All right, moving on. One thing I wanted to talk about on Survivor from the other night that I did not mention in yesterday’s podcast is, look, I’m not gonna say this show is rigged.
But again, knowing that Rizzo and Savannah are the two contestants from season 49 that do appear on season 50 and going into Wednesday night’s episode, they were in the Minority Alliance, it was Alliance of Three, those two, and Sophie versus the other seven, and what do you know? Not only did they survive the episode, not only.
Did they survive it? But Savannah ends up winning immunity and Rizzo with an idol gets sent to tribal council in a tribe of five, where he is the lone person who everybody should be voting for. He doesn’t even end up having to use his idol. No votes are placed against him and he advances. There’s obviously so much that they can’t show or they don’t show because they film so much and we’re getting, you know, 90 minutes a week and less than that when you factor in commercials probably getting 50 to 55 minutes of actual content every Wednesday night.
But it almost seems like the show knew they liked Rizzo and Savannah the best and they were gonna do things that. Put stuff in their favor. I don’t know. I mean, I guess you can’t predict that Savannah was going to win that immunity challenge, but it’s not lost on me that the final three or four people left in that particular immunity challenge, which is standing on stumps that get smaller and smaller.
Not very surprising that I think the final three or four people in that challenge were all women because women have smaller feet. Naturally those guys, every single guy in that challenge severely struggling. And then you sit there and you watch Savannah, and I’m sure she was internally struggling, but foot wise, she wasn’t constantly moving her feet around trying to find the best placement for her.
Probably ’cause she has really tiny feet and this has been going on for years on Survivor. ’cause they always seem to have some sort of balancing challenge. And it always seems to be, not all the time, but most of the time it does seem to be women who excel at that because they have smaller feet and they can balance a little bit better on little nubs that get smaller and smaller.
If you have a giant foot, it’s just damn near impossible. Seems to be just physics. And it, the timing of it and the fact that, and look, it’s not like I’m saying like, God, I want Rizzo gone. He’s entertaining. I can see why they brought him back for 50 and I don’t even know how he finishes up this season or what else he does this season.
I just know he goes pretty far because they’re not bringing the sixth and seventh place finisher from season 49 onto 50. He has to do something, as does Savannah, that makes them memorable and. I just find the whole thing interesting about how it came to be last night’s episode. It’s like, oh, the timing to do it now.
It’s almost like, because we didn’t see how the teams were picked. Maybe it was a schoolyard pick. I don’t remember if he said, let’s do a schoolyard picks, and they just didn’t show it. But it was just very, very convenient that at a time where, look, the show sees it. The show knew after the last tribal council, this is a seven to three vote.
And they probably said, let’s switch it up to make it different. So there is a lot of luck involved because it looked like the next three gone were Sophie, Savannah and Rizzo, the other team and the majority Alliance was just gonna pick them off. So the show says, okay, let’s throw a wrench into things.
Let’s put ’em up into two tribes of five and let’s see if we can save one of them that way. If not both of them and both of them ended up getting saved. That’s all Special forces last night I thought was. Interesting because the one guy that I did not think would voluntarily withdraw was Randall Cobb. I mean, I am, I take back what I said at the beginning of the season about Gia, Judas, I am stunned that she’s still there, and I’m not only am I stunned, I’m overly impressed by her like I am.
I’m blown away. Because not only is she still there, she isn’t really whining. She’s never really gotten to a point where she’s like, I can’t do this anymore. She just pushes through everything good for her. It seems like if anybody is going to drop in the final episode before the end, it would be Brianna.
But if Brianna made it to the end, I wouldn’t be surprised. Because I don’t think Andrew and Sean are not not making it. I can’t see one of them dropping. And the other one, if one of ’em drops, the other one’s going Just like with Jesse, James Decker and the other one, I forget his name. Well, his name I’m already forgetting.
I’m already forgetting the Deckers, but you know what I’m talking about. So that leaves the Andrew East and Sean Johnson. You’ve got Gia, right? Brianna Chicken Fry and the polygamist dude, Cody,
usually they’ve had somebody drop in the finals in the final episode. Outside of Brianna, I don’t see any of ’em dropping. So Brianna drops. I think we’re gonna have four winners to this season, which I think is tied for the most that they’ve had. But it is brutal and I’m really, GIA has impressed me and Brianna’s impressed me too.
Last night she got a little whiny, looked like she was going to quit, but she didn’t. So she pushed through. But Gia just, she’s a little fighter. I like her now. Never seen any of her shows. We don’t know anything about her, but props to her for sticking around and fighting through this and not whining, not saying she wants to quit.
She’s in it and the staff is really impressed with her. And finally, I’m still spit balling things about what to do on the Patreon channel. Like I said, it will be some watch parties of movies and TV episodes. We’re not gonna do a full watch of a full season of a TV show. It’s just impossible. I’m just gonna try and pick and choose some memorable episodes from TV shows that maybe some of you have seen.
Maybe you haven’t, but I’m not gonna just be like, oh, they just wanna watch a random episode that I liked. It will be an episode of something that. Either was hilariously funny or really, really good, powerful, something like that, and it’s gonna start next week. I’ve got a Zoom meeting on Monday. With Patreon to kind of go over everything and finalize everything because there’s just a lot of technical stuff.
I’m sure I’m gonna have some technical glitches in the beginning, so I hope people bear with me. I’ll get it worked out, but I want to have as much ready to go by that first episode and the first post as I can. And yeah, there’s just a lot of little things that I don’t know about. You know, I, I, I text Dave every once in a while and I ask him about things and, and he helps me, but I don’t wanna bog him down with, Hey man, can you walk me through everything on Patreon, on how I do this?
It’s not as simple as just, oh, here’s a page and post your video, like. I’m doing videos that are gonna be Patreon only. I’m gonna do videos that are gonna be on Patreon and then gonna be on my YouTube channel. I’m gonna do videos on Patreon where I strip the audio from that video, and that will be a podcast later on.
So basically to be a member on my Patreon, you’re just gonna get things, you’re gonna get some things exclusive in terms of the watch parties, but then the other stuff, you’re basically just gonna get first. You’ll be able to hear it first. Not that you only have to be on my pitch on, that’s the only way you can hear it.
That’s just for the movie watching. And the TV episode watches the live watches that we do with those. So just a little fun. It’s also gonna be a little community where obviously you can chime in, give your thoughts, and you know, there will be a monthly fee of $5. There’ll be. I know I’m gonna do a yearly, you can sign up for a year and you’ll get a discount if you sign up for a year, or you can just do it monthly.
I need to see if you can do like a six month signup as well. And if you do a six month signup, you would get a discount as well on that too. So I. The monthly, if you just want to have it recurring, it’s five bucks a month. That’s it. It’s not gonna be a lot. And you know, I’ve always felt weird. This is the first thing I’ve ever asked for money-wise when it comes to me.
And anything that I have done on my website or my podcast, I never have. I’ve just never asked for anything. Everything I’ve ever done has been free. My website has been free, my podcast has been free. So. This is the first time and it’s just to do things. And it’s more about because time is money. So if I am gonna spend time dedicating to a Patreon and the time it’s gonna send take to put out more videos and.
Promote them, label them, send out clips, all that stuff. That just takes time. And you know, time is money. So, but it’s not gonna be, I don’t think a giant burden on any of you that are interested in, in wanting to do this, you know? So I’m excited. I’m excited about doing this. I don’t know when the first watch party is going to be.
It all depend on Monday, zoom, be honest with you, and. Again, I just wanna make sure I have all, everything set and ready to go and make sure that, okay, this is how I do it. Everything is linked up, and if something goes wrong while I’m doing a live, I know how to correct it. Or at least have somebody in there with me that can help.
So, and I’m sure as it goes on, I’ll get used to it and I’ll make, it’ll be much, much easier, but. Look for that. Starting next week. There will be tons of promotion. I’ll be putting it out on my pa on my Twitter account, on my Instagram stories. I’ll always be including a link. Hey, sign up to the Patreon here.
Not gonna be hard to find. It’s patreon.com/reality. Steve, not gonna be hard to find. The page isn’t live yet, but that’s gonna be the address. But I’ll always include a link for anyone to sign up, you know, promoting it. Hey. Later on tonight, two hours, countdown. You get emailed on it. You get notified every time a video has gone up or is going up.
If we’re doing a live watch party, I can schedule an email to go out an hour before, two hours before. So those of you that are part of other people’s Patreons, you know how it works. I’m still learning how it works. ’cause I don’t really know. I’ve never been a part of anybody’s Patreon. I’ve never, you know, as good of a friend as Dave is of of mine.
I’ve never watched one of his Patreon videos. I don’t even subscribe to his Patreon, so I don’t know how it works. Some of you that are listening to me right now are probably subscribers to Dave and or others, and I’ve seen some of the other pages and I’m like, okay. I get it. I get how it works. Game of Roses as well.
Some of you were probably subscribers to, she’s all batch. I don’t think they have their Patreon anymore, but Game of Roses and, and Dave definitely have Patreon accounts. I know that some of you listening are, are probably most definitely subscribers to theirs, so I just hope you join. Mine’s gonna be different than theirs.
They’re gonna be breaking down reality TV on every single video that they do. Mine’s gonna be a little more lighthearted. Mine’s gonna be a little more. Let’s have some fun. I will do breaking stuff in Bachelor Nation when it happens and just be like, Hey, going on my Patreon right now and we’re gonna talk about this.
Or even something in pop culture, and then it would just go to my YouTube channel after that. But it’s always fun to do stuff live and. Have an interaction. That’s the big thing, is the interaction with all of you that you have a chance to contribute during any of these videos, whether it’s live watch of movies or TV shows, or anything regarding Bachelor Nation, we might even do, you know, reader emails might be a weekly thing on my Patreon.
Because that’s a real easy thing to do is you all sent in, you can just ask your questions right there in real time and we put ’em up. So still a lot to, a lot of kinks to work out, but I’m excited. Looks like it’s coming next week. Like I said, it’s gonna be five bucks a month. You can sign up for a year whenever you want.
You’ll get a discount on that. I just need to see if you can do, I mean, if you can do a yearly one, I would think you could do, if I could, I could set it at six months. If you wanna sign up for six months and get a discount on that. So anyway, thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it. Follow me on Apple Podcast.
Also rate and review, but you gotta hit play. It’s the only way it counts as a download. Sports Daily coming up in an hour from now. Let’s go check that out. Again, thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it. Have a great weekend everybody, and I’ll talk to you on Monday. See you.
