This season has been chaotic to say the least. We are a week away from the finale, and so many things I’ve been told throughout the season, it really has been difficult sorting through what’s legit information and what isn’t. Normally I’m usually pretty good at determining what info to post and what info to not post, as evidenced by my track record. Even the things I initially reported wrong (Ali’s, Rachel’s, Hannah’s, etc) I eventually was given correct info that I felt secure enough to change and ended up being right. This season? Not so much. I was already wrong on the initial spoiler pre-season that Ben and Zac were her final two. With Ben going home tonight, clearly that’s not the case. But now that we know he shows back up in the finale, so maybe the info I was given only knew that Ben was “in” the finale, so they assumed that meant final two? Who knows? (BTW, if anyone in Ben’s camp was saying he’s “final 2” because he showed up in finale and gets sent home then, I mean c’mon. That’s a reach. Your boy finished 4th, not 2nd, no matter what happens in the finale). Regardless, it was wrong. After yesterday’s spoiler that he wasn’t final 2, I did get a few emails saying, “Are you sure Ben doesn’t show up again, because I’m hearing otherwise.” Which we now know to be true, but I hadn’t heard that until being informed of it yesterday.
It’s kinda like being told “Brendan’s family didn’t show up for hometowns.” Since almost all hometowns usually means they’re meeting the contestants parents, again, I just assumed that meant no one showed up. I didn’t think to ask anything else. So that’s my bad. But I will always admit when I’m wrong. Always have and always will. Not sure why some people refuse to believe that. I’ve never made excuses. I’m only as good as the info I’m given. If it’s wrong, that’s on me, since I’m the one that has to determine what info to report and what info not to report. Hell, I heard something last night about a new Bachelor-world “couple” that I’m sure would make a lot of people happy. But it’s the first I heard of it, don’t have enough proof to know if it’s true or not, and if it is, I’ll let them announce it. Could I just throw it out there? Sure. But I’m not. Anyway, sometimes I’ll explain how and what I was told, but I’ve never made an excuse for being wrong about a spoiler. So just to drive it through people’s skulls:
I was wrong about Ben being final 2. He is eliminated at hometown dates.
I was wrong about Ben being final 2. He is eliminated at hometown dates.
I was wrong about Ben being final 2. He is eliminated at hometown dates.
I was wrong about Ben being final 2. He is eliminated at hometown dates.
I was wrong about Ben being final 2. He is eliminated at hometown dates.
I was wrong about Ben being final 2. He is eliminated at hometown dates.
(And I’ll still have people who say “He never admits when he’s wrong” even though I’ve admitted it every time. Uh huh. A LOT of stuff recently that is just factually incorrect about me. Kat informed me of what’s being said. It’s laughable. Oh well. Nothing I can do about that. Can’t and won’t defend myself against the ignorant).

However it ends is fine with me. The fact that people give Steve a hard time is funny and pathetic. I’d be happy for her if she does NOT end up with Zac. I have no issues with him as a person – they just don’t seem like a good fit. Brendan seems like a better choice.

I totally agree with Adelina. And I hope it’s Brendan. They are so cute together!

Kinda weird that people were upset about the Josh interview. I didn’t think it was a compelling Podcast, because the message really was “yeah, I cheated, but only once. And so I’m not this horrible person”. And yeah, he said Tayisha wasn’t a good partner financially (is that a big surprise?) and implied that she’s in it for the attention (again, is that a surprise?). It’s not like he dragged Tayisha through the mud. Except for the extent of his infidelity, everything else we kinda knew already.

Any chance she picks the right guy a.k.a. Ivan? I don’t see it with Brendon (he didn’t bring anything to the table AND not ready to even introduce her to his family), Ben who obviously has mental health issues and Zac (no, he looks nothing like Mcconaughey) who also has lots of issues.

Ha, ha, Steve’s really taking a chance by reporting stuff that MAY be true because we all know he’s going to get slammed if it’s wrong – “but you said…” At least he seems to know that going in. I do hope it’s Brendan in the end. They seem the best fit. Brendan’s looks are okay on the show, but if you look at his Instagram – hot! He’s super handsome. He must do some modeling. Ivan is also handsome, but wow, he needs to tell his brother that having a face tattoo is not going to help his employment chances. Those two brothers are totally different. Also, I’m calling BS on Matt James not knowing anything about The Bachelor. His best friend was on the show. You’re telling me he didn’t watch Tyler on the show? Nah.

@rob22, I agree.
I’ve just listened to Steve on Olivia’s podcast. She just didn’t get what Steve was trying to say about Josh. I said in a comment what Steve was saying to her on a previous page. Josh did the Podcast because Tayshia went public about the details of the break-up of her marriage, and she didn’t have to. Olivia saying ‘it’s the bachelorette so everything is public’, is a load of nonsense. Is she saying anything private should be aired in the public domain just because?! I certainly hope not. I suppose understanding somethings don’t need to be aired on national television (and thus remain private) just doesn’t resonate with her.
Being an such a publicly open book for anyone to mull over your private life, seems sadly, a sign of the times too.

I don’t care if the ending is right or wrong either. What’s wrong is dragging Steve when he is courteous enough to give us anything at all. But “ it’s his job”! That doesn’t give anyone the right to tell him how to do his job or to be infallible at it. He’s only human. I appreciate what he does. Stop it you morons! Haha!

@justsaying I like Ivan – he seems like a real and decent guy, but i just don’t see the romantic chemistry between Tayshia and Ivan.
