-When Dale and Clare spoke at the cocktail party, if you compared it to everyone else she had a convo with, you could tell it was different. For months everyone asked how could Clare fall so early for Dale, and I kept telling everyone at least wait until the show airs and we see it before you form an opinion. I think we’re seeing it play out. Clearly she already had him built up in her head pre-show from peeping his social media, but to see her react the way she did once she finally met him in person, whether it’s because she wanted it to work so bad or not, you could tell it was ballgame the second he arrived. For those asking, “Doesn’t this set a bad precedent? Why won’t any other lead be allowed to leave?” You gotta remember that Clare had 4 months to scope out anything Dale did on social media beforehand. None of the previous 39 leads before her did, and unless a pandemic shuts production days before it’s supposed to start again, none will in the future. Yeah, I’m sure JoJo and Becca and Andi, and whoever else were attracted to their guys immediately the first night. And maybe they had it in their head they were a front runner. But none of those women knew anything about their guys. That night out of the limo was their first look at seeing their face, knowing their name, and what they were about. You have FOUR MONTHS to look at someone’s social media posts and dig online about them, Clare absolutely knew way more about Dale going in, which is what makes it different than a lead who their favorites night one.
-Also for a first episode, they didn’t show much interaction of her at the cocktail party with other men. In terms of actually showing us her spending a decent amount of time with them. We had the Tyler/Yosef drama which Tyler says he was told by a mutual friend that Yosef was DM’ing another girl during quarantine and sending pics/videos. Already gave you my thoughts on this on page 1. You can’t tell these guys not to live their life during the shutdown when they had no idea if there would even be a season. I mean, does he even at least get SOME credit for ghosting her once he realized he was going back on the show? Because that’s what happened. Probably could’ve handled it better, but from what I’ve heard, he was talking to numerous women, he’s always been kind of a man whore, and this is just what Yosef does. Not to mention coming back from the show and pretending he’s Mr. Innocent. Like I said, he’ll show his true colors in the weeks coming. Actually, I think it’s next week where the blow up happens.
-The only other guy they really showed Clare spending much quality time with at the cocktail party was Blake Moynes. Clare tells him during quarantine, he actually reached out to her when she was feeling down and that broke the rules. But she appreciated it because she needed it at the time. I thought this was important for one major reason, and that’s people (including the media sites that jumped all over it with their click bait headlines) who said Clare and Dale were speaking and had a relationship pre-show. I highly doubt she would’ve told Blake that on the show, and even mentioned anything about breaking rules and contacting during quarantine, if she was doing the exact same thing herself. Hell, the fact that they DID show and admit Blake contacted her over break shows it wasn’t taboo to talk about, so if Clare and Dale were, they would’ve just leaned into it. I just don’t think the risk would’ve been worth it to either of them. As I reported this summer when every other outlet was reporting the opposite, no, there was no contact pre-show between Dale and Clare. Btw, have ANY of those sites retracted their statements? Of course not.
-Clare gave Dale the first impression rose in case you didn’t know. And oh yeah, Clare likes Dale. Good chance he’s the front runner. Also, probably, maybe, they are going to be sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g at some point. Just a hunch I have. Hell, haven’t we see a daytime shot of Dale and Clare in bed together in the promos? Yes, we have. Well considering we know Clare only lasts a few episodes and she doesn’t have normal overnight dates, they’re basically giving it away she’s with Dale. Last night was even our first look at Chris Harrison standing there while a limo pulled up, which we know now to be Tayshia. It’s the first we’ve seen of them even acknowledging a second “Bachelorette” without technically acknowledging it in the media, in writing, or in interviews. This whole season is just wonky.
-Rose ceremony time. Dale is safe with a rose. Seemingly forever and ever and ever. Clare: “So thankful for all of you showing up tonight, especially Dale…long night, Dale are you ok?…feel like my husband is in this room and his name is Dale…if I didn’t get to have a conversation with you tonight, I’m sorry, I was probably with Dale…this is such a hard choice for me, not really, because Dale…”
Blake Moynes, Easy, Ben, Riley, Zach J, Tyler S., Joe, Jason, Demar, Chasen, Jordan C., Blake Monar, Kenny, Brendan, Garin, Ed, Bennett, Zac C., Jay, Brandon, Ivan get roses.
“Clare, gentleman, it’s the final rose tonight. When you’re ready. Do you realize how many rounds of golf I played at La Quinta with my new Callaway Mavrik irons? Not to mention how many rounds I’ll be playing at Nemacolin? This is heaven. They pay me for this? Can I go to jail for stealing money?”
Yosef gets the final rose because, well, they needed drama.
As mentioned in the spoilers, in the next two rose ceremonies, these guys go home. I just don’t know which rose ceremony they go home in: Tyler Smith, Garin Flowers, Brandon Goss, Blake Manor, Jordan Chapman, and Zach Jackson. Yosef also goes home but he’s eliminated before the rose ceremony.
