Podcast #45 – Interview with Kenny King (Part 2) & Episode #4 of the “He Said, She Said” Podcast with Sharleen Joynt

If you listened to Part 1 of the Kenny King interview last week, you know that it was recorded a couple weeks ago. Sometimes differing schedules have me recording certain interviews early. The risk in that, is sometimes something will happen that can’t be addressed. Well if you read yesterday’s spoilers about Tuesday’s group date, you know Kenny showed up on Not Peter’s wrestling group date. I had no idea until I was informed afterwards, and not even by Kenny. I think people have this misconception that because these people are coming on the podcast, I’m now BFF’s with them and they tell me everything. Couldn’t be further from the truth. Most of the time they’re asking me what’s happening with the season. But the way this works, anytime someone says they’re available at a certain time to record, I make sure I’m available. If it means I have to record something a month in advance before it airs, I’ll do it. Usually these interviews are recorded 3-5 days before air. Next week’s interview is being recorded this weekend – and it’s gonna be a good one. It’d be great to do every interview 1-2 days before it airs, but that’s just not possible because of schedules. Part 2 of Kenny today covers topics like his wrestling career, appearing on BIP, his thoughts on DeMario & Corinne and more. As always, if you want to respond to the interview, please include Kenny’s Twitter handle (@KennyKingPb2) in your responses. Kenny was as great as I expected him to be in this interview. Hope you all enjoy it.

(SPOILERS) Kenny joins me for Part 2 to talk about how he got his start in wrestling, what his schedule is like (5:40), how he would explain wrestling to the average person who has a preconceived notion of it (9:22), did being on the “Bachelorette” help or hinder his career (16:40), why he didn’t appear on BIP & what he thought of the DeMario/Corinne situation (21:46), his impression of Peter while on the show (29:01), Rachel & Bryan as a couple (32:50), and finally end with the Rapid 10 that, well, isn’t so rapid since it goes on for almost 25 minutes (36:04).

Episode 4 of the “He Said, She Said” monthly podcast with Sharleen Joynt is up right now at Stitcher Premium. Click on that link, use the Promo Code: STEVE, and you can get the first month free. After that, it’s $4.99/month or $29.99 if you sign up for a year, which gives you access to all of Stitcher’s podcast library. It’s a monthly podcast that Sharleen and I are doing to talk about all things relationship/marriage/dating/sex based. In this month’s podcast, we discuss Sharleen’s recent wedding, give you an update on last episode’s two callers (7:45), people who don’t listen to advice (12:15), Arie as the Bachelor (20:44), and then Jenny from California calls in to talk about her current man, who’s still living with his baby mama and won’t commit.

And finally, in case you missed it yesterday, a lot of stuff happening on social media with DLo doing a Reddit interview which caused a firestorm, Rachel chiming in and basically confirming everything DLo said getting into more specifics of what happened with her and Vanessa on Nick’s season, then Reddit having to pull the interview down as it apparently violated a few terms in DLo’s contract so it was asked to be removed. I’ll give my thoughts tomorrow on this. I’m flabbergasted by some of the responses to this on Twitter. Can’t remember a night where I had to mute as many people as I did last night. Wow. The ignorance of people can be mind boggling at times. Tomorrow I’m expecting a fairly big “Bachelor”-centric column, including telling you where they’re headed for episode #4. It was a place I heard before the season that I hadn’t gotten confirmed on, but got 100% confirmation yesterday. Today’s group date is at the Grove in LA and I’m guessing there will be tons of pictures I’ll be getting and also retweeting. There were no pictures publicly of yesterday’s 1-on-1 date that I’ve come across. However, knowing who the 8 girls were on Tuesday’s date, and then later today being able to see who are going to be the 6 girls (probably) on the date, process of elimination will give me a good idea as to who got yesterday’s 1-on-1. Not sure what they’re doing yet today, but we’ll know soon enough. So follow me on Twitter (@RealitySteve) if you want to be spoiled in real time today.

Wow pretty sure Rachel and D-Lo showed that they ARE bullies by releasing these “statements”. “Vanessa called me a derogatory name” ya OK, you KNOW where peoples minds are going to go. Nice try ladies, get a life.

I fell for the clickbait. OMG she called her a bully. WTF how f-ing sensitive can someone be. Those headlines were more overhyped than bachelor coming attractions and most controversial season ever crap.

Is it weird that the last season I watched was Jojo’s but I keep coming to Reality Steve to read his recaps instead of actually watching? Hahaha love you Steve!
