Episode 8: Hometown Dates

Jason Tartick 29, Seattle, WA (Filming was Wednesday, April 18th in Buffalo, NY where he’s originally from) They sat in the stands, skated, and kissed at Harborcenter, then had a wing eating contest at Anchor Bar, before meeting his parents at their “house.” Jason’s parents live in Charlotte and Jason lives in Seattle now, so the house they used for this hometown was some local guy who had zero ties to the family. It happens. The house that was used was a house suggested to them by a friend of producer Bennett Graebner, who is a Buffalo native.

Blake Horstmann 28, Denver, CO. Filmed Friday April 20th in Bailey, CO. Another date where production made the audience wait around forever. They checked in at noon and Becca and Blake didn’t show up until close to 6:00 for the surprise of Betty Who performing, which Becca had no idea about.

Colton Underwood 26, Los Angeles, CA. Filmed Sunday April 22nd in Aurora, CO. Colton and his family grew up in Indianapolis and he went to college in Illinois, but his parents (now divorced) both live in Colorado so that’s where his hometown date was. Went to the Stanley Marketplace in Aurora, CO.

Garrett Yrigoyen 29, Reno, NV. Filmed April 24th in Manteca, CA. Garrett’s parents live in Manteca and it’s where he grew up, even though he lives in Reno now. They also visited Garrett’s high school and his parents’ farm.

Before this rose ceremony, Tia appeared back on the show to tell Becca she still had feelings for Colton. Not sure how Becca took it, but considering Colton was eliminated at this rose ceremony, I gotta imagine it played some sort of role.

Rose Ceremony Elimination: Colton Underwood.

Episode 9: Overnight dates. Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Only pictures I have from these dates were sent to me last week and it was Becca’s time with Garrett.

Episode 10: Men Tell All (should be airing July 30th, unless they move to a Sunday night or something)

Episode 11: (airing August 6th) Finale in the Maldives (Blake Horstmann vs Garrett Yrigoyen)

I’m sure you all know by now that I had spoiled the final two of Blake vs Garrett, but then TMZ reported on Thursday, May 24th with pictures of the final rose ceremony clearly showing who Becca picked. She said in all the pre-season interviews, and still to this day, that she’s happy and engaged, and as we know:

Becca is engaged to Garrett.

Here are the pics from that day of the final rose ceremony, May 10th in the Maldives.

The talk post-show has centered around Garrett and his liking of questionable Instagram posts, which he issued a public apology on last Thursday night. In case you haven’t seen what he liked, click here. He has since deleted his IG account since Thursday. I’m guessing because of all the hate he was still receiving in the comments. However, here was his apology for those that missed it:

Now that this season is complete and there isn’t anything further to figure out, that turns our attention to the next “Bachelor.” As we know, it’s usually a guy that finishes in the top 4 of his season of the “Bachelorette.” Only Jake and Juan Pablo in the last 10 seasons or so weren’t. But as we know, the last two years they pulled Nick and Arie out of their asses seemingly at the last minute. I think Blake and Jason have the best chances out of this season. I don’t think Colton does because that means he would’ve been on the “Bachelorette,” then appears on “Bachelor in Paradise” right after that, then goes to film the “Bachelor.” That’s a lot of Colton Underwood in our lives for consecutive months, and I just don’t see it. Especially when he clearly had questionable motives going in. Sure most guys do, but they hide it 10 times better than Colton did. Of course, they could still pull something out of their ass again at the last minute. We just don’t know. Plenty of time before “Bachelor” rolls around, since that announcement isn’t made til end of August/early September.
