In your first post about the “secret” visit by Arie to Lauren’s mothers home in Virginia, you blogged that the break up with Becca and the switch to Lauren might be because Lauren is pregnant by Arie? Have you learned through your sources any more on this subject?

I just finished your podcast with Dana where you talk about the most successful person to come out of the Bachelor franchise. I know you don’t like to write about the show pre-Brad W. but doesn’t Jesse Palmer have to top the list of most successful Bachelors? He went from being a back-up QB with no playing time to going on the show and turning that into a big ESPN contract, a contributing spot on GMA, and hosting gigs on The Food Network and DailyMailTV. Plus he’s a total hottie. #justiceforjesse
Comment: Absolutely Jesse is up there, if not at the top of the list. However, there are two reasons I didn’t bring him up: 1) I forgot and 2) My mind just doesn’t think of anyone before Brad Womack when people ask me questions like that because it was such a different show back then. But yes, Travis Stork from the “Doctors” and Jesse Palmer absolutely are two of the most successful leads they’ve ever had, for sure.

Had a thought about the motivation behind arie going to Lauren.
Maybe he told abc he and Becca weren’t gonna make it to after the final rose and abc told him that after they went all in on him the bachelor and wanting to justify their choice they told him he had to go back to Lauren and at least date for a while so it looks better and after the final rose is a happy ending still.
So he’s not dumping Becca for Lauren. He’s dumping Becca because it started going south and wasn’t gonna make ATFR, didn’t pick Lauren because he didn’t want her either, and is pulling this grandiose ‘I made a mistake and should have chosen Lauren’ scenario because of abc nudging him into it to stay in their good graces and he’s gonna dump her in a few months after anyway.
Just my twisted way of thinking!
Comment: But he did dump Becca for Lauren. He and/or the show can spin it any way they’d like, but that’s what happened. He was engaged to Becca in Peru in November and broke it off after 2 months so he could start seeing Lauren. I’m sure he will tell us that he made a mistake, Lauren was always on his mind, and that day was the hardest decision he’s ever made, but…he made it. Even if he was struggling with letting Lauren go, then don’t propose to Becca. But he did. And now he must live with the backlash, which he deserves.

I wasn’t going to watch this season, and honestly my plan was to just read your spoilers until the finally once the drama was all out there. However with that bid spoiler you just realized on Not Peter dumping Becca I thought well SH*T now I have to watch to keep up with this mess.
While I was watching Episode 2 group date I noticed Chris Harrison’s comment on how this would probably be his first win on any track and it had me questioning:
Does Chris even like Arie? Also has there ever been moments when Chris hates a contestant or a bachelor? Hate is a strong word. I doubt he actually hates any of them. But there are ones he’s obviously more buddy with than others. He loves Ben Higgins and Sean Lowe. Probably isn’t nearly as close to Ben Flajnik. And after hearing the podcast I did with Prince Lorenzo, yeah, those two probably aren’t exchanging Xmas cards.
I remember once reading him saying something about someone just don’t remember who.
Also with the whole dilemma do you think maybe Becca now has a chance to be the Bachelorette? As you watch and hear whats happening do you have any clue who will be the Bachelorette? Becca if she wants it. And I haven’t heard anything to suggest otherwise.

Long time reader since the Jason/Melissa/Molly days. Just listened to your podcast with Possessionista, and a few questions — Lauren’s edit has so far been sparse — but wasn’t Catherine Giudici kind of MIA at the beginning of Sean’s season? Yeah, Catherine was MIA for a lot and didn’t get her first 1-on-1 til deep into the season.
And a Melissa Rycroft question — i feel like i remember her very quickly going back to her ex boyfriend (now husband)..did this probably have any effect on her choosing DWTS vs the Bachelorette? Definitely did.
And last question — with the filming timeline, you’ve always said it’s so hard for them to be like “I’m so heartbroken etc etc”, and then be like “yay, I’m the bachelorette!”..wouldn’t this be amplified as the jilted fiancé?

Comment: I’ve said that in the past for the final 2 girl. But once they cast JoJo, that was thrown out the window. And by the time the finale rolls around, Becca will have had 2 months to digest this. Sure she’ll be hurt, but I think enough time will have passed where she can say she’s ready to move on and put it behind her.

I first found your site when I was in 8th grade. I had been googling about the bachelor and Jason Mesnick and came upon this site. I was amazed to find the “spoilers” of the season since it wasn’t near finished. To my surprise, the site wasn’t that popular at the time and I was the coolest 14 year old at lunch when I told friends what was about to happen on the show… Granted no one believed me, but when it all played out I got some major street cred! (Lol). I’m glad I was able to give you street cred in 8th grade.
Anyway, with the updated spoiler for Arie, I feel as though we have come full circle. – yet again you have spoiled a season! I know it hasnt played out yet but I have faith that you and your sources are correct. So… Good job!
Lastly, my question is about the ending. Giving your best prediction, how do you think production will have this play out? Will they add more drama in the finale now that Arie and his “winner” will not be together? Or do you think it’ll be a complete Mesnick and they’ll act like Becca K has no idea? I know you said you’ll have to see how it plays out on AFTR… but what do you predict?
Comment: I predict will see it play out like it would have. They can’t change what they shot in Peru on the final day of filming. He’ll leave Peru engaged to Becca after she rejected her ex proposing to her. Then on the ATFR, we’ll see how it all went down and how he ended it with her and approached Lauren about things.

Comment: They don’t even need to do anything to make him look bad. He did that to himself. Only the people who think he walks on water and make excuses for all of his past behavior are the ones who will excuse him pulling a Mesnick. They’ll say he’s following his heart. They’ll say he did it the right way. They’ll say “Jason and Molly succeeded, why can’t Arie & Lauren.” They can’t admit that he’s fleeced all of them because that would be admitting they were wrong. And Arie nut jobs would never do that. The rest of us, you know the ones living in reality, will realize what he did was pretty sh***y and give him crap for it.

Your announcement last week about Lauren and Ari did not surprise me. As I watched this season unfold, I just couldn’t see Ari with Becca. Last Monday I began noticing Lauren and how they were together esp when he offered her the rose and she just had that spark together. That’s when I thought he should’ve picked her not Becca. (Even though they may or may not last long)
So imagine my surprise (LOL) when your column came out on Tuesday with the news. And yes I hate to admit but I started to believe Ari really wanted to settle down. Again LOL.

Will there ever be another blonde bachelorette???? I can’t predict the future.
Oh and I don’t agree that Tia is Raven 2.0 sure they have a lot similarities but I never saw the draw of Raven. Tia is adorable! I totally see the resemblance. Only thing different is that Tia has more of a potty mouth. At least what we’ve been shown.
and regarding your podcast with Sharleen- I bet the guy ditched her BC his friends gave him sh*t about how successful/ how much more money she will make etc. Just saying guys can be idiots.

I have a group of about 15 friends I watch the Bachelor every week with, I am the only one that reads the spoilers, they all refuse to be spoiled … they really don’t know what they are missing.
Anyway, none of them want to keep watching “not peter’s” season because they are so bored. But I keep telling them they need to trust me and keep watching (especially with this new ending you spoiled). If it wasn’t for you, ABC would be losing at least 14 viewers that I know of.

Okay, so this season has been a complete surprise to me. I seriously thought this season would be bland and boring, because that’s how I’ve always seen Arie even back on Emily’s season.
In fact, it’s the opposite. GREAT tv. Lol. I just wish social media wasn’t as involved now because people would go on and just act themselves knowing they could just go back home and be more invisible, i.e. Tila Tequila type shows and how contestants would act on there. Lol. Awesome tv.
Anyways, my question is, do you think (opinion or what you know to be true, which ever) that Arie chose Becca originally because he knew he didn’t really want to settle down? So he kinda pulled a Prince Lorenzo and picked the one he didn’t want to date so he could just date the runner up in real life? Just based on what you’ve shared with Arie and my personal thoughts of him, I could see him proposing to avoid being treated like Juan Pablo, but just wanted to date someone? Idk, he seriously just blows my mind with his behavior. Lol

To me, everything goes back to the fact this guy absolutely cannot be with one woman. He never wants to be tied down to just one. And even when he is, he’s keeping others around. Thanks for the juicy scoop this season! I meant to ask these questions last week:
1. Sydney and Arie broke up around the same time that his brother got married. Did she go to the wedding with him? If so, how did it go? I loved the ex interviews, btw. She was not invited to the wedding, even though they were still together at that time. Pretty much shows what Arie thought of the relationship.
2. I read that one of Arie’s tattoos has something to do with Les Miserable (It’s the prison number of one of the characters). Do you know why he’d get that? Seems so random and against type.
Comment: Yes. Something like 24601 was the prison number of someone in that? I don’t know, I’ve never seen it. But he says that he “connected with that character.” Whatever.
