Hey Steve, I watched from the very first bachelor Alex Michel and the last Bachelor or Bachelorette I watched was Nick Viall’s season. I want to go back and stream everything I didn’t see. Can you give me the order of Bachelor, Bachelorette, Winter Games, and Paradise to watch? I remember a couple of little stupid shows associated with the franchise but don’t remember the name. OH, Bachelor Pad – not interested in those. I watched those. Isn’t that where they split or kept the money at the end of the game? Yes. As far as the order goes? Oh geez, for Bachelor/ette, it went Nick, Rachel, Arie, Becca, Colton, Hannah, Peter, Clare/Tayshia, Matt, Katie, Michelle, Clayton. You’ll have to just go on Wikipedia for the dates that BIP aired after which Bachelorette season.

I just finished Colton’s book – what a waste – and am now reading Amy Kaufman’s book.

Thanks if you can help.

Comment: Amy’s book is really good. Including the 4 pages she wrote on me. That’s the best part ha ha. Didn’t read Colton’s and have no interest.

Hi Steve,

Sorry to hear you got Covid and glad you are feeling better. Someone emailed you about not being able to get a Covid test. Ashley Spivey is actually an excellent resource for Covid tests. She is constantly putting links up in her IG stories for places you can buy Covid tests and get them quickly. I found the place below from Ashley, ordered mine, and got them in 4 or 5 days. You can also pay extra and get them sooner. The brand is on/go. And now you can get 4 per household free by just signing up on the link from the govt here: https://www.covidtests.gov/.

This is in response to your reader who thought that Cassidy and Shanae were coached by the Game of Roses podcast. Chad and Lizzie, the hosts of the Game of Roses podcast, have a book coming out January 25th called “How to Win the Bachelor” and Chad has said he may possibly be coaching players to win the Bachelor. Although if he is coaching them, it is in secret. Clearly your reader is not “in the pit”. Being “in the pit” is the term Chad and Lizzie use for super Bachelor fans who listen to their podcast. If she listened to the Game of Roses recap on episode 2 of the Bachelor, she would clearly know that Chad and Lizzie thought both Cassidy and Shanae made a tremendous amount of errors in their game play. They don’t expect either of them to last very long on the show.

Chad and Lizzie are also extremely impressed with Susie’s game play and are predicting already that she will be the Bachelorette.

Comment: Yeah, doesn’t look like they’ll reveal who they coached. Definitely puts them in an interesting position.

Hi Steve, as you noted people do want the tea. I thought of a way to “give the people what they want” without compromising your standards. How about a section of your column called “the rule of three”. If 3 different sources of yours corroborate something then you’ll print it. With the disclaimer that it’s not gospel but you’ve done the work to get the facts straight. Have loved your column forever and now podcast. Appreciate all that you do.

Comment: But it has nothing to do with the sources. That’s not what I’m worried about. I could get it sourced from one place where I know it’s correct because they provide evidence. But usually that source wants to stay anonymous and not attach their name to it. So I know what they’re telling me is true, they know what they’re telling me is true, but if I can’t put their name behind it or have permission to use the evidence they gave me, that does me no good.

Hi RS,

You asked what we’d like you to report on. My 2 cents …

I think of you as an investigative reporter for the bachelor franchise. As UNESCO defines it, “Investigative journalism involves exposing to the public matters that are concealed–either deliberately by someone in a position of power, or accidentally, behind a chaotic mass of facts and circumstances that obscure understanding.” For bachelor stuff that means to me, if someone in the franchise is overtly lying to me, I want to know. Period. As a viewer/fan/etc, don’t insult me by making up stories and expecting me to believe them. Does that mean sometimes involving people outside the franchise? It may. There are ways to be respectful, though. Call me harsh, but by being a liar to the public that gives you your fame and livelihood in the first place, you kind of did it to yourself.

I know there’s a million things to consider on this topic, but I wanted to give a perspective I hadn’t seen before on your site.

Comment: There are plenty of people in this franchise who are lying. Lying about their past, lying about their present, lying about the edit they’re getting, etc. And I have numerous examples where I could relay a story I know to be true and/or provide evidence that shows it. But I can’t because I don’t have permission from the source. That’s where all this is stemming from. I have plenty of evidence in my possession about numerous people. I don’t tell them I do, since I don’t plan on running with any of it. If I wanted to, I already would’ve by now. But I don’t have the permission to post whatever evidence I may have, so, it just allows me to look at certain people differently and maybe not fall for what persona is shown on TV and/or social media.

Hi Steve,

The biggie in Bachelor Nation today is what the fuck happened with Tayshia and the show? ABC just wouldn’t piss all over a potential downstream talk show host in their talent stable. It’s very mysterious, and I think all of Bachelor Nation is pulling for her. But what happened? What’s her status with the network or production company? Inquiring minds need to know.

Comment: Nobody really knows. She hasn’t said a word. I certainly haven’t heard anything. But this nonsense that she’s no longer podcasting because she’s single is preposterous just based on looking at the straight facts of who hosts these BN affiliated podcasts, and peddled throughout social media by people who run with any gossip story they hear on TikTok.

Hi Steve!

I’m a long time reader of your column and a fan! Just wondering, because Clayton just addressed all of these tiktok rumors about him, but I can’t find on the internet what the actual rumors are. Can you clarify what is being said about him?

Thank you!!

Comment: That another guy walked in on Clayton having sex with that guy’s girlfriend, which turned out to be completely false. Or that he ghosted someone before going on Michelle’s season, which, I haven’t seen any evidence of.

Hi Steve,

Just wanted to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the podcast with Steve and Kurt. As a Mom of grown sons, it made me smile all the while as I was driving to Amarillo. Good job on it and what great guys they are! Best bromance ever….

I also wanted to chime in on your dilemma about what to share/what not to share in case you are still wanting feedback on that. Personally, I think you have made a very good business by TRUTHFULLY saying what is really going on on all fronts. This quote from an old geezer might be helpful…

United States radio host Bernard Meltzer ran an advice call-in show from 1967 through the 1990s. Bernard is accredited with the following quote:

“Before you speak ask yourself if what you are going to say is true, is kind, is necessary, is helpful. If the answer is no, maybe what you are about to say should be left unsaid.”

However, you do have an audience to please…so it’s really up to you, your conscience, your tolerance for being socially pummeled for “hating on” somebody they love, and your tolerance for what people do to others when they hear news about them that pisses them off. I also think that if it’s something about the person that could put others in harms way (like the stockbroker guy who was taking pics in the bathroom) it should be out there. Finally, I think you should consider the question; “What is the motive of the person who is telling me this information?”. If you can figure that out, you will probably have your answer on whether to share it or not.

Comment: Well, my tolerance level is about as low as it can get, and almost all the info we’re talking about is negative. So yeah, over the years, the beating from the audience because they don’t want to hear anything negative about someone they like gets old real quick.

Dear Steve,

I have been listening to your Podcasts on and off for several years and although they are mostly mindless entertainment, I would like to commend you for the Jennie Alexandra Podcast. You tackled a very sensitive topic and did not hesitate to help Jenna get her story out so hopefully other victims of Sex Trafficking could find support. You handled yourself in a very professional manner and brought some clarity to how most people see Sex Trafficking: as someone who is kidnapped and sold into sexual slavery. As I listened to the beginning of Jenna’s story, I couldn’t fathom how this intelligent woman beginning law school would sign a piece of paper she didn’t understand and be duped into doing the videos. However, as the story unfolded, it was clear that these scum manipulated young, innocent and inexperienced women who were sold on the idea of a lucrative a “modeling” opportunity.

After reading the transcript you really could see the pattern of these scum exploiting young women, who many, were from vulnerable backgrounds and duped into thinking this was their big modeling break. I, like you, could not understand why “Rape” was not included amongst the charges. Even as the defense mentioned it was outside the law because the women signed documents, they did not in “good faith” sign the document, nor consent to such acts of violence voluntarily. As you pointed out, however, we are not purvey to all the details in the case and maybe since the defendant pled guilty to the sex trafficking, the prosecutor removed the “rape” charge off the table in order to get the guilty plea (which is speculation on my part).

I do want to address a comment you made regarding the statement that the defense made in court about “how can the defense attorney’s only excuse be that the defendant was young and dumb?” What more could he really say? The guy is scum, he has no remorse which was shown by the fact that he continued to victimize women during the civil trial without thought. There was no statement the defense could really give knowing the ramifications of his client’s actions and admission to guilt.

Hopefully this guy will receive a visit from “Karma” while in jail and be treated as the sexual predator that he is by the other inmates. He should be castrated! I would have praised you and Jenna for telling her story on twitter but you know how the trolls are.

As a mother of a daughter in her 20’s, my heart breaks for these women and how their lives were changed over this. Almost every woman who gave a statement attempted or had thoughts of suicide. I can’t understand how any parent could abandon their child for the violence they incurred. I really hope this podcast is heard by as many people as possible, as there are many more schemes like this still in operation and girls with modeling aspirations need to be aware these predators are out there so they learn to vet these ads very closely before applying to an internet ad. I re-twitted your post and hope everyone of your listeners do the same to get this story out to as many as possible to be aware that this type of trafficking is real! As a very popular “Reality T.V” reporter, I urge you to explore more of these types of podcasts. You have a very large platform and following and can help to spread the word about such acts of violence and other sensitive topics.

Comment: Thank you for the response. Jennie really liked it as well. She loved hearing this.

With the inability to get any recent contestants from the show, as you see I’m diving into other shows that I watch, and will try to get more human interest stories out there, since those are ones that interest me the most.

hi! my question isn’t about the bachelor. just wanted to hear your thoughts on this weekend playoff games!!!

there’s a lot of controversy about OT rules now after that chiefs game.
also- who is your ideal super bowl match up?

i think the bengals/rams would be a great match up because the bengals have been in this huge playoff drought and stafford has been stuck in detroit so both would be heartwarming lol.
thanks!

Comment: I’ll just say this. I have bets on 3 of the final 4 teams to win the Super Bowl: Bengals, Rams, and 49ers.

I bet the Rams preseason at 10/1.
I bet the Bengals in mid October when they were 4-2 at 40/1.
I bet the 49ers before the playoffs started at 10/1.

So here’s the deal. Obviously I’m hoping the Bengals win on Sunday, because then I’m guaranteed to win a good amount of money on the Super Bowl since I’ll have a bet on either team to win. If KC wins, then I just have to decide if I’m going to hedge with whoever wins between the Rams and SF. My guess right now is no, I’m not gonna hedge. But lets see how Sunday plays out first. Lets just say I’ll be chanting “Who Dey” all weekend.

Why did I never put in a Super Bowl bet on the Chiefs? Because there was no value there. They’ve been a favorite pretty much all season. They were never 10/1 that I can remember.

Have you heard if temptation island is coming back?

Thanks.

Comment: It is. It filmed in September of last year. My guess is it’ll start airing in February, which is when it did last year. I’m guessing we’ll be hearing something soon.

Are you watching Amazing Race?

Comment: No. Never gotten into that show.
