All right. Have a reader email to get to, which kind of brings up a lot of questions and comments about survivor that I want to get to.
And as I said, Steven Fischbach is going to be the weekly podcast guest this week. I believe that’s number three 93. So we’re going to put a final bow on the season of Survivor talking to Steven, because I’ve got, I was writing notes all season of, Oh, I got to ask Steven this. Oh, I got to ask Steven that.
So I can’t wait to talk to him this week because I know he’s going to have some thoughts. He was actually out of town. So I’m assuming. He either watched the finale, wherever he went, he didn’t tell me where him and his family went vacationing or he just watched it when he got back. But I know Steven’s going to have a lot of thoughts on this season.
So we’ll get to this email right now to Steve. Do you think Ben should have been pulled from the game at some point due to his mental health issues or should they pull people for physical issues? I was hoping it would be a tie. So Ben would have to break it. Damn Maria and her BS voting rationale. I think if they felt Ben was in danger, At least to others in the tribe or to himself, they would have pulled him.
I think just having the night terrors and nightmares, I don’t think was enough to pull him from the game, but I’m sure they asked him, Hey, do you feel that you can stay in the game? Do you feel, are you okay to stay? I’m sure they asked him. And that one, I have no problem with him staying in the game because I have a feeling.
If they, if they ever thought they’re, they’re over, you know, they’re overly cautious on this show. If they ever thought he was a harm to himself or others in the tribe, they absolutely would have pulled him. If you didn’t read Ben’s exit interview with ew. com, you know, It’s only happened once in the history of the show.
That was the Wendell and Dominic finale. I can’t remember the name of that season. If the final tribal ends in a tie, the third person sitting there is the one that breaks the tie. There it’s their vote. They go and vote of who they want to win. And Ben said in his post show interview, if Charlie and Maria tied, I would have voted for Charlie.
So Maria’s vote did cost Charlie a million dollars. I think Liz finally made a good move when she helped Kenzie win immunity. I’m assuming Fishbach would know if that’s ever happened before. I don’t remember. Do you find it funny that Liz was finally the first choice to go to sanctuary to eat and she was allergic to the food.
So she passed, at least she was consistent throughout the game, not knowing how to jump allergies, outbursts, muttering aloud that she would have won during the finale and the big reveal. She has a risk condition that prevents making fire. I don’t believe we’ve ever seen somebody that late in the game, an individual immunity challenge at the end of the game, help somebody else.
I think we’ve seen tribes help other tribes, but never individual. And I think it was either Kenzie or Liz in their exit interview said nothing against it. It’s the best part about survivor. You kind of make your own rules. If it was against the rules, Jeff probes would have stepped in and said, absolutely not.
You can’t do this, but he didn’t. That’s what they chose to do. And you basically act first and ask questions. Second, and Liz acted in the moment. She wanted to help out Maria, Maria realized which, I mean, not Maria, Kenzie, Kenzie realized what she was doing and went along with it because it wasn’t against the rules.
You’re allowed to do that. It’s just, we’ve never really seen it before unless I’m forgetting, but it is a question I will ask Steven and first off, ask him what he thinks of it. And secondly, has that ever happened before? I don’t believe it has. Unless somebody, unless there was something related to a puzzle.
And somebody was looking over at somebody else’s puzzle, but that’s not somebody else helping somebody else. When that’s just you being lazy to not cover up your puzzle or whatever, but I don’t remember that ever happening. Next part of this email as Q created such a mess in the game. Were you surprised?
He wasn’t asked about whether it was an actual strategy. The after show was too short. I would still like to see CBS, ale, air and full cast finale. So they can offer perspective having seen the whole season. Okay. First off, if I remember correctly, when I was watching. The final vote wasn’t read till nine 25.
So we only had a 35 minute quote unquote reunion show. That seems to be the shortest one I can remember. I’ve seen the last couple of seasons where it may be what, you know, we were getting the final votes read at like nine 15, maybe nine 20. I don’t ever remember nine 25 and we have a 35 minute recap show.
Secondly, I think we’re stuck with these. Reunion shows that happen out there. I just don’t think they’re doing it anymore. They’re not going to the live finales anymore and they’re not going to, yeah, you have. The other people that are still there and kept out in filming until all the filming is over.
Actually, no, they send the pre jury home. So everybody in jury would have been there and those are the people that were there. Those are the people that they use. So yeah, I, I don’t know why the live, the live finales, you know, I don’t, I don’t understand why they do them. Obviously it’s a, it’s a cost thing.
I’m sure they’re cutting back and fly everybody out. But I know one reason they couldn’t do it this season because at the time of that finale airing last Wednesday, They’re 10 days into filming season 47, so Jeff would have had to pause filming for season 47 to fly back to film a live finale. So that’s one reason they can’t do it in the spring, because they are filming a current season at the time.
And the last thing in this email, American Idol, Steve, did you ever call your former co worker about his Bo Bice pic? I picture him answering the phone as you say, Hey, this is Reality Steve, and I told you so about Bo Bice. See ya! And then hanging up on him. No, I didn’t. And this would’ve been 2000. I was at that.
I was in my mortgage job. I worked there from oh two to oh four, so this would’ve been oh four. I remember his name was Glen, but I don’t remember his last name, and I would have no clue how to find him after that. But no, never, never called him after that. Sorry. Sorry, Glen. Sorry about your Bob Ice prediction and the fact that I just nailed Carrie Underwood.
Okay. That that sounded bad. You know what I mean? One final thing about Survivor. Did you see that Jeff Probst announced that they are ending the SIA prize? You know, the musical artist SIA, who is a huge fan of the show. And ever since she started just giving out money to her favorite players, Jeff Probst announced over the weekend, or maybe it was on Friday.
That the SIA prize is now ending, but there was no reason given. And there were no quotes from SIA. I don’t know if CBS stepped in and said, Hey, while we appreciate the fact that you’ve given over a million dollars of your own money to contestants that you just like, we can’t do this anymore. Or SIA decided not to do it anymore.
But Jeff made a whole thing about it, that they’re ending the cash prize that SIA gives out, but never gave a reason why, which I find interesting. I wonder if there is something more to it other than. Hey, there’s just no prize anymore. See, it’s given out over a million dollars. I don’t know why she would just be like, yeah, I don’t want to do it anymore.
I don’t know. It seems like she probably still likes the show still watches the show, or maybe she’s turned on the show because she doesn’t like the new era and the 26 days. Who knows? She has the last few seasons because she’s given out money every season. And finally, There was a page six report and pictures along with it because in 2024 we know you need evidence and you need receipts and page six had them of Jax Taylor going to lunch with model page woolen over the weekend.
I don’t know who page woolen is. Seems to be quite attractive based on the pictures. She’s 26 years old, I believe. And I don’t know if she’s an Instagrammer or a TikToker. Let me actually look up, let me just Google, hang on. Let me do an Instagram search of her name. Okay. Her Instagram handle is page uncaged.
She’s only posted 15 times. She has 845, 000 followers and every single picture. Accentuates her giant breasts is like, she’s not hiding what she’s doing here. All 15 of them. There’s not one where she has anything less than a bikini on or a bra. I can’t say I’m remotely surprised that this is who Jack’s Taylor was seen out to lunch with.
Hey, I’m sure it’s just a business meeting, right? Platonic friends. Yeah. But Paige Uncaged, if you’re interested in following her, she doesn’t seem to let’s see what her Instagram story is. Oh, this brings this one picture brings us to snip feed. co. Oh, exclusive content. And she’s got an OnlyFans where she’s not surprising.
We’re just going down that rabbit hole in the last 30 seconds. Jacks. Taylor is interested in an only fans model. Color me stunned. Anyway. Thank you all for listening. Really appreciate it.
