Daily Roundup 2/25 – More on the Fan Appreciation Party, Colton Underwood Runs His Mouth Again, Survivor 50 Beginning Tonight and a Story You Should be Aware Of, a Back to the Future Scene I Had No Idea About, & Paradise Season 2

You know. The traders finale and reunion show, I believe is Thursday. I know the finale is Thursday, and I believe the reunion show airs right after they’re not giving the reunion show a separate week.

So hopefully after this week, Colton Underwood will just stop talking. He went on Harry J’s podcast and addressed the social media backlash and basically said he’s tired of answering questions about his past, and he’s not happy with the parasocial relationship the fans have with him. Listen to this bullshit that he’s running.

I think we’re in a really interesting place in society right now, like this whole parasocial dynamic. Like I’m sure you get it too, but like people feel like they know me and they have this like right and entitlement to like know every detail of my life because I have been pretty like vocal and, and vulnerable and, and open with sort of my path and my journey.

But like it is getting to a point where it’s a little overwhelming now.

Yeah.

Like they don’t have a full understanding. They’re talking about things in my past that they have no idea really what was going on or what’s true. Like that’s like the thing that you know, I can’t say much about the situation other than the fact that of course I have a ton of regret and I’ve taken accountability in the past.

But like I’m, you know, I’m tired of having to answer questions around it. Like the public, we’ve handled it privately, we moved on and it’s doing nobody this service. Yeah. To keep rehashing things.

Okay. Colton got some major issues with what you said. First off, saying that the fans have no idea what they’re talking about.

Colton, are you not aware that we’ve seen pictures of a tracker on your ex-girlfriend and your ex, your ex-girlfriend’s car? Are you not aware that we’ve seen screenshots of the text messages you sent her from yourself, the text message you sent her from a made up phone number and the text message you sent yourself?

To try and make yourself a victim so Cassie could relate to you, and then all of a sudden jumping into this, oh, I’ve already held myself accountable for this. I basically wish people would just move on. It doesn’t work like that. Look, you’re the lucky son of a bitch that keeps getting offers to go on tv.

Yes, if I’m you, I take them as well. But just know if you’re gonna keep going on TV and you’re gonna keep accepting. Any reality show or whoever game show wants to bring you on, just know fans are gonna have the right to speak their mind about what they thought about how you did Cassie wrong. Okay? It’s that simple.

If you don’t want people complaining about you, and you don’t want all this discourse, this negative discourse surrounding you to get the fuck off tv. Yeah, you didn’t hear anything when you went on the Mass Singer ’cause nobody cared. You heard a little bit when your Netflix show came out. Nobody really understood why Netflix was giving you a six episode show in regards to Right, and it came out right around the time we were all finding out about what you did to Cassie.

Nobody cared about that one show in the woods that you did and then the dating show that you co-hosted with Caitlyn this summer. Again, nobody seemed to care, but you went on The Traders a hugely popular show. They won an Emmy for best competition show two years in a row. So you go on that show, people are complaining about why are we giving this guy a platform?

And then you’re just saying, Hey, I’ve been held accountable. Everyone else just needs to move on. And there’s certain things in there that we can’t talk about. Again, this is my biggest issue with all of this. He’s hiding behind an NDA. We understand that there is some sort of contract out there. You and Cassie signed where you are not allowed to talk about this publicly, and that’s what he’s using as, Hey, I wish I could, but I can’t, and everyone else is gonna talk about this and I’m kind of tired of it.

We need to move on telling other people they need to move on after what your actions did to somebody else. Do you think for a second, if Cassie could talk about this, she would say. Everyone just needs to move on. I’m totally cool with Colton and what he did. I’m over it. I highly doubt that would be the case, Colton.

That’s why I can’t stand the fact that this son of a bitch keeps hanging and hiding behind an NDA. It’s disgusting. And he’s getting mad at us. He’s getting mad at everyone else. Content creators and all the social media discourse this season, bringing his past to light. Why are you getting mad? ’cause you know it’s true.

Saying people have no idea. Colton, all the content creators that are talking about this have literally been posting the picture of the tracker in the car, the screenshots of the text messages you sent to Cassie from yourself and from fake phone numbers. Don’t tell us. We have no idea what we’re talking about.

You are clearly someone that has to stay in the spotlight. But since you weren’t bothered and the Parasocial relationship didn’t really rear its ugly head on any of the other four shows that you did after we had seen the evidence, now you’re coming out with this. Now you’re on a popular show. Your past gets brought up and you’re all butt hurt over this.

Leave me alone. Move on everybody. Nah, we’ll keep bringing it up. You don’t want anyone to talk about you anymore, Colton, get the hell off our TVs. Simple as that. The nerve of this guy, and it just eats me alive that this guy can just sit here and be like, yeah, well, there’s certain things I, I just can’t talk about it.

Sorry. But then tell all of us, we don’t know what we’re talking about. How about going into details? What do you mean we don’t know what we’re talking about? What are you saying? We don’t know what we have, what we’re talking about that we have no idea about? You need to be more specific, Colton. If you’re gonna call people out, tell them what you’re calling them out for.

Are you saying that those text messages didn’t come from you? Are you saying you didn’t place a tracker in Cassie’s car? What exactly do we have, quote, no idea about? Because every time someone is bringing you up, they’re bringing up the same exact things. The text messages that we’ve clearly seen that were in the restraining order, the picture of the tracker on her car.

It’s so easy for this guy to hide behind this NDA and then just say, yeah, people have no idea what they’re talking about in my past. Then what are you specifically talking about that we have no idea about? Please enlighten me. I don’t know. Who’s more of a dumb ass? Laura Owens or Colton Underwood.

Survivor. Season 50 begins tonight, and like I said, I’m a little worried because it’s gotten so much hype. It’s like, can it possibly live up to this? Clearly everybody that’s on the show and everybody that has been on Survivor in the past is saying yes, there was. Premier screening on Monday night, and people are, you know, not giving away spoilers, but there’s people that did see it are saying it is really good.

The premier tonight, the three hour premier tonight, I’m looking forward to it. I do wanna point out something and numerous people are, are, are aware of this former contestant, Eliza Orland has gone on the offensive against CBS. And Stephanie Osa for Stephanie Osa getting back from season 50 filming and seemingly in a drunken escapade, attacked Eliza and made an anti-Semitic remark.

A couple of them actually. So Eliza has come out and said, not supporting the show anymore. While I love Survivor, I loved playing it twice. They’re never gonna put me on anymore and I don’t care. They need to be held accountable and she’s very disappointed that the show hasn’t really done anything to Stephanie.

I suggest just go listening to Eliza’s. Go to her Instagram page and check it out. The clip is out there somewhere. ’cause Stephanie went on, I think it was an Instagram live. It might have been a TikTok Live or something, or an Instagram story. But she was clearly inebriated. She has apologized, but I didn’t think it was a great apology at all.

She still attacked Eliza in her apology, but you can go make the decision for yourself. You can Google Stephanie LaRoza antisemitic, Stephanie LaRoza survivor, Eliza Orland, any combination of those words. I’m sure you can find the video. But it has not put Stephanie in a great light, and Eliza has every reason to call her out for it.

You can, like Eliza, you can not like Eliza. This is about what Stephanie did to her and it is disappointing to see that Survivor really is sticking by Stephanie in this and hasn’t held her to any sort of standard on this now. It’s not like they couldn’t have cast her because this all happened after she got back from filming.

But CBS doesn’t seem to be doing anything about it Post hasn’t even addressed it, you know, just kind of sweeping everything under the rug and it’s just, it’s very, very disappointing to say the least. But if you don’t know the story, I would Google it or go to Eliza Orland on her Instagram and go down the rabbit hole to see.

What Stephanie said and how bad it was. Trigger warning, it wasn’t good. This podcast is also brought to you by Tonal going to the gym. You know, life gets busy. I do have a back to the future story to get to. Is there something about this movie apparently that I didn’t know? Yeah, there is, and it’s going around and I did not know anything about this. You’ve seen me on my podcast with my I’m Your Density shirt. Probably worn it four or five times on different podcasts since I started doing videos, and that’s an infamous scene where George confronts Lorraine in the malt shop in the diner.

He says to her, at least, I thought, he said to her, Lorraine, my density has brought me to you and then ends it with I’m your density, I mean your destiny. Well, apparently it’s been going around and this is a thing that he doesn’t say, my density has brought me to you. They’re saying because of his nerves.

Clearly he was nervous ’cause he was just a nervous wreck. That whole movie. Before he kissed Lorraine, he said to her, my density has popped me to you. So I Google, did George McFly say popped or brought on that infamous line? And then it says In Back to the future, George McFly says, popped telling Lorraine my density has popped me to you.

While he intended to say, brought his nervous, garbled delivery, caused him to say popped, which is often confirmed by fan analysis, the script and subtitles. I’ve never watched Back to the future with subtitles. I had no idea this was a thing. I had no idea Most people knew. He said, popped and not broad.

I’m so disappointed. I don’t like the fact that he said popped. I know that he’s nervous. I just want his one screw up to continuing to say density instead of destiny. To me, that’s all I need. I don’t him saying popped instead of brought. Okay, look, we already know he is nervous. I’m so disappointed in this.

I hate that. And I had no idea this was a thing. Apparently it is Boo. And finally I brought it up yesterday at the beginning of the show and then I forgot to talk about it and I said, my favorite show is Back on tv, and that is Paradise On Hulu, season one aired last year, only had eight episodes. Season two dropped on Monday, the first three episodes.

Now, I will say this for those that maybe don’t remember, I told you this last year. The creator of the show is Dan Fogelman, who created This Is Us and you can tell. A lot of the same way. He tells a story same way he did in this as us. He does in paradise, tons of flashbacks. That’s how you get to know where these characters came from and their motivations and stuff like that.

However, Dan Fogelman has said when it comes to paradise, when I pitched this show, I had three seasons in mind and the first season was going to be drastically different from the second season. And I’d say through three episodes. Yeah, it is. I mean, let’s be honest, those first two episodes of season two, if you haven’t watched them, by the way, if you haven’t watched it, you don’t wanna hear me review it, I would just end the podcast now.

But those first two episodes are definitely different than season one because they’re focusing on what’s going on outside the bubble. The first episode is all about a bunch of characters that are all being introduced this season. Shalene Woodley, like she wasn’t on last season. We found out her whole story.

And then episode two is all about how Xavier met his wife, and that is the backstory. And then in real time, we’re seeing Xavier outside of the bubble. ’cause remember, season one ended with him flying outside the bubble in Colorado and we find out where he landed just outside of Arkansas. And he’s surrounded by a bunch of kids that we’ve never seen before.

But the creator said this, he said Season two is going to be different than season one. Season three was much more like season one ’cause it was all about what was going on in the bubble, and that’s what we were used to in season one. All the episodes were about this bubble that was created in Colorado.

I just think the writing and the way the story is told is so good on the show. Definitely has mysteries. Sinatra is a great, great villain. Jane, her assistant is just as evil. Now we know that Sinatra has Jane as her personal hitman. They’ve killed the current president. Now we’ve got two dead presidents who’s gonna take over now.

Like even though Sinatra got shot last season by Jane, they’re literally in cahoots with each other. So I’m curious to see where this goes. And basically the next five Mondays. All the five Mondays in March will be episodes 3, 4, 5, or 4, 5, 6, 7, and eight. So this show will be done by the end of March. So one month, every Monday for the next five Mondays, we get Paradise and just know, yeah, it’s gonna be different.

We’ve got new characters. There’s gonna be a lot of footage of what’s going on outside of Colorado Incorporated with what’s going on inside. But yeah, those first two episodes were definitely different than what I expected. Hell, Xavier wasn’t even in the first episode until the very end when Shalene Woodley’s character finds him outside of his airplane that crashed, and then he basically broke his kneecap and it got dislocated.

But I have a feeling we’re gonna get so many more mysteries. We’re gonna find out so many more things. But he basically said, when I pitched this, it’s three parts. The first part was season one, season two was gonna be different, and they, and then he said, season three is even more different than season two, so just be patient.

If you thought, oh man, those first two episodes, I was like, what’s going on? This isn’t what I’m used to. Just know the creator has a vision and he knew exactly what he was doing and what he wanted to do with the three seasons he pitched of Paradise. Anyway, thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it.

Follow me on Apple Podcasts. Also rate and review, but you got hit play. It’s the only way it counts is the Download Sports Daily coming up in an hour from now. Again, thank you all for listening, everybody. I really appreciate it and I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
