A couple of questions/comments:
– There was a notable exclusion from the feature that ran during the premiere showing all of the show’s couples/families today – Sean and Catherine. Any idea why? They also didn’t make mention of a few couples who are still going strong (Rachel/Bryan, Kevin/Astrid to name a few). Any idea why (or perhaps i’m reading too far into it)? No, not really. I’d ask Sean on Twitter. I’m sure he’d answer. He’s pretty open about that stuff. If I had to guess, because they’ve done updates in the past and have been married for 5 years now, maybe they just figure people already know and they’ve done updates on them. Yes, Ashley and JP married roughly the same amount of time, but have we seen videos of their kids before on the show? Well, except when Ashley had an “ultrasound” on the Tell All that one time? I just think people are well aware of Sean and Catherine by now so no need to do yet another update. And it seemed like the update was just focused on the couples with kids, hence no Rachel/Bryan & Kevin/Astrid. Or Raven/Adam for that matter.
-There seem to be a handful of people who are VERY in with the show and are always picked to come back and make some sort of appearance. In your opinion, who would you say are the top 6-8 former contestants that the producers/franchise love the most and want to use as their poster kids? Ben Higgins, Ben Higgins, Ben Higgins, Ben Higgins, Ben Higgins aaaaaaaannnnndddd….ummmm, Ben Higgins.
– Any scoop on Kaitlyn and Jason? How about any other rumoured “Bachelor Nation” hookups?

Comment: Kaitlyn and Jason are publicly saying they’re going out on a date now, which is kinda funny though. Are they saying and acting like this is the first time they’ve been out together? Because it’s not. But how cute they’re pretending it is. Have at it kids. I don’t have anything against either of them. I just know (as do others) this isn’t the first time they’re going out, so, I’m not sure why they’re making it seem like it is.

Two questions.
I could have possible missed it but why weren’t Sean and Catherine featured on the show last night? You would think they are like the “best” success story of the franchise so it didn’t make sense for them not even to be mentioned? See answer 2 questions ago.
Also, any idea if Nick and Haley (the twin) are a thing? He’s leaving some pretty flirty and straightforward comments on all of her pictures. Curious if you have heard anything. No. Have no idea.
Last, not a question but I’m sure you saw Josh’s post about Andi last night. That guy is such a douche.

Happy New Year and Happy New Season!
So how do you think the WTA will play out? Will they have the two women rejected on the Fantasy suites episode? In terms of how anything will air once the Overnight Dates episode hits, I have no idea. But I can’t see how Tayshia, Hannah, or Cassie could be part of the WTA. Just wouldn’t make sense.
Assuming Colton will be there, I wonder how much of the season’s outcome they will divulge, seems to me it would be hard to pretend everything is unfolding as usual and there will be a final rose ceremony. Agreed. This ending is going to be waaaaaaay different than we’ve ever seen.
I am really disappointed with how the whole virginity situation is being handled and I wonder what you think about it (and what Ashley Spivey would think as well).
I find that all the jokes and innuendo from the women on the first night were totally disrespectful and tasteless. If we had a virgin bachelorette, can you imagine a male contestant popping a cherry balloon in her face? That could actually be interpreted as an aggressive gesture.
Is it because he’s a guy that they’re laughing it off? I understand that Colton consciously chose to tell America he’s a virgin and he now has to lie in the bed he made, but I still think they’re taking it too far. Not that I’m an advocate for virginity before marriage or a serious relationship but that is a personal choice that everyone else needs to respect.
Anyway, here goes another trainwreck. I think Catherine is a pretty good runner up to Corinne, along with Demi whom I can’t stand already. Perfect excuse to drink wine on Mondays! ?

Comment: I think the virginity thing is just that – a cocktail joke. Colton knew it was coming and he signed up for it and didn’t care. You know, because he was willing to do anything they said. So yeah, I don’t think it’s as serious as you’re taking it, but what’d you expect from a show like this? It’s low hanging fruit to them. You knew it was coming. This is what they do.

I just love reading your spoilers and insight…did you notice that Colton “re-insta-storied” TWO stories that has Cassie in them!? ~seriously does he not see this as obvious lol! I am sure ge gets thousands of tags but then chooses to include the girl he ends up with TWO out of three stories!! I was just wondering if you noticed the same or anyone else?!
Comment: I don’t watch Colton’s stories. Didn’t know he did this but, I mean, yeah. I don’t know what people want me to say. He chose her. What he chooses to do all season on his IG is his choice. But to spoiled people, yeah, that’s the way you’d see it. To unspoiled, they don’t think twice about that stuff.

I know some of you shake your head at some of the emails you read here on a weekly basis. This one might take the cake…
Dear Steve, It is appalling that you did not do a good Job and had women or girls like Cassie who were not ready to get engaged, should you not have done your homework and ask the women this question first before coming on the show.
Will not be watching bachelor anymore since the spoilers show that Cassie was not ready to be engaged and unleashed this truth on Colton a bit too late in the show.
You Steve and your Family will reap bad karma for playing with people lives and allowing the Cassies of this world appear on the show and not do you Job properly.

Is it just me or were there way less intro videos than there normally are? Also I noticed there were no “sob” stories on the intros. For example Colton’s cousin with cf or Josiah’s brother who died. What are your thoughts?
Comment: Nah, you must have short term memory when it comes to that. There are always between 7 and 9 intro videos every season without fail. Have never had 10 or more, and never had 6 or less. This season we got 8. Nothing different from the norm.

Random question – you’ve mentioned before that nowadays most of these contestants get on the show because they know someone, have agents, get recruited, etc…but listening to Olivia and your podcasts, every time they get asked, the guests always seem to have been submitted by their “mom or friends”… are they all just full of it? Not allowed to tell the truth?
Comment: Maybe I’ve just had the ones on who were submitted by friends and family. Or maybe they lied to me. I’m not sure. Maybe the ones that say “friends” are actually not revealing the friend is either someone from a previous season or an agent, etc.
