You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality. Steve Podcast, I’m your host reality. Steve, thank you all for tuning in. A different type of Thursday for you today. Not on this podcast, but what you would normally expect on a Thursday from me. We will talk about that. We’ll also talk about last night’s episode of Survivor.
I have not brought up this story that happened, what, a couple months ago maybe. It was still going college football season was still happening, but it is getting bigger and bigger in the entertainment world, and it kind of pertains to the business that I’m in and running with stories that aren’t vetted.
And it’s regarding Pat McAfee and an Ole Miss University student. Then we’ll end talking about the show that literally kills my Brain Cells, the floor. I’ve got a question about it since I’ve watched zero episodes this season, but I still wanna bring it up. We’ll get to all that momentarily. This podcast brought to you by Pretty Litter Spring is in the air.
No, it’s not in the air of your house. Litter box stink. That’s because you use pretty litter. It obliterates odors so you can enjoy all the wonderful scents of spring. Pretty litter’s, non clumping formula traps, odor and moisture. It’s ultra absorbent. It’s lightweight, low dust, and one six pound bag. Works for up to a month.
Pretty litter. Also will give you the peace of mind ’cause it changes colors to indicate early signs of potential illnesses in your cat, like urinary tract infections, kidney issues, and more. Myself, as you know, I do not own a cat. I have never owned a cat. I probably won’t. Well, unless I end up with somebody who has a cat, then there’s that.
But what I’m saying is just because I don’t have a cat doesn’t mean I can’t promote pretty litter because everybody that I know who has a cat already has pretty litter. So while I have sent them the samples that pretty litter sent to me, I’ve given it out to my friends. They’re just like, sweet. Now I’ve got more, because this is the litter that I use for my cat.
I absolutely love it. I had one friend say, yeah. We, because of the changing color of the litter, we were able to detect a urinary tract infection in our cat and get it taken care of. Pretty litter helps Keep your house smelling fresh and clean. Try it and you will love it. Go to pretty litter.com/reality, Steve to save 20% on your first order and get a free cat toy.

As I mentioned in the open, this is a different type of Thursday. It’s been a while since I haven’t had an episode. My weekly episodic, well, I guess that’s, it’s kind of redundant, isn’t it?
Weekly episodic. My weekly episode usually comes out on Thursdays. Can’t remember the last time. It didn’t. Probably been 6, 7, 8 months, probably something like that. But sometimes when I feel it’s necessary and I feel like, okay, I can move my schedule around and just release it one day later, that’s what I’ll do.
So as of right now, like I said, not gonna name any names because it hasn’t been recorded yet. We’re set to record today. Just wanna make sure. All the i’s are dotted and the T’s are crossed. It doesn’t mean there’s a contract being signed. I’m just saying I don’t wanna jinx it. Just like I’ve jinxed everything else.
When I bring stuff up about, Hey, this person’s coming on the podcast, Hey, we’re gonna have a bunch of Love Is Blind contestants on the podcast. And then they ghost me. Hey, we’re gonna get a bunch of ti contestants, temptation Island, they’re all coming on. It’s like, yeah, they’re all teed out. They’re all podcasted out.
They don’t wanna do anymore as of right now. Then I go online and I see something last night where someone else is asking, Hey, send in questions for Ashley. Again, I’m throwing my hands up. I, I don’t understand what’s going on, but it is what it is. Can only do so much. Anyway, don’t wanna mention names for that particular reason, but we are set to record later today and I’m pushing it back a day because I feel this is an important conversation to have.
I will be playing the role of moderator in this interview, so maybe you can figure that out. Maybe you can’t, I don’t know, but that is the role as of right now, assuming everything stays the way it should, and I’ve double checked with both parties they are in for later on today. But you never know.
Something can happen. I don’t wanna, you know, it sounds like I’m being negative, but I have every reason to be negative because shit just happens to me when it comes to booking guests on this podcast sometime. But as of yesterday, they’re both in and they’re ready to go. I know one of ’em is definitely not gonna, gonna flake out.
That I know for sure. The other one, Hmm, we shall see. I don’t think they are based on what they messaged me yesterday, I. But you just never, ever know. I think you’ll like it. Like I said, it’s topical. I think it’s something a lot of people need to hear, and I think it’ll be a good discussion. Really do.
I’m very interested to see how it goes. I will say that, so no more teasing. You will know tomorrow. Actually, you might know later on tonight. Once it’s recorded and in the can, then I will probably start mentioning and teasing what to expect tomorrow. Survivor episode six last night, and we can say this for all those who have watched Survivor for a long time.
The merge episode, usually with about 12, 13, 14 people around there. It’s not the same every season. I think the producers of the show see how the show is going and decide, okay, let’s merge now. But it’s usually with around 12, 13, 14 people left is always chaotic because there’s so many people there.
They’ve just merged and it’s like. And before that merge, they’ve probably already been split up in tribes at least once. So it’s like, do I go back to my original tribe? Do I go back to my original tribe and bring in the people that I befriended on my new tribe in the last few days? You just never know where it’s head, it’s headed.
But one thing that was interesting to me was at the merge when they all met up, there was a note that said, Hey. We’ve thrown an advantage in the jungle. Go get it and say, ended up getting the advantage. And then the immunity challenge happens and it’s six versus six. There was 13 people right in the left in the merge, and it was six on six with say, getting to sit out.
Her advantage was she didn’t have to play in the first. Leg of this challenge, six versus six, whoever basically completed an obstacle course and finished a puzzle, first those six got a feast and moved on to play for solo immunity. The other six definitely get nothing. Then say, joins the winning six and they compete in the second leg of the immunity challenge.
But what I’ll say for this, you like to play on words there. What I’ll say about this is. That immunity advantage really didn’t do much for se, because while these people just completed the first task in an obstacle course and a puzzle and they were tired, it’s not like the second leg that say, got to compete in, was something that would test your cardio.
I guess. It tested your endurance and your stability. But the fact that say went out, what third or fourth in a seven person challenge pretty much proved her advantage, didn’t do her any good. If the advantage was, and the second part of the, the second leg of that immunity challenge was another, something that had you running around and tested your cardio, then I think say would’ve been at a huge advantage because these people had just been gassed by what they had to do.
Crawling through mud wood chips going up a sidewall with a rope ladder, and then doing a puzzle like, yeah, that takes some cardio, but second leg of the challenge, just hold onto a pole that has a ball on top of it. Whoever’s ball drops, loses and is out, whoever holds their ball on there. Platform the longest they win.
So yeah, this is something that I don’t think, I mean if say is being honest with herself that immunity advantage didn’t really help in that particular immunity challenge. And then when we get to tribal council, we got 13 people there. There’s so much going on. They had us believing that it was basically going to be either say or charity.
And then when Jeff is reading the votes and it’s five votes, say two votes, charity one votes Cedric I, to me, one of the few times in this show where I caught up with the editing on this, I knew charity was going home when she was down five two. ’cause it wouldn’t have been that obvious. And I think they set it up and read the votes.
In a way to where maybe you thought, say was going home. Yeah, she wasn’t. So charity ends up going home, but you can see the wheels turning in people’s heads that, Hey, we gotta get Eva out now. Charity was the one that was smart enough to be like, look, we don’t need to do it now. ’cause I think I, I put a target on us if we start throwing her name out now, or we go after her now, plus they know she has an idol.
She has Star’s Idol that Star couldn’t figure out, or the one that Star said gave it to Eva. So, unless you blindside Eva, which I guess is possible ’cause she’s admitted like, I’m not good with social cues. I’m gonna have a hard time reading social cues so people can lie to her face and she’s not going to quite grasp it.
I thought the interesting thing to come from last night’s vote was as close as Eva and Joe are, and we know they are. They didn’t vote the same. So did Joe keep something from Eva? Because Joe voted for charity who ended up going home? Eva voted for Say you would think that Joe, or Yeah, you would think that Joe.
And Eva would be voting together. They’d be talking about, alright, this is the plan. So it’d be interesting to see, maybe it ends up being nothing. Maybe that was the whole plan from the beginning to make it seem like maybe they’re not as close as they are. But I, I don’t think people are gonna be like, wow, Joe and Eva didn’t have the same vote.
They must not be close. I, I think it’s pretty obvious, right, from everything that we’ve seen, even if you haven’t seen the con conversation that we’ve seen just what happened at last week’s episode, but. The fact that they didn’t vote the same. I’m curious to know why they didn’t. ’cause I’m assuming they’re just lock and step the rest of the way and yet the first time they can vote together. They voted for different people.
