Very excited to have on this week’s podcast guest, Bachelor #16 Ben Flajnik. To say he had an interesting season (and post-season for that matter), would be an understatement. Know that going into this, I’m fully aware I probably could’ve done a 2 hour podcast alone just on his relationship with Courtney. But I didn’t want to make it all about that. And this also wasn’t a, “Hey Ben, Courtney said this about you with she came on the podcast, what’s your response” type of interview. We absolutely address their relationship post show in regards to what happened, how he felt when the show was airing and a couple parts of her book. I appreciate Ben’s candor on the subject. It’s not about who’s right and who’s wrong. That’s not what I was interested in. Both of them have their ideas about what happened in the relationship. You’ve heard Courtney’s and now you’ll hear Ben’s today. Pretty interesting dive into how he saw things, including what he thought he could’ve done better. As always, if you want to respond to the interview, please include Ben’s Twitter handle (@BenFlajnik) in your responses. Look forward to you hearing this one. And oh yeah, you’re gonna LOVE the ad this week (and for the next few weeks).

Episode 2 of the “He Said, She Said” podcast with Sharleen Joynt will be up today at Stitcher Premium. Click on that link, use the Promo Code: STEVE, and you can get the first month free. After that, it’s $4.99/month or $29.99 if you sign up for a year, which gives you access to all of Stitcher’s podcast library. It’s a monthly podcast that Sharleen and I are doing to talk about all things relationship/marriage/dating/sex based. Had a great first episode and I think you’ll like this one as well. We get you up-to-date with two callers from last episode to see how their situation has changed, if at all, since we last spoke to them, in addition to taking two calls this episode. Shay in New Jersey has to deal with getting dumped out of nowhere and Jennie from Australia wants to know how to deal with a boyfriend of 10 years who cheated and recently lost his job. I understand that some of you can’t/don’t pay to pay for a podcast, and I get that. It’s possible this podcast will become part of the Reality Steve Podcast in the future, but for the time being, we are under contract with Stitcher Premium to do this show as is. Check it out if you can, as the response to the podcast will basically determine if we go forward with it in the future and make it a free weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly podcast.
Send all links and emails to: steve@realitysteve.com. To follow me on Twitter, it’s: www.twitter.com/RealitySteve. Instagram name is “RealitySteve,” join my Reality Steve Facebook Fan Page, or listen to all my podcasts at Apple Podcasts. Talk to you next week.

Is anyone else getting a strange light brown screen overlaying the RealitySteve home page when they come here? I think it’s probably an ad, but I always click out of it right away without viewing, and then I re-enter the url for realitysteve.com, and the second time there’s no ad/overlay and the site is just fine. This happens most of the time I come here now. Is it just me?

There is an ad that pops up and overlays the screen until you close it, so that’s probably what it is for you. I can’t access Steve’s site on Internet Explorer; it has to be Chrome. It doesn’t display correctly on IE. I think the poll question has the wrong name. Shouldn’t it be Dean’s family and not Peter’s family?

justaviewer, I’m not seeing any such thing or any ads whatsoever. But then again I have an ad blocker installed as a browser extension. I’ve been using an ad blocker for many years and I actually have to thank Steve for that. It was 8 or so years ago when visiting his site and being annoyed by the ton of obnoxious ads that led me to search for an ad blocker. Life on the internet has been much sweeter ever since.
