Daily Roundup 6/19 – Judge Mata Rules On The Clayton Echard/Laura Owens Case, What Happens Next, Thoughts On The Judges Verbiage, & Feeling Vindicated

All right, let’s continue. One of my other favorite points about this case. And if you remember. And about what the judge said in her summary judgment yesterday, recap, I don’t know what they call it.

I’m not good with the legal terms. If you remember me talking about the case, either the next day or live with Dave on June 10th from Arizona and in subsequent interviews I’ve done since then, one thing that was talked about was the fact that we thought, and it was clear as day, That Laura’s lawyer was giving her hand signals while she was up on the stand and she was being cross examined.

He was signaling her something with his hands and making gestures. And here’s what the judge said in her judgment yesterday. During Laura’s cross examination, it became profoundly obvious that counsel for Laura was attempting to coach her answers. Clayton’s counsel, identifying the issue moved between counsel.

And Laura, from that point forward, Laura began to exhibit extreme anxiety and an unwillingness to answer questions. The court had to remind Laura twice that counsel would ask a question and she needed to answer it. At this time, Laura pushed back her chair and advised the court. She did not believe that she was being treated fairly.

The court attempted to redirect Laura to no avail. At this time, Laura became emotional and asked for a brief recess, which the court granted. Here’s her, here’s her summary of what she thinks about all that. The court finds this interaction between counsel and Laura diminishes the credibility once again, and veracity of Laura’s responses during cross examination, the court finds it impossible to determine the date of any alleged miscarriage, not because it is impossible, but because she failed to seek even a minimal level of care.

For her high risk condition failure to demonstrate confirmation of ongoing pregnancy is a purposeful way to ensure Clayton would not be able to determine if she was pregnant and if so, for how long the pregnancy lasted again, something we covered over the last nine months, numerous times, it was basically the translation of that is.

Look, Laura, it was so easy to prove pregnancy. You jumped through all these hoops. Hey, I peed on a stick five times. It showed I was pregnant up until August 1st and, but then it’s just like, okay, go see an OBGYN, send us your patient portal report. And she never could do that. That’s why we knew we knew for nine months she was never pregnant.

Now the judge six different times in just two snippets that I’ve read you called her uncredible as a witness. It’s, it’s laughable at this point, but it’s also, like I said, I feel vindicated. I feel vindicated. Dave feels vindicated. Everything that we’ve been talking about with this woman over the last nine months was proven true by what the judge ruled yesterday.

And here is something very, very important. Additional orders at the end when she’s basically saying, Laura must pay Clayton’s legal fees. And who knows if that’s even going to happen because they’re definitely going to appeal Laura’s lawyer. David Gingras is absolutely going to appeal this case. And I don’t know how the appeal system works, but I don’t expect them to get very far based on everything that I’m hearing.

But here’s one of the additional orders, one of the last things the judge wrote in her summary yesterday. So this, it is further ordered the court having determined that Laura Owens has a pattern of similar, if not identical behavior and court involvement referring this matter to the Maricopa County attorney’s office for review of Laura Owens actions pursuant to ARS 13 and DACA code, this, that, that accordingly, the Maricopa County attorney’s office will be endorsed on this order.

So what we have been talking about for the longest time leading up to this was, look, we think Clayton’s going to win this case and she’ll be asked to pay his legal fees. Whether or not he ever sees a dime of that, we will never know. But one of the things that we’ve talked about coming out of this was, well, what’s going to happen to her if she just pays, if she never ends up paying a dime to him, what does Clayton win in all this?

Well, he gets his name cleared. That’s the biggest thing. His name is now cleared. It’s clear. He never impregnated her and his name is cleared. But. We were all thinking like, well, something should happen to her. She needs to suffer some consequences for what she’s done to not only Clayton, but to Greg Gillespie and Mike Maracini, two guys that we found out through this whole case, she had done the pretty much the same exact thing do, which the judge just laid out in that final statement.

The court determined that Laura Owens has a pattern of similar, if not identical behavior and court involvement, referring this matter to the Maricopa County’s attorney’s office to review of Laura’s Owens actions pursuant to the case. So now this doesn’t necessarily mean the DA or the county’s what is it?

The county attorney’s office. Yeah. Maricopa County attorney’s office is going to take it. Maybe they’re going to say, look, we’ve got bigger things to deal with in this county other than someone who lies on the stand. Right. Right. We’ve got murderers. We’ve got rapists. We’ve got drug deals going up. We got it.

We got to get to that first, but the fact that I was told the fact that the judge sent this over, they’re going to look at it and it’s a matter of what they decide to do. Dave’s going to start a petition soon to make sure that Laura Owens suffers the consequences for dragging these men through the mud and filing these just ridiculous lawsuits.

When she knew all along she was never pregnant, even though she’s not going to admit it. You know, she, what Dave and I have been saying, what Clayton said on his Instagram story yesterday, when he talked about this case, he’s like, look. mental health. I think Laura Owens needs help. I’ll be the first to advocate.

I’m the first to advocate for mental health. So I want to see her get help. That’s what Clayton said, a guy who’s literally had his life turned upside down for the last 13 months is still saying to this day I’m, I want to see her get help. So. I’ve said it. Dave said it. We’ve been very strict with her because we’ve dealt with her personally.

Me through emails, Dave through emails, I’ve gotten some emails that Dave hasn’t gotten through her. He’s gotten emails from her that I never received, but we’ve dealt with her and for four or excuse me, not four months. Well, four months for me cause I dealt with her from September to January. I have never heard from her since January.

So basically five months, four and a half if you want to be exact, but for four and a half months. I had to listen to this woman, tell me in emails that I was wrong. I was being biased. She was going to threaten a cease and desist. She was the one that was in the right. She would only come on the podcast.

If I basically heard her side of the story, which I said, I’ll hear it, but you got to understand, I’m going to have questions for you. I’m not just going to take everything you say and say, well, Clayton is the one that’s guilty in all this. No, that’s not the way it works. She wanted to put, she wanted to come on my podcast to basically convince me and tell everyone that she was in the right and Clayton was wrong.

But the second I fought back and said, that’s not the way it works just because I believe Clayton doesn’t mean I won’t put you on, but you have to understand how much is going to let you stand there and sit there on a phone. And absolutely spew your nonsense. I’m going to call you out on it. I’m going to have questions for you.

And then of course she said, well, I don’t want to do it because you’re clearly biased towards Clayton. So this is the type of person that we’re dealing with. And this is what I mean when I say yesterday, yesterday we were vindicated because everything that we had said about her and everything that we had said has now been told to her by a judge as well.

So she can’t come after us and say, Oh, we’re bullying her. We’re harassing her. Laura, we are reading exactly what a judge put in a statement yesterday. The judge said you were discreditable, you know, you were uncredible six different times in just three different snippets that I read from a 19 page summary and 19 page judgment six different times.

She said you were uncredible. So you can sit there all you want and I know she’s going to come back and I know she’s listening to this. Hey Laura. I know you’re listening to this because you listen to everything. And I’m just going to say this, get the help you need. And I stand by what I said to you in my last email, I believe it was January 4th.

I’m going to let the Arizona courts determine your fate. And you better hope luck is on your side. And you know what? It wasn’t. Arizona courts decided your fate and they absolutely obliterated you and everything you did in court on June 10th. I feel vindicated. Dave feels vindicated. We’re happy. We’re happy that justice has been served.

I hope that she suffers some consequences, whatever those may be. If the DA decides to take up this case, I think she’s in a world of hurt because she doesn’t have a, she doesn’t have a whole lot to stand on. When this is now out there where a judge has already, I just can’t imagine another judge is going to look at this and be like, yeah, judge Mata is all wrong.

I don’t think that’s what’s going to happen here. So. I think she needs to get the help that she can. I’ve been saying for months, she should have just owned all this and said, I was going through a really hard time in my life. My sister had just given birth. I was jealous, whatever, make it up, make up why you were so down on things that were going on in your life that you made up this whole lie.

I don’t care. But if you were to come forward, you will be much more easily, yes, there will be people still be pissed at you. I get it. But it’s much more easy to at least say you’re taking the right path and you’re willing to change things and you’re willing to say, you know what, I shouldn’t have done that.

I shouldn’t have done that to any of these men, but I can tell you right now, she’s not going to. She’s going to quadruple down. Her lawyer is already quadrupling down on Twitter saying basically, ah, basically if this was a football game, this is halftime and there’s a lot of flags on the field right now.

It’s not close to being over. It’s like, dude, take the L for God’s sakes. You’re getting destroyed. You could have said all that. And he’s been saying that stuff for a while now. But now a judge just threw out a 19 page judgment. And basically didn’t rule in favor of Laura on anything other than not re not taking away Clayton’s order of protection or her order of protection against Clayton, which.

Goes against Gingras’s one of his main points is that the judge wasn’t being fair. Well, the judge wasn’t being fair They ruled in favor of Laura to keep the order of protection against Clayton. So clearly the judge is being fair They actually gave one thing in your favor, but honestly, that’s not even just like to quote Laura Owens on the stand June 10th That’s not a big deal.

And honestly this part isn’t the order of protection is still out there against Clayton great He’s got an order of protection against her So I’m just, I’m really thrilled for Clayton. I’m thrilled for Mike Maracini. I’m thrilled for Greg Gillespie. Two guys that I got to meet last week when I was in Arizona.

And you know, if you want to go read it, I will there’s a way to go look for it online. It’s. It’s on the justice for Clayton or Clayton’s justice, a Twitter account. Go check it out there. It’s all there for you to read. It is a fascinating read. This judge did not hold anything back. I mean, those were just three parts that I read you, but you know, where do we go from here?

I mean, it’s definitely not over. There will be an appeal filed, but. The main thing is Clayton’s name is now cleared. He had, he had oral sex with this woman on May 20th of 2023. And up until yesterday, he’s basically had people out there probably, you know, most people were on his side, but there were people out there still doubting him and wondering what was going on.

Now his name is cleared clear that. She never proved any sort of pregnancy. Therefore, Clayton couldn’t have been the father of these twins that she claimed she had. So a great, great day yesterday. Go read it. I think there’ll be more talk about this coming in the next week or so. Hopefully get some guests on myself and Dave, myself or Dave.

Both of us will be covering this extensively still going forward because now that the judge has ruled, Maybe we can get some people involved in the case to come on for Laura Owens sake. I hope she gets some help. I hope she admits that this was all a fraud. Unfortunately I don’t think that’s going to happen.

It’s just my suggestion. It’s Dave’s suggestion. It’s Clayton’s suggestion. She would be so much better received if she actually took the time to do some introspection and realize, holy shit, look at what I’ve done. But she won’t, and unfortunately that’s going to burn her even more. If the DA takes up this case, which we hope he does.

So thank you all for listening. I know that was a lot. Please follow me on Apple podcasts also rate and review, but go back and hit play. It’s the only way it counts as a download. I’ll be talking about this more the rest of the week. I’m going to talk tomorrow on the weekly podcast, we’re going to have She’s All Batch on review what happened in Vegas and talk maybe a little bit and a little bachelorette, golden bachelorette, all that stuff, Vanderpump rules, maybe talk a little Laura Owens as well.
