Daily Roundup 3/11 – Huge Reality TV Day, my SLOMW Thoughts from the Premiere Episode, the Dak Story Takes a Turn, & Listeners Correct me on Dirty Dancing

You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality. Steve Podcast, I’m your host reality. Steve, thank you all for tuning in on this Wednesday, a huge day of television. Today, we’ll go over it again. I didn’t even give you my Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Premier episode. Thoughts Yesterday, I got sidetracked into just talking about Taylor, Frankie Paul, and this upcoming season of The Bachelorette.

I didn’t even tell you what I thought about episode one, season one of Secret Lives of Mormon wives. Remember how I told you about that Dak Prescott story yesterday? Yeah. We’ve got an update and it was pretty much exactly what I expected it was, and. One thing my listenership will hold me to is a mistake, and I made a mistake yesterday in the podcast and we’ll go over that.

So let’s get started. Huge day of TV today. I didn’t know this in terms of how many episodes were being released. Of Nick and Natalie’s age of attraction dating show where people in their twenties date, people in their fifties and whatnot. Apparently, we’re getting five episodes today, next week, two episodes, and then the following week, just the finale.

It’s an eight episode season, but we’re getting five episodes today. I’ll get through probably two, maybe three. It all depends because I’ve got so much later on. It all depends on what can I can get to later on in the day. ’cause I still have to record this week’s tomorrow’s weekly podcast, which I’m recording in the afternoon.

So we’ll see how many I can get through. I would think at least two, possibly three, but we’ll get around to talking about age of attraction once I’m finished with the first five episodes and then tonight. We’ve got Survivor episode three and we’ve got the Love Is Blind Reunion, which doesn’t come out until 9:00 PM Eastern Time.

So I’ll watch Survivor finish it at eight 30 Central time and then I’ll be a half hour into Love Is Blind Reunion, so I’ll be a little bit behind, but I think I remember doing that last year. And then tomorrow I’ll have my Love is Blind Recap on my YouTube channel. Yeah. But yeah, there’s a lot to get to today for sure, because how could there not be?

And then tomorrow, secret Lives of Mormon wives, season four comes out, which I will be watching. I know they dump all their episodes tomorrow outside of the reunion show, so that one will just have to be, like I said, I’m gonna re recapping it. On my Patreon channel, patreon.com/reality, Steve, I’ll occasionally have guests on probably bring Chad and Lizzie on because they know the show more than I do because I’ve only watched one episode, and that was what I watched the other day, which was the Secret Lives of Mormon Wise season one, episode one, because obviously that was the start of it all.

I knew the basics around these people, but I didn’t know everything. You know, obviously I know way more about Taylor, Frankie Paul and Whitney Levitt, just because they were on other shows that I did watch, or obviously Taylor. Frankie Paul is gonna be The Bachelorette, and Whitney Levitt was on Dancing With the Stars, and I kind of know what her career has turned into, but I don’t know who any of these other people are, and I’m forgetting their names.

A bunch of M’s. Miranda, McKayla, Macy, can we get people with different first letters of their first names? ’cause this is really confusing to me. Here are though, some of my thoughts from season one, episode one of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Number one, it really bothered me that there were so many hair style changes and colors in all the women.

I didn’t know who was who outside of Taylor, Frankie, Paul, and Whitney. I was getting confused on who was who. Because it felt like they all had different hairstyles and different colors from when they were filming to when they were shooting some of their ITMs. Hell, I know for a fact Whitney Levitt had three completely different hair styles on that show.

When it started. She was long and blonde, and then she went short and red or shorter and red, or maybe it was shorter and blonde, and then she went short red. And then I know her from. The Dancing with the Stars, and she was a redhead, so that just got a little confusing and I just was like, okay, who’s what?

Who here? Couple other things about it. I didn’t know that Dakota was a recovering addict. I did not know that because all I know is about, about Dakota is the stuff that I read in the headlines. Things that I see on his Instagram page. For whatever reason, I was just under the assumption that Dakota was a partier.

Him and Taylor have a toxic relationship, always have had that, which I think is, is true and that he is just a guy that I, I, I don’t know what he does personally, but I just assumed he was a guy that drank and or did drugs. I dunno why I assumed that. I think I just did. I did not know he was a recovering addict.

So seeing that in the first episode, I’m like, oh wait, so this guy never drinks and never does drugs Ever since that first episode. I guess we don’t know. Or maybe we do, maybe you guys do. And he has admitted he’s relapsed at times. I have no idea. But I had no idea about his, his past. I did not know he was a recovering addict and hard drug addict.

Not like he was just a recovering alcoholic or something like that. Not that that’s much easier. I’m just saying I, I had no idea. I have heard a lot of things about Taylor, Frankie, Paul’s mom, just ever since she’s been named the Bachelorette. People are saying like, oh my gosh, wait till home, wait till the guys meet her mother.

She’s a piece of work. And I was like, well, I’ve only seen one episode. Clearly, but it seemed like she was laying down the law with Taylor and saying, you make a lot of bad decisions. You should not be dating this guy so soon after your divorce. And I don’t like this guy. Seemed like she had clocked Dakota pretty well.

But again, these are just my thoughts on the first episode. The thing is, like I said yesterday, I don’t think with all these shows going on right now and having to watch season four when it comes out tomorrow. I don’t think I’m gonna get around to watching three Seasons of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

I think I’ll just pick up, watch season four on my Patreon with you guys, and then I’ll just determine after that, maybe sometime this summer, maybe I’ll get around to going back and watching the first three seasons of Secret Lives. I don’t know, I haven’t decided yet, but. For all the bad things I’ve heard about her mother, and I’m not saying her mother’s good or bad, I just don’t know enough about her.

But in one episode, she seemed rather reasonable and was just telling her daughter, you make a lot of dumb decisions, which seemingly she did because I guess her divorce, I don’t know the timeline of when her divorce was finalized to when she was taking a pregnancy test in that first episode to see if Dakota had knocked her up.

But. It didn’t seem like it was a long time and the mother was just saying, come on Taylor, be smarter. Now, I’m sure some of you who have watched all the episodes since then are like, oh boy, Steve, you have no idea what you’re in for with this woman. Yeah, maybe I don’t. I’m just saying what I saw in the first episode.

She seemed to clock Dakota right from the get go and everything that I’ve heard about Dakota and read about Dakota and that people have sent me about Dakota ever since Taylor was named The Bachelorette saying, there’s no way she’s over him. They have a toxic relationship. For some reason, these two can never get rid of each other.

I mean, I’ve heard it all. I’ve heard it all since filming ended as well. So, let’s just say, I know there’s a lot there with Dakota and I don’t think I really need to read much more in terms of what he did in the first three seasons. All I care about is, well, what’s going on now, you know, what is happening around the time of filming and all this stuff.
