking about cities or states. I’m just talking about dwellings. Now if you ask me, you know what my address was in college, no, I don’t know that I’m talking about ever since I graduated college, the places that I’ve lived, do I remember the address and I remember the address for every place I’ve lived in.
Some of them, I forget the number, but I know the street name of every street I’ve ever lived on. Is that weird or do most people know that?
And honestly, I haven’t lived in a ton. Maybe that’s why I know them, because I just haven’t lived in a ton. Right. When I graduated my first place out of college, my God, I’ll never forget that place on Overland Avenue off Santa Monica Boulevard in West Los Angeles, I think it was 1953 Overland. I think that was the address.
You can go look it up. I don’t care. It was a studio apartment. It was $550 a month, so this would’ve been 1990, may of 1997, and it was a shit hole, and I had no furniture. I had one piece of furniture in that whole apartment, and it was an end table that I put my TV up on. Steve, you didn’t have a bed? No, I didn’t.
I had a futon, but without the frame. I just had a cushion on the floor. Well, didn’t you have any dressers or drawers to put your clothes in? No, they were all in my gym bags. That’s how bad it was. And I was living on that floor. I can’t remember how many years I lived. I lived there over a year. I know that.
And then I moved to Westchester. Remember what my street name was there. I lived off la. I lived off Lati. Herra. Trying to remember, oh, now I’m kind of forgetting the street name. I know I live, I could, I could drive there. If I was in Los Angeles right now, I could drive to that. I lived in a duplex. I could drive to that duplex right now, but I’m actually forgetting the street name of that one.
I just know it was off Manchester and it was off Manchester Boulevard. And then you would. Turn on Lati and then make your first left. But so I lived there and then I moved to the last place I lived in, in LA before moving to Texas. And I remember that address easily ’cause I was there from
2001 to 2006. And then I’ve only lived in three places in the 19 years I’ve lived in Texas, and I remember all those addresses. So yeah, since I graduated college, let’s see, I’ve been in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. That’s not a lot, I don’t think. Is it Graduated college in 1997.
It’s been 29 years and I’ve lived in six different e, either six different apartments or houses in 29 years. I don’t think that’s a lot. Mm. I guess that’s why I remember the addresses, but God, that place on Overland what a what A bachelor dump. That was 550 bucks for a studio. It was just a living area and then all together, kitchen, closet, bathroom, I could practically be in the shower and reach and be maybe a foot or two from my sink in the kitchen.
Yeah, that was, so yeah, I moved from there and then I moved over to West, and then I moved to Westchester. And then from Westchester I moved to Culver City. So yeah, those are the three places I lived in after college, before I moved to Texas. And in Texas I’ve lived in three places. I lived in an apartment complex and two houses.
Crazy. I can’t believe that. But I remember all the addresses. I just wanted to share that with you. Anyway, thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it. Follow me on Apple Podcast. Also, rate and review, but you gotta hit play. It’s the only way it counts as a down low sports daily coming up an hour for now, if you wanna check that out.
