Daily Roundup 1/27 – Kat Izzo Talks About Her Breakup with Dale Today, Joan Updates on Chock, Love is Blind Announced Their City for Season 10, Survivor 50 Update, & Laura Owens Criminal Case is a Doozy

You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality. Steve Podcast, I’m your host reality. Steve, thank you all for tuning in on this Tuesday. Good stuff today. Later on today, we are getting Kat izo on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. Yes, I, I almost said almost famous, but she can be on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast for the first time, talking about her breakup with Dale Moss, which again, I was thinking about this.

Oh, okay. I’ll get to it in a second. But basically we’re gonna talk about Kat Izzo going on. Bachelor Happy hour today. It’ll definitely be covered in tomorrow’s podcast ’cause we wanna hear what she has to say today. But that’s coming up today. Joan releases an Instagram video about her and Chalk Love is Blind.

Announces the city that they’re in for the season. Coming up in a couple weeks, February 11th, we’ve got update from the premier of Survivor and big news in the Laura Owens Clayton Eckard case. Actually, her criminal charges from the. Maricopa County’s attorney’s office. So let’s get started. So, as I said in the open, Kat Izzo is going on Bachelor happy hour today to talk with Rachel Rekia and Charity Lawson, and she’s gonna be talking about her breakup with Dale.

This was over a month ago when we basically started seeing headlines, but none of them ever released a statement. None of them posted anything on Instagram. Nobody posted anything on TikTok. There was just us weekly sources and daily Mail sources saying This is what happened, and they are now broken up.

And you knew it wouldn’t be too long before one of ’em said something because you know, I’m honestly, honestly trying to think of every couple, either from Bachelor in Paradise or. Bachelor pad, bachelor, bachelorette. I can’t think of one couple that has never done some sort of Instagram post or podcast interview, except for one.

As far as I can remember, and this is a while ago. This was over five years ago, but I don’t think that Taisha and Zach Clark. Maybe they did an initial one saying that they were no longer together, but neither of them have ever gone on a podcast and spoke about their breakup. I don’t think, I mean, I give them credit because, I mean, it’s, if they did, it definitely didn’t make news.

So that’s one of the few couples, and I’m talking Maine, people from this franchise that literally never said anything about their breakup, but you knew it was coming. Either Dale was gonna go on a podcast or Kat was, and it’s coming today. We’re gonna hear what Kat has to say. ’cause we literally know nothing.

Kat made that one comment on one of Dale’s tiktoks when Dale’s recapped his year of 2025, and she made a comment like. Funny or ironic, this is coming from you where he was just very vague about his 2025 and, and, and stuff. So you knew it wasn’t great because it seemed like it was a shot at him. So we’ll get some tea today I’m sure, because Kat’s not going on that podcast to be like, yeah, it was an amicable breakup.

Things were great just didn’t work out. Next, like, no, she’s not going. She’s not going on a podcast to say that. I could guarantee you that. It’s just a matter of how deep she goes with this tea and what she actually says about it. So we will cover that in tomorrow’s podcast. But if you want to go, listen, I’ll be listening today to Bachelor happy hour when Kat goes on with the new hosts of Bachelor.

Happy Hour. Rachel Rekia and Charity Lawson. Speaking of relationships in the Bachelor. Bachelorette, golden Franchise Joan or her first Golden Bachelorette took to her Instagram to talk about her relationship with chalk. And the caption on the video was like somebody’s question to her that she put on the screen that says, what’s going on with you and Chuck.

And then there’s about a, it’s probably about three minute video where I’m paraphrasing here. The short version is they are still together. The longer version is they do not live together. She’s still in Maryland. He’s still in Kansas. Well, wherever he lives, they have a lot going on in 2026, she says she’s got a son that’s getting married and she doesn’t think there will be a wedding in 2026 Between her and Chalk.

She says they spend a lot of time together. They travel to see each other, but no, they are not living together. They each live separately, but she made it known that this is what works for them. She was very nervous about Final Day on Golden Bachelorette. She didn’t know if at her age that she was ready for an engagement and she didn’t want to necessarily get engaged.

To somebody that she barely knew, which is, yeah, I mean, that’s what I’ve literally been saying since I started covering this show. People think I’m like hating on these people. I’m like, no, I’m just being realistic. The only reason these people say yes at the end of Bachelor and Bachelorette is because the show wants them to.

They’re pressured to say yes. Could you say no? Of course, but you’re gonna let a lot of people down that literally just filmed you for eight weeks and built a show around you. So we all know this. It was just funny to hear Joan say it. And the other thing that Joan said was. She even threw in a line there about, it’s a television show, and I know that’s what the show wanted, so it was almost like, okay, I’ll do this for you.

But as I say, at the end of every Bachelor Bachelorette season, the engagement isn’t, it’s not that it isn’t real, but it doesn’t really mean anything because it’s not like you have to start wedding planning now because you guys are engaged. It’s just, hey. You’re the person that I want to see more than the other people that were chosen for me by a casting department.

You’re the one I’m choosing. We’re gonna do this engagement thing because this is what the show wants. And then the relationship starts at that point. And most of the time, as we know, just factually, the numbers dictate. It doesn’t work out for most of these couples, which is fine, but it was just funny to hear Joan admit it, but she did say her and Chalk are great.

She loves that. He’s in his life, he’s in her life. But it doesn’t look like a wedding will be happening in 2026 because she’s got too much going on and he’s got too much going on. And she lives in Maryland and he lives in Kansas, and that’s that. But they’re great. She loves him and she’s so happy he came into her life.

So it was a, a very positive message from Joan. But if you go to the Instagram page and you immediately look at it, you’re like, you’re seeing this question written on the video. What’s going on with you and Chuck, and then you’re listening to a three minute video and you’re thinking she’s about to tell us.

Oh. We have decided to end things. You know, obviously it’s Joan’s account. She can say whatever she wants and it ended up being a positive message. I’ve just never. Maybe she was just getting a bunch of stuff online and people questioning whether they were together. So she felt like ending it. I, I’m guessing that’s why, I guess that’s why she did it.

’cause I was sitting there going, why is she doing this? They’re either toge if they’re together, why does she have to announce that they’re together? Just let it go. Your relationship is your relationship. You don’t, you don’t owe these crappy ass fans and these trolls that bother you about it and hit you up all the time.

Are you and chalk still together? You don’t owe them anything. Why aren’t she making a video? But it’s her life. She can do whatever she wants and it looks like she just wanted to end any speculation. I didn’t even realize there was speculation out there that maybe they weren’t together. ’cause I remember she posted that they literally spent all of December in New York together.

Right? You don’t spend a month with somebody that you’re not together with. You wouldn’t think so. She put the video out, they’re still together and things are going well between them. This podcast is brought to you by Ali, you know, being snowed in here in D Alaska. That’s what they’re calling it out here.
