Bachelor in Paradise 5

Episode 5 of the “He Said, She Said” Podcast with Ashley Spivey

Well, I had my first successful weekend away from Luka this past weekend. Somewhat. The good thing is the doggy resort said she was great for her first time, and in the times I checked in on her on their doggy cams, she certainly looked like she was having fun. She made a whole bunch of new friends and there was another beagle there that looked exactly like her, which kept getting me confused. With that said, she was at the resort from Wed thru Sat, then my sister picked her up and she stayed at my house with her and my niece on Saturday, then my brother-in-law stayed with her Sunday night before I came back yesterday. What’s weird is I told you every time I come home, Luka is begging and scratching to get out of the crate because it’s like I’ve been gone a year whether it’s been a few hours or 10 minutes. But when I walked in yesterday, she just looked at me. Didn’t make any noises or nothing. Then as I approached the crate to let her out, it’s like she was in fear. I don’t think she recognized me right away and looked a bit in fear. Took a while to set in it was me. Ultimately she was fine, but it was definitely a little weird that she was confused, I think, of who I was after not seeing me for 5 days.

As for Vegas, one of my best weekends ever. Could’ve been even better than that if somehow the Browns/Steelers game doesn’t combine for 6 TD’s in a downpour all game. What a bizarre game. That was for sure a kick to the nuts. Regardless, if you’ve never stayed at the Venetian in Vegas, you should. Different strokes for different folks obviously, and this isn’t any sort of ad for them, I just think for my money, it’s the best hotel on the strip. Great dining, best sportsbook, nicest table dealers – all around, just a fun hotel to be at and that’s why next season for the 5th Annual Fan Appreciation Party, even though the actual party is at the Rio, I’ll be staying at the Venetian, and anyone interested in a room discount it will from that hotel. I’ll know those discounts as we get into 2019, but just know in case you haven’t stayed there, it’ll be a little more expensive than Mandalay Bay just because the rooms are bigger. But trust me, it’s worth it.

Don’t forget Nell Kalter’s “Floribama Shore” episode 10 recap is now up for your reading pleasure. The season is winding down, but Nell is just getting revved up. See what I did there? Also, this is the last week of “Reader Emails” and “Dr. Reality Steve” for the rest of the calendar year, so get in any questions that you have today and tomorrow. Once next week starts, the plan is to bring “Daily Links” back to have reading material while spoiling Colton’s season. Not sure if it’ll be every day, but I’ll try and keep up on it better than I have the past couple off seasons.

Speaking of Colton’s season, as I told you last week, filming begins next Thursday night the 20th. I was told Colton was filming some of his intro package at the Chargers/Chiefs game this past weekend at the Stub Hub Center in Carson, CA. Also, apparently today he will be filming some of his intro package in Colorado at Angelo’s Taverna and the Carboy Winery. As far as the women go, I’ll be releasing some of them next week, so stay tuned for that. Got a lot of them already. Most I’ve ever had to start a season, so I just need some time to put together their basic profiles of age, city, job, college, pictures, and social media accounts. Doesn’t seem like much, but it’s a tad time consuming, especially when I didn’t do any work this past weekend.

And because I didn’t do any work this weekend, I completely blanked on putting together episode 5 of the “He Said, She Said” podcast with Ashley Spivey until about 1:30am last night. Procrastination is fun, isn’t it? Anyway, it’s finally here for you:

In Episode 5, Ashley and I start off by discussing the selection of Colton as the “Bachelor.” Then Mallory in North Carolina calls in to discuss recently having lost her virginity to a guy that ended up ghosting her (9:26). After that, Danielle in Canada comes on to discuss a topic that came up in an episode a few weeks back that I was looking for feedback on, which was how people deal with in-laws when they have kids and both sets of parents want time with their grandkids (34:09). Original theme music provided by Kate Bass and the song is titled “Blink.”

If you want to be a part of a future “He Said, She Said” podcast, be sure to email myself and/or Ashley, let us know your Skype screen name, what time zone you’re in, and when’s the best time you can record, and we’ll work something out. This has been a lot of fun to do and we appreciate all the calls we’ve been getting. We’re both amazed at some of the strength and courage people have to talk about some of the most private and sometimes intense issues people have. We just hope we can help in some way.

I’ve been such a fan of Jenna and have had a kind of girl crush on her – until now! She’s evil. I do believe Jordon was absolutely sincere and suspect he’s going to be devastated by this news. Jordon for bachelor!

I feel very sorry for Jordan. He’s head over heels in love with Jenna. I have no doubt he is going to be absolutely devastated.

I have a feeling that there are a lot of people who won’t believe this, and they are probably the ones who don’t follow the spoilers regularly and know about how fake these shows can be. I enjoy reading comments on Twitter while I’m watching the show, and there are so many people who are invested in the Jordan/Jenna relationship. I feel bad for Jordan.

I totally get the feeling she works as a dominatrix! The fact that she told this guy she’d bring a belt and whips and plus the fact that this guy talked about how she routinely has “lunch and dinner meetings with successful businessmen”…well let’s just say if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck… ?

Urgh! Erm…..I hate to say it, I doubt she’s the first nor will she be the last female within this franchise to be a total user and more. However, she’s simply the first to be outed publicly. I too feel sorry for Jordan, no matter how fake and produced these shows are, some of it is real and genuine. What a shame RS wasn’t able to warn Jordan beforehand.

She said she did it for her business and for the money. I know the contestants don’t get paid for participating in the bachelor nor the bachelorette. The pay can’t be that brilliant for BIP, moreso as she appeared halfway through this season of BIP.

As Jenna said herself….everything going to get ‘coconuts’!

WOW I feel so violated!!!! I know better than to believe in the “LOVE” that develops on Bachelor Nation shows, yet I get sucked in constantly! I, along with many other viewers, have been charmed by Jordan and Jenna and their adorable chemistry! I have been hoping they could really make it work beyond the BIP bubble, even before this stunning news. Feels like we have ALL been cheated on!

I feel bad for Jordan, but his modeling career has surely already greatly benefitted from his Bachelor Nation involvement. Now with this shocking revelation, and Jordan being played like a toy guitar by a conniving GIRL (tables are turned for a change in Bachelor Nation as RS noted), well, hopefully that will catapult Jordan’s modeling career even more.

Thank you RS for keeping us grounded, emphasis on REALITY!

    September 11, 2018 at 12:39 PM

    P.S….

There’s a couple of tweet replies to RS post on Twitter stating the text messages have been photoshopped and that a senders name doesn’t appear on an iPhone like that. I can’t see the first thing they identify as a clue to photoshopping, but the second clue, my iPhone doesn’t show the senders name like these messages do either.

RS has stated he’s verified it as all bona fide, so I’ll go with that.

That news just ruined tonight’s viewing. Of all the couples I liked Jordan and Jenna the best and thought they were so adorable together. I should’ve known better after she ditched Jordan for Benoit and played the two of them…I never learn!

    September 11, 2018 at 12:49 PM

@tinyred500, I don’t have an iPhone, but what does it show at the top where the sender’s name is? That seems legit to me, but again I don’t have an iPhone. On my Samsung the sender’s name does appear at the top of the messages . . .

  15. pugmom

    September 11, 2018 at 12:58 PM

It’s odd that she would say “Good morning Princess” unless it’s auto-correct and she sent it without correcting herself if she meant to say Prince. Also I zoomed in like a couple of others were mentioning on Twitter, this definitely looks photoshopped. There’s a slight color difference in the grey speech bubble in a square shape in the outer area. I hope that when RS says he researched thoroughly, he’s being serious. This is really odd.

  16. tinyred500

    September 11, 2018 at 1:03 PM

I think it’s legit too, because I just don’t think RS would publish it if he hadn’t checked it thoroughly beforehand.

On an iPhone, a sender’s initials are shown at the top in a grey bubble (initials of the first name and surname) and then the first name only underneath, in a much smaller text and not in bold text either. Nothing like the format of the text messages shown on RS site. I’m using an iPhone 6 Plus, ‘perhaps’ newer versions have changed their formats.

  19. winsomeone

    September 11, 2018 at 1:14 PM

I might add that she is incredibly stupid for putting all this in a text. The more I think about it, the less real this seems. But fact is stranger than fiction now a days.

  20. realitynyc12

    September 11, 2018 at 1:31 PM

I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s in on it. Although he did a heck of an acting job if he is, like seriously Emmy award winning performance so I am torn as to whether or not he’s in on it. Considering she wants to make him look bad, highly doubt they have an arrangement there. In which case, poor guy. I try not to judge slutty looking girls with huge fake boobs but in this case this one truly lived up to the stereotype, didn’t she? Yuck. If I were Jordan, I’d get myself tested….

  21. juhgtf

    September 11, 2018 at 1:50 PM

This can’t be real. I’m sure it was vetted, and matches Jenna’s phone number, but there are still plenty of ways to attach a real number to a made up text. I’m not saying all of it is fake, but perhaps some choice texts were added in. For example, who calls their male lover “princess?” What girl says “I can’t wait to put you in my mouth it’s gonna get real kinky?” I also don’t believe anybody would outright say “I’m better than him.” My guess is that it was a (gay) friend she was being playfully flirty with and the first few texts may be real. The one about Jordan and sex are not.

  22. joanne

    September 11, 2018 at 1:55 PM

This definitely makes her look bad, as it should, but I’m sure she’s not the only one who has done this. She just happened to get caught.

I only watched the first couple of episodes of BIP as it really bored me, but will be watching the reunion show tonight. I know it was taped before this came out, but curious to see how she reacts to Jordan tonight. It’s definitely not a real engagement, at least on her part.

  23. keddo

    September 11, 2018 at 2:13 PM

The text message screen captures look exactly like my iPhone on iOS 10. My phone is old and I’ve had people tell me their old iPhones have bogged down when they went to iOS 11, so I’ve been resisting it until I replace my phone. For now it works fine on 10.

  24. nitejen

    September 11, 2018 at 2:17 PM

WOW, if this is real, poor Jordan. I never cared for Jenna, but I hope Steve had more proof then just this text. Just google faking text messages and there are tons of programs out there that tell you how to do. One in particular called “Fake iPhone text messages” Shows you how to change everything in the text including adding a phone number and all the heading at the top. One guy did a text message that looked like it came from Michelle Obama and it looked soo real. Hope this guy wasn’t that stupid as Jenna could file all kinds of slander on him. Also, it could very well be real. So hard to tell these days as you can fake anything with technology.

  25. tinyred500

    September 11, 2018 at 2:19 PM

Yes, but does the senders name look like that at the top of the text? Mine doesn’t.

  26. littlelil

    September 11, 2018 at 3:06 PM

The names on my iphone absolutely display like that. Im finding it hilarious how many people are claiming these are fake/photoshopped messages when 1. RS made it clear he vetted them and 2. we know how desperate these contestants are, so is it really THAT unbelievable?

  27. tinyred500

    September 11, 2018 at 3:42 PM

I don’t doubt RS vetted these…see my first comment about it. I don’t see him risking his reputation by publishing something he isn’t sure of. However, few things are 100%, so there’s nothing wrong with peeps querying stuff. My own iPhone doesn’t show both names below the image circle, it could be showing how IOS and phone versions can differ.

  28. hastings

    September 11, 2018 at 4:42 PM

Pretty sure Steve isn’t stupid enough to fall for photo shopped messages. Just because he isn’t sharing doesn’t mean he doesn’t have lots of other proof like pictures. After all if he was wrong she would have a lawsuit for defamation of character.

  29. pvbruin

    September 11, 2018 at 7:32 PM

We can ALL speculate as to whether these messages are legit. Count me among those who would like more vetting before passing judgment.

for example, I find it fascinating how there are fundamentally NO PUNCTUATION/GRAMMAR ERRORS in any of these messages sent. I.e. no “ur” but all “you’re”, everything spelled out correctly and no truncated words, etc. Other than a single “Me and Jordan” instead of “Jordan and I”, when is the last time y’all saw a series of lengthy text messages could pass for standard English composition?

Perhaps I have underestimated Jenna’s attention to detail (or her likelihood of dictating the various messages into existence), but based on the show edits she doesn’t strike me as one would take such time to thoroughly spell out these various messages…

  30. stephanie93

    September 11, 2018 at 7:42 PM

With all due respect, those screenshots are TOTALLY FAKE!

Look at the time stamp and phone percentage.

You mean to tell me she texted him at the same time on different days at 11:18 and only one minute later (while he was writing the texts…) at 11:19? Oh and for good measure, his phone percentage didn’t change?! It’s not a coincidence, it’s fake.

I’d bet Steve did research the number but the screenshots are falsified; it’s easy to see.

  31. jwx3

    September 11, 2018 at 7:43 PM

I’m confused about one thing. Why would Jenna’s first text say “good morning princess” if she’s talking to a guy? Either way, the rest of it is indicting, but that was weird to me.

  32. con50355

    September 11, 2018 at 8:02 PM

Well it does make sense because he screenshotted the text messages at the same time. These aren’t in real time.

Yes my iPhone *looks exactly like that with no sender up top to in grey!!* We obviously don’t all Have the same iPhone. They are real — Moving on…

  35. mewey

    September 11, 2018 at 11:01 PM

It’s not fake, and it’s not a new format. My phone has always shown the sender’s entire name.

When you only enter a contact name into the “first name” field, it shows that exactly as you typed it.

When you enter a contact’s name by putting their first name in the “first name” field and their last name in the “last name” field then it shows up with their initials.

Change your contacts in your phone and you’ll see the difference. If the “last name” field is empty, it can’t pull the first initial of the last name.

  36. doctorocklock

    September 11, 2018 at 11:46 PM

Well I absolutely 100% don’t buy that Jordan wasn’t in on it. He’s not a good enough actor. And watching their body language during the finale and their “engagement”, I didn’t feel any real love between them. I’m 100% sure that Jordan has been in on the scheme from the beginning and this is also to keep their names in the media

She wants to be the new “villian”, I guess? I’m very disappointed in both of them

  37. doctorocklock

    September 11, 2018 at 11:49 PM

I agree that Jordan is in on it. He’s absolutely 100% definitely in on it. There is no doubt in my mind. Watching them together at the finale they didn’t behave how a super in love newly engaged couple behaves. And he’s been very quiet on Twitter since this “news” broke. He’s totally fake and we all always knew that. I’m actually only surprised it took this long for it all to catch up with him again. Oh well, he fooled us all for a short while lol

  38. tinyred500

    September 12, 2018 at 12:47 AM

I double-checked before I typed the above comment. I do have the first and last name entered into my contacts and in separate fields, and only the first name shows under the image circle (I have mostly initials only showing in the circle because I don’t bother with photos).

I never said the messages were fake, there are some differences and oddities about the messages, they could just be because of different versions of Apple OS and versions of phones.

  39. doctorocklock

    September 12, 2018 at 1:11 AM

This whole thing reads as fake alright. But fake as in the whole relationship was made up from the start and Jordan was in on it

  40. doctorocklock

    September 12, 2018 at 1:14 AM

Okay so does this mean we can all finally admit that Jordan is gay as a goose and they were faking their entire relationship for the publicity the entire time? Because am I the only one who suspected that for the longest time, and was like “Wow, I’m shocked that Jordan is actually hetero and into Jenna!”?

But now with all of this coming out, it all makes sense again. And I’m back to thinking he’s gay and they both cooked up this story just for added publicity

  41. beapancake

    September 12, 2018 at 4:33 AM

HA ha she thought she had it all figured out. Love the people that are claiming false… really grasping.

He might be a high maintenance twinkle toes and she’s teasing him – y’know INSIDE JOKE … I certainly have weird nicknames for my bf! That’s kinda the point..

  43. beapancake

    September 12, 2018 at 4:39 AM

I don’t think he’s gay at all. He’s just a different generation than you. In fact, he’s the only guy with hair on his chest, which is refreshing.

  44. dogmomma

    September 12, 2018 at 6:13 AM

Did anyone see that someone posted on Twitter part of a conversation that was between Jordan’s mom and someone else? Her name is Dina Kimball. She said they were devastated and something about having to hold her grown son while he sobbed and that they were laying low. I looked her up on Instagram and of course her account is private, but it was the same picture as in the screenshot that someone posted. That appeared to be legit, but then again after reading all the above comments I’m not sure what’s real any more. I hope the truth comes out.

Maybe I’m being naive, as I was one of the first to be skeptical, but I don’t think he’d go to such lengths to claim being blindsided if he was in on it. He sounds truly devastated. We’ll see how this plays out….

Anyone know what Jenna’s “business” is??

  49. rob22

    September 12, 2018 at 7:08 AM

First of all, Jordan is not a good actor, so if he’s pretending, it will come out. This is a guy who basically throws everything out there with no filter. So, he’s hiding some fake relationship? No, I don’t think so. I think lots of this goes on in this franchise, but Jordan is not capable of something like that. Speaking of no filter, did you get a load of Jordan’s continued bullying tactics on Tuesday night’s show whenever he feels attacked? While what Jenna did was a terrible thing and speaks very poorly of her in many ways, I’m not sure that Jordan is worthy of a whole lot of sympathy. It feels more like Karma for the way he treated many people on the show. Remember that scene in BIP after he threw the stuffed animal in the ocean (which was childish) where he loudly cursed some of the women? So, it wasn’t just some back and forth with David (who enjoyed it) or with some of the other guys. Jordan is not a good guy. At all. Honestly, I could do less of Jordan, especially if there’s now going to be a sympathy party that makes him seem like some innocent victim who’s really a good guy. That seems to be the way it’s going now & it bugs me.

  50. jlal

    September 12, 2018 at 7:13 AM

I believe it is true of Jenna and I don’t think for a minute Jordan was in on anything. I think Jordan is most likely crushed. I also am not surprised in the least, Jenny played with Jordan the entire time on BIP. It was obvious she was into other guys too. Granted Jordan showed his insecurities and immaturity, but Jenna played him like a fiddle.
