    Less than a week away from the premiere and things are beginning to ramp up. Most notably, Becca went on GMA this morning and revealed that she is engaged. That shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone considering that’s now 20 of the last 21 seasons that ended in an engagement. The fact that she did reveal it before the season could be kinda surprising, but it’s not unprecedented either. It’s definitely happened a few times before. I know Jason Mesnick did it.     I recently read a story about a woman who was arrested after sending 65,000 text messages to a man with whom she’d gone on a single date. Wrapped in a noose-like psychosis, she would send around 500 texts a day to this guy. A few of the texts were probably sweet, you know, in a deranged sort of way, but others included lines about how she wanted to bathe in his blood. When she was finally tossed in jail for stalking, she happily gave interviews where she spoke of her deep love for a person she’d spent one evening with and then she widened her scope of conversation to blather about the Illuminati. I’ve read Andy’s stuff for years, you’ve seen me link to his writings numerous times on Twitter, so I wanted to have him on to talk about media/TV in general. Andy also teaches media classes at Stetson University which is something we dive into right away since I wanted to know what media classes nowadays are like versus when Andy and I were both in college in the last 90’s.
