   The only requirement to be a contestant seems to be a meathead bro with six pack abs. No extra charge for a self-portrait with animal blood hand prints on a bare chest. Such a turn on! NOT. There must be so many accomplished 35-45 yo men out there for her to choose from whose only crime is a beer gut. Such a superficial show. I can’t imagine her ending up with any of them.

    I use to follow some lifestyle bloggers and one of them that i followed (Sheridan Gregory – married to Adam Gregory from the recent 90210 show) had a sister that married Bret a few years ago. I remember seeing pics of their wedding on Instagram and then it looked like the split pretty soon after like under a year. That would have been his second divorce after the first with the two kids.

    Looking forward to this new Bachelorette season with older woman younger guy dynamic. My husband and I are big fans (with help of you Reality Steve) and always imagining how we’d react to each other if we had been on Bach/Bachelorette in our youth. He’s 10 years younger than me; we’ve been married 30 years. Watching the relationships form will be fun. Hope she picks one of the “young” ones.

    Not looking forward to this dynamic at all. Was hoping for a more mature season, but this is just gonna be another trainwreck. Not with guys a decade or more younger than Clare.

    Seriously, we’re all gonna tune into The Bachelorette and a season of “The Nanny” is gonna break out instead.

    I thought Clare was a reaction to having several seasons of young contestants who weren’t ready for marriage. A 20 something year old male model and and 38/39 year old woman… this is ridiculous!talk about being on the show for the “right reasons.”

    2. In one of those pics, Tyler Cottrill is very reminiscent of Garrett Yrigoyen.

    3. Guess they’re seeding the field with eligible young men for BIP. Clare is just a sop to all the viewers who have complained about the annoying and unlikable young women who typically populate this show. Once Clare’s season is done, I imagine Bach’ette will be back to business as usual. JMO

    I figure the young guys are hoping for future bachelor or NIP gigs. I “dated” youngs guys too. It was fun. Married one though only two years younger. I know some long term couples with 5, 7+ years between them but not many. Can’t see Claire going for someone in their 20s for the long term.

    Urghhh they’re all so young. I feel like this season is doomed already, poor Clare. Give her some age appropriate men. Yes, these age-gap relationships can work in the real world, but they’re rare, and it’s different in this bubble where a lot of them have the motivation of social media growth for applying, as opposed to genuinely wanting to settle down with a 39 year old. It’s very unrealistic.

    Also, Tylers friend? ugh. it’s clearly about who you know, to get on this show. Womp Womp.

    Claire should tell the boys under 30 to just get back in the limo. Why waste her time on boys too young to really have a long term relationship.

    Was hoping for mature contestants age group 35-40 yr old. Do we really believe any of these 20 something model looks are here for a 39 yr old? What a disaster? Someone at ABC has been sloppy. Feel sorry for Claire, she stands no chance.
