Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes yesterday. Benihana’s was a rousing success, unbelievably enough. My niece and nephew actually liked their food. I think Nicholas has a new favorite restaurant now. He’d never been so of course he’s excited about it. I think if you ask him next week he won’t care, but hey, at least for one night it worked. Anyway, very excited for you all to listen to Podcast #28 today with Lesley Murphy. She appeared on Sean’s season and was eliminated right before hometowns, and we talk about all that stuff, but I think her life post-show has been quite a ride. She’s lived in Argentina, she is just recently out of 4 year relationship, and underwent a double mastectomy within the last couple months. To say she’s been through a lot would be an understatement. If you’ve followed her at all on social media, you know how open she’s been about the whole process. She’s inspired so many women and it’s really amazing to see. As always, if you want to respond to the podcast, please include Lesley’s Twitter handle (@LesleyMurph) in your reply so she can see it. As a guy who’s never been out of the country to talk to someone who seemingly is in a different country every other week, it was quite interesting. Hope you enjoy…

I only had one “Dr. Reality Steve” this week so I will just include it with next week’s batch. So you can start getting your emails in right now for next week. Also remember if you’d like to appear on Sharleen and I’s podcast beginning next month, have a relationship/sex/dating/marriage question and have access to Skype Audio, contact either of us and let us know your situation and your availability. We’ll be taking your calls for the show as we discuss all things having to do with relationships. Can’t wait to get started on this show since Sharleen is one of the most opinionated and well spoken contestants this show has had. You all seemed to enjoy her when I had her on the podcast in March so I figured why not make her my co-host for this venture with Stitcher Premium. Excited about this opportunity.
Send all links and emails to: steve@realitysteve.com. To follow me on Twitter, it’s: www.twitter.com/RealitySteve. Instagram name is “RealitySteve,” join my Reality Steve Facebook Fan Page, or listen to all my podcasts at Apple Podcasts. Talk to you next week.

I know. Steve’s grammatical mistakes can be really funny. LOL
A quick fix: “The podcast that Sharleen and I are doing.” Or, “our podcast.”

Steve’s grammar is atrocious in every post. It used to drive me crazy especially since he considers himself a “writer”. Ugh. No way. I have learned to get past that AND his repetitious writing. I fast forward to the spoilers every time.

Loved the interview with Lesley! This is my favorite podcast thus far. She’s such an inspiration.

To be fair, many bloggers are grammatically challenged. They’re not really traditional “writers” with English or Journalism degrees. So I’ve learned to adjust my standards accordingly. As with most of these bloggers, if their grammar greatly bothers a particular reader, that reader probably won’t continue to read the blog for long.

Very few people are professional writers, which is fine. However, it doesn’t mean that they should just slap material on the internet without editing it first.
Most of Steve’s mistakes are embarrassing stuff that he should have learned in middle school. If he took the time to proof his column before he put it online, he would have caught most of this (and hopefully, eliminated a lot of the repetition).
That’s the part that tickles me: that he considers himself a writer, but he isn’t willing to do a basic edit of the column that is his primary source of income. It makes him look sloppy.

For those who are pointing out grammatical errors, I see your point but you don’t have to attack Reality Steve to get your point across. In my opinion, sure there may be grammatical mishap here and there but it’s not a huge deal to me. Would it be nice to keep in mind for future reference, sure. He’s writing a lot of content in sometimes a short amount of time due to the pressure of timeline. I usually want to read what Reality Steve has to say as soon as it is available.
All in all, I think you are fantastic Reality Steve. I am a huge fan of yours for years now, and your commentaries enhance my Bachelor franchise watching experience. For that I want to really thank you!
I have been really enjoying these podcasts, and this one with Lesley has been great! Thanks for your work!

Blah, blah. Who cares about grammatical errors. Anyway, great interview. Another fantiastic person with a great personality and easy conversation. Also, I definitely fell for the Angelina Jolie fake out, too!
