The Bachelorette 16 - Tayshia

(SPOILER) Tayshia’s Hometown Date Episode Tonight, & Everything I’ve Been Told About the Ending

This season has been chaotic to say the least. We are a week away from the finale, and so many things I’ve been told throughout the season, it really has been difficult sorting through what’s legit information and what isn’t. Normally I’m usually pretty good at determining what info to post and what info to not post, as evidenced by my track record. Even the things I initially reported wrong (Ali’s, Rachel’s, Hannah’s, etc) I eventually was given correct info that I felt secure enough to change and ended up being right. This season? Not so much. I was already wrong on the initial spoiler pre-season that Ben and Zac were her final two. With Ben going home tonight, clearly that’s not the case. But now that we know he shows back up in the finale, so maybe the info I was given only knew that Ben was “in” the finale, so they assumed that meant final two? Who knows? (BTW, if anyone in Ben’s camp was saying he’s “final 2” because he showed up in finale and gets sent home then, I mean c’mon. That’s a reach. Your boy finished 4th, not 2nd, no matter what happens in the finale). Regardless, it was wrong. After yesterday’s spoiler that he wasn’t final 2, I did get a few emails saying, “Are you sure Ben doesn’t show up again, because I’m hearing otherwise.” Which we now know to be true, but I hadn’t heard that until being informed of it yesterday.

It’s kinda like being told “Brendan’s family didn’t show up for hometowns.” Since almost all hometowns usually means they’re meeting the contestants parents, again, I just assumed that meant no one showed up. I didn’t think to ask anything else. So that’s my bad. But I will always admit when I’m wrong. Always have and always will. Not sure why some people refuse to believe that. I’ve never made excuses. I’m only as good as the info I’m given. If it’s wrong, that’s on me, since I’m the one that has to determine what info to report and what info not to report. Hell, I heard something last night about a new Bachelor-world “couple” that I’m sure would make a lot of people happy. But it’s the first I heard of it, don’t have enough proof to know if it’s true or not, and if it is, I’ll let them announce it. Could I just throw it out there? Sure. But I’m not. Anyway, sometimes I’ll explain how and what I was told, but I’ve never made an excuse for being wrong about a spoiler. So just to drive it through people’s skulls:

I was wrong about Ben being final 2. He is eliminated at hometown dates.
I was wrong about Ben being final 2. He is eliminated at hometown dates.
I was wrong about Ben being final 2. He is eliminated at hometown dates.
I was wrong about Ben being final 2. He is eliminated at hometown dates.
I was wrong about Ben being final 2. He is eliminated at hometown dates.
I was wrong about Ben being final 2. He is eliminated at hometown dates.

(And I’ll still have people who say “He never admits when he’s wrong” even though I’ve admitted it every time. Uh huh. A LOT of stuff recently that is just factually incorrect about me. Kat informed me of what’s being said. It’s laughable. Oh well. Nothing I can do about that. Can’t and won’t defend myself against the ignorant).
