We’re going to preview the Hometown Date episode for Grant’s season. We are going to talk about Friday’s daily roundup that had Ricky wise on it.
I have an update from that. We’re also going to discuss the traders. Since I had Ricky wise on the podcast on Friday, I could not go over the traders episode on Thursday. So I’m going to talk about that and maybe some Oscars talk to end the episode. And we will get to all that momentarily. So yes, in our shortest season, in terms of how many episodes before hometowns since Jake Pavelka’s.
So it’s been a while. We are at hometowns tonight for grant season. We know our final four, Dina Zoe Latia and Juliana Latias is going to be in Wyoming, the only ones we got pictures of. At the time they were happening, actually, there were two of them. We got pictures of, we got Dina in Chicago and we got Julianna in Massachusetts, and then Zoe has hers in New York.
So we’re going to see the families that spawned these women. And this episode over the years has kind of changed because a lot of the time. It was always, there was always one out of the four families and maybe we’re going to get that tonight, but there was always one out of the four families that was just kind of off the wall.
It was always somebody that was a particular character. They played the comedy music behind it. There was always just one hometown that didn’t fit. And that usually ended up being the person that went home. Now, it seems like in recent seasons, it’s been more of families questioning the process and questioning, Hey, you got to understand.
You barely know this person. Are you really ready? And then they’ll throw that doubt in there. And you’ve got a couple of parents over the years that still had doubt after the hometown date, Matt Randolph, Cassie’s dad being the one that stuck out. That’s why I named him Matt Effin Randolph at the time.
There were a couple other ones. I think, I think Tayshia’s dad was very, very suspicious as well of the whole process. But ultimately, it’s never gonna prevent anyone from getting down on one knee at the end. I mean, has anybody ever gotten to the end and said, I planned on proposing to you, but your one family member was against it, so I didn’t.
No. They just like showing it for the drama factor to put some seeds of doubt. Into the public’s mind of, Hey, maybe they’re really not going to do this, or maybe they will take my warnings. And maybe they will listen to me when I say, are you ready for this? But ultimately, does that end up happening? We’re going to see what we’re going to see.
Now. I don’t know if any of the four are going to get like the weird edit tonight. It’s possible. We’ll just have to watch and find out, you know, on Saturday, the women tell all taped. You saw a few of the women post on their Instagram stories yesterday, obviously still hanging out in L. A. There’s a couple former contestants, Jeremy and Jonathan, that were posting on their Instagram stories that they were clearly in L.
A. and they went to the taping. So, I haven’t heard anything yet. If I do, I will fully report it to everybody. Haven’t heard anything yet about the tapings, but I can’t imagine it being anything too crazy. Clearly, I think the two biggest questions are, how bad did the women go at Carolina, and was Lettia there?
Because, they change it up every once in a while. Sometimes, they film the women tell all, and they include the person who finished third at the tapings. Which in this case would be Latia. And then even though that episode airs after Latia is gone on the episodes that air Monday night, they tape it obviously before because Latia is still on the show.
So she’s at the women tell all, we know she doesn’t make final two, even though you’ve known for spoilers, she doesn’t make final two, she finishes third. So there’s that. And then sometimes the show mixes it up and sometimes the show doesn’t have the final three person there, whether it was a man or a woman and the finale.
Includes all three women. So if Latia wasn’t at the taping, that means we’re going to have the finale start with three women. And that’s why Latia wouldn’t be there. I don’t know if she’s there. I haven’t heard anything about the taping other than, you know, what was on social media and you know, how bad it got for Carolina, if it did, I’m sure.
I mean, when you think about it. I did. I kept saying Latia. I meant Zoe. Jeez. Boy, I totally blanked on that. Anything I just said about Latia, I meant Zoe. Zoe finished third. If she was at the taping, then it’s possible. If she was at the taping, that means that she is going to be eliminated before the Women Tell All airs.
If she’s not at the taping Then she’ll still be there on finale night. Sorry about that. Totally blanked. Well, not blanked. I just, I mixed them up. And every time I said Latiya, I meant to say Zoe, cause we know Dina goes home tonight, Zoe finishes third, Latiya second, and Juliana is your winner. If you think about the drama, if Zoe is not there, they really have nobody else to go after the women.
This is going to be all Carolina. I’m sure Carolina will be brought up to the hot seat as well as Dina. Maybe somebody else from this season will. If Zoe’s there, she will, for sure. I would say, I would say those three would be a definite yes for the hot seat. But, if Zoe isn’t there I almost feel bad for Carolina.
Because there’s no other drama that was caused this season that I remember. It was Zoe in the beginning, when she kept stealing him. And then after that, it was all Carolina. And there wasn’t one person that defended Carolina, except for Dina two episodes ago, but one episode later in Scotland, she was going after her.
So I doubt Carolina has anybody on her side. And if she does, it’s somebody that was there episodes one, two, and three that are just probably told, Hey, stick up for Carolina. So, but the way Carolina is handling herself on. Instagram and on social media. It’s like, she’s leaning into it. She doesn’t seem bothered by it.
So she’s going to lean into it. Then the women absolutely have every right to go after her because if she doesn’t think she did anything wrong, or even if she did, but she just wants to lay into and play into the villain character, then by all means, people are going to come at you for being a villain. I don’t think that changes anything that Carolina wouldn’t be first sand.
In bachelor in paradise. She will absolutely 1000 percent be there. We know Jonathan’s going to be there. We know Hakeem’s going to be there. Those are the two from Jen season that were literally asked during mental all and after the final rose, if they would go. So we know there’ll be, there will be quite a few other guys from Jen season.
A lot of the women from grant season are going to be there. And then obviously. Joey’s women will be there because those are the last three seasons that never had a paradise Joey’s there was no paradise last summer. So we obviously couldn’t have any of Joey’s women and we couldn’t have had any of Jen’s men either.
They didn’t have a chance. So that’s why they will be on this season. Mine is Devin. And then we’ve got grants women. So most 85 to 90 percent of your cast are coming from those three shows. They will always reach back into the grab bag of former contestants and bring back some randos. They do it all the time.
We have no idea who that is yet. We’re still a couple months away from filming. It’s not gonna film till May. But plenty of time. Stuff will get out. And I say it every year. I’ll repeat it every time I talk about Paradise. Nobody is cast on this show until you literally walk down the steps of whatever resort they were at.
We don’t know where they’re going to be. We just know they’re not going to be in Sayulita this year. It’s going to be at a different resort. Maybe they’ll go back to the Dominican Republic. Seems kind of far away to fly that many contestants that far, but. Hey, you never know, but you’re not on the cast until you get walked down the steps because they have flown contestants out that literally sat in a hotel room for some people sat for a week.
Some people have sat for two weeks and producers just didn’t have a storyline. So they never brought them on and they sent them home. There was one person that went, that, that happened to, and then the next year they told him, Oh, no, no, no, no. We’re definitely putting you on. And he flew out and wasn’t used two years in a row.
Kind of sad, but it has happened. So nobody. Can say this person’s definitely being cast. I mean, we know that Jonathan’s going to be on. We know that Hakeem’s going to be on. I don’t think it’s far fetched to say that Carolina’s going to be on. Not to mention someone like Dina, if she wants to do it, if she can’t get away from her law firm work.
Zoe, I would think would be on it. I don’t see why she wouldn’t. So we kind of know the women from grant season that will probably be there, but yeah, it’s it’s going to be new show runner. This person worked on claim to fame. They worked on married at first sight and they’ve never worked in the bachelor franchise before.
So anybody that says there’s going to be a whole reboot or all this stuff, we have no idea what paradise is going to look like this season until filming is over and stuff starts getting out to predict what’s going to be going in. We have no idea. You can guess, and you can speculate, but nobody truly knows, because this show is not very transparent whatsoever, we know this.
They’re not going to say, hey, we’re going down and filming Paradise at this location down in Mexico, and here’s how we’re changing things up this year.
