I’ve told you. One of my favorite Instagram accounts is bh90210restored, which every single day posts something about Beverly Hills 90210, and they go in chronological order, right now they’re on season six, and it’s usually a couple scenes, could be one long scene, it could be two or three scenes put together, sometimes the clip are one and a half, two a minute, sometimes they’re five and a half minutes, like yesterday’s clip, it’s just, you know, Obviously loving 90210 like I do and the fact that they’re on season six right now, I watch every clip every day, even though it’s like, could I get like a full episode every day on that thing?
Do I have to get one clip from one episode every day? That’s why it takes like three or four months to go through one season, but season six, I don’t know if you remember it. Last yesterday’s clip was Susan Keats winning the journalist award for writing the story on an abortion that she never told Brandon she had until after she won the award.
She said she wrote it about somebody who decided to have an abortion and then she told Brandon, yeah, the story was about me. And Jonathan, her ex, who has been causing trouble in Brandon’s life, is the one that got Susan pregnant. And they were at odds. And Jonathan is pro life. Susan was pro choice. She decided to have an abortion.
She wrote a story about it for the CU’s paper and ended up winning an award. The whole reason we’ve seen Jonathan on season six, Brandon doesn’t understand why Jonathan is coming back anyway. The whole point being, I love that Instagram account, but I found another one for us millennials, and maybe some of you have already seen this.
I don’t know how many, you know what, let me pull it up on how many followers they have, because I didn’t even look until now. Here it is. They have 80, 000 followers. So still gaining some sort of traction. It’s not obviously something that a lot of people have seen, but if you grew up in the nineties and you were a teenager, late eighties, early nineties, you remember MTV, obviously, but you remember the show club MTV, where I feel like I got home from school anytime between three and four o’clock, I would turn on MTV.
So I could watch videos of the hottest songs out at the time. And also watch a bunch of people in a room dancing with downtown Julie Brown as the host. Well, on Instagram, go to club MTV fan page, and literally somebody must have recorded all the club MTV episodes on their VHS tape, and now they’re converting them over to a video that they can show on an Instagram page.
And that’s all it is. We get to see old school videos of just people dancing. And we know what dancing was in the late eighties and early nineties. A lot of movement, a lot of gyrating. I saw a video the other day, Rob bass and DJ easy rock. It takes two. We all remember that song from the early nineties.
And we see the club MTV episode of everyone dancing to it takes two. And it’s just, man, does that bring me back? Because first off I loved going to school dances and I used to watch club MTV videos to practice my dancing. Yes, that was me. So seeing this Instagram account now and now getting new videos, basically, I think they post every day.
I don’t, I don’t know exactly how often they post, but, and not only that, it’s like every single song that was a dance song in the late eighties, early nineties that I used to listen to. And it’s, it’s just so awesome watching these people dance. Watch looking at the outfits. How many guys were in jorts?
How many guys had fanny packs? Women had fanny packs. How many women had teased bangs and how much hairspray was in their hair? It is just so good. So good. So if you grew up watching club MTV. With downtown Julie Brown, go to club MTV fan page on Instagram. I guarantee you won’t regret it. And you’ll thank me later.
No real easy transition here, but you just see what happened to the Taylor Swift concert in Vienna, Austria this weekend. Three concerts supposed to be tonight, tomorrow, and Saturday have now all been canceled because two suspects were allegedly planning a terrorist attack. A 19 year old who was radicalized on the internet, according to police, had a bunch of explosives that were at his home.
Police, I guess, were tipped off somehow found it. And they assumed that he was going to commit a terrorist attack at one of the concerts. So they couldn’t take a chance of putting Taylor out there for three days. As of me recording this, she has not spoken out about it yet. She hasn’t given a statement.
But Barracuda Music, the promoter for Swift’s concert in Austria, had to cancel all three shows. Now, there’s only one other city in the world. And I think it’s, she’s going back to England on her European tour. I could be wrong on the city next week, but everybody who does have tickets for Austria are being refunded within 10 days.
Taylor hasn’t spoken out yet on what they’re going to do. I have to believe that she is going to go back there at some point. I understand that this is a serious, serious threat. It’s not like she’s going back next week or in two weeks, but I can see her going back at some point by the end of 2024 and doing those three days in Austria.
I’d be surprised if she never makes it up and these people just get their money back just because how maniacal some of her fans are. And I think she wants to give them this concert. They’re the only ones who have missed out on a concert. No other concert has been canceled. She’s had a couple, I think she had a postponement, but it’s not a cancellation.
She had a couple that people had to wait out. I know in Nashville, people had to wait out a thunderstorm. They had to shelter in place and the concert started like three hours late. It ended up ending at like one or two in the morning, but she still did it. So, this is awful to hear that a 19 year old caused this.
Somebody that was radicalized on the internet and basically is a member of ISIS pledged his allegiance to the leader of ISIS. I mean, it’s just scary shit, but my prediction is she’ll go back to Austria before the end of the year. I just, I just don’t see her saying never going back there sucks for them.
At least they get their money back, but sucks for them because we all know what these European tours, so many Americans are flying out there too. So. I don’t know, but my prediction is she will go back to Austria and make these concerts up. And finally, again, something that I teased at the beginning of yesterday’s podcast, but I just totally blanked on getting around to it.
Did you see who was on Celebrity Family Feud on Monday night? I didn’t watch it. I just saw the story on the entertainment sites. Clay Aiken was on it. Okay. We’ve seen Clay Aiken on, I believe The Apprentice. We’ve seen him on other reality shows. Like, fine, whatever. You know who else was on Clay Aiken’s team?
His 15-year-old son. What wasn’t it just like four months ago, clay Aiken was on the cover of People Magazine with his baby . His son is 15. If you would’ve told me before I saw that story, clay Aiken’s son is six. I would’ve been like, eh, sounds about right. 15 Clay Aiken son. You have got to be kidding me.
Holy shit. I feel old. Like I honestly could have swore, okay, maybe not four months ago, but I honestly could have swore that people magazine cover of clay Aiken with his baby was five years ago, six years ago, maybe seven, not 15 years ago. Unreal. Thank God I didn’t watch the episode only because I probably would have drowned myself in a court of Ben and Jerry’s chocolate chip cookie dough.
Because I cannot believe, I mean there’s so many things nowadays. As obviously I’m getting up there in age. There’s so many things nowadays that make me go, Oh my gosh, I can’t believe this. And I can’t believe that. And, but that one really hit me to my core that Clay Aiken has a 15 year old son. Yes. I know he was on season two of American idol and season two was God knows how many years ago.
