Steve, thank you for the great interview with Kelly. It was a nice surprise to hear discussions about subjects other than her impressions. As a parent who went through fertility struggles and ultimately adopted, I appreciated her frank discussion of her struggles.
On a lighter note, like Kelly I am a fellow grammar stickler. One word which I particularly noted first on the Bachelor franchise shows is the repeated use of the “pronoun” I’s in the ITMs, such as “Matt and I’s relationship.” It drives me crazy. It’s not a word. I have always wondered if the producers even know that, or if they include it to make the cast look stupid. I’ve heard it even from the leads.
Also, you mentioned that misuse of there, their and they’re bothers you, that you know the difference but only make a mistake occasionally in writing. Well, you can’t really make that mistake in speech because they’re homonyms, right? (Also, you’ve written their for they’re in the first few paragraphs of Joey’s spoilers.

Me again LOL. Heard your pod today about watching the premiere of Vanderpump. Wanted to weigh in on Ariana and Sandoval.
First let me say that Tom Sandoval was wrong and a disaster for what he did to Ariana. There’s no defending his actions. None. However, I’m kind of ready to move on from Scandoval, and I hope this entire season isn’t another season of those two going at each other.
I wanted to mention something because you’re new to the show. In past seasons, I cannot tell you how many times Ariana rolled her eyes over something Tom did or said. The disrespect was often and everywhere.
That is in no way a defense for Tom to cheat, nor an excuse. I just know that if Tom had done the same to Ariana over the years, viewers would have been screaming about a man treating a woman that way. Ariana got NO pushback.
I find it odd that those two continue to live in the same house when they (supposedly) hate each other so much. And there’s still an enormous painting of the two of them hanging on the wall? Make it make sense.
Just my $02. Sandoval is no prince, that’s for sure, but I don’t think Ariana is some queen, either. She has bounced back and is making the best out of a bad situation, but I don’t want to watch an entire season of her playing the victim.
Comment: Well as you know, I’ve only seen the reunion shows from last season and now this season. I asked a few people who’ve watched since the beginning if Ariana treated Sandoval poorly and not one of them said she did, man or woman. I mean, I gotta believe in ANY relationship eye rolling happens. I wouldn’t call that major disrespect to your partner, because it’s all on a situation by situation basis. We can’t even put eye rolling in the same stratosphere as cheating. He can’t justify what he did.

Hi Steve! Did you know that Tom Sandoval was actually on The Hills?!!! Lauren photographed him as part of her job (he was modeling). At some point, you must watch the very first Vanderpump Rules episode, and let us know what you think! And please watch last seasons finale when Ariana found out Tom was cheating! That episode is insane!!! I’ve seen the clips of it, so yeah, I feel like I’ve seen what I need to see.

I was listening to your daily roundup today about joeys finale and here’s my thought. When he says the ending isn’t something that has happened before, couldn’t he simply mean that no lead has ever gotten engaged to someone with a cochlear implant?
Comment: No. It wouldn’t be that simple. And that answer is about the “who.” I’m pretty sure whatever he’s talking about has more to do with a situation that occurs.

Hi Steve! I really want Jason to be the next bachelor. I want them to announce it early, and find women who actually want to date and marry him. Don’t you think this is a possibility?! Even though I think the smartest move for him would be to find a woman with no social media page, and not a reality show, I can totally see the bachelor wanting him! Especially because Kaitlyn was so against Shawn being the bachelor after their break up. We’re still over 6 months away from them announcing who the next Bachelor is. And we still have a cast of guys coming up on the next Bachelorette season as well who most likely they’ll choose from. But yeah, I guess Jason will always be a possibility as long as he’s single.
Someone posted a theory in the she’s all Bach Facebook group that maybe Joey‘s runner-up breaks up with him before he can break up with her. That would be a first! Seems to be the one guess most people are guessing. Makes me think that’s not it. Too easy.
I really think that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey will get married. I know you said they definitely will not, but you also said that Colton was never going to be the bachelor because they would never have someone on three seasons in a row, and I wrote in and said he was 100% going to be the bachelor and he was going to be called the virgin bachelor. So let’s see which one of us are right this time! I think if his team wins the Super Bowl, the engagement will happen quicker. I think if they lose the Super Bowl, she may Have to see his grumpy side for a while! I ordered a shirt that says go Taylor’s boyfriend’s team. I will definitely be buying some real Reality Steve Merch next! I don’t mind Taylor Swift and the coverage of her at football games… It reminds me of Jessica Simpson when she was dating Tony Romo and of course every single time Tom Brady would make it to the Super Bowl, I would say, “another Giselle Super Bowl” Because the sites I look at – Us weekly, people, and daily mail, would focus on every single thing she would do or say… just as they do now with Taylor.
I’m so glad you clarified the date of your 25 things about me list. I was so confused! I knew I had done one, but it seemed like it had been ages ago. I can’t believe it’s been almost 15 years! I remember the author, Glennon Doyle, made a list that went viral, and led to her writing a book!
I think it is absolutely insane that one of your exes sat behind Nick on the plane after his break up with Andi, and now the winner’s sister is your nieces roommate. You definitely need to start buying some lottery tickets!

I think the complaints about Taylor being shown during the game has little to do with football fan purists. My take is that right wing media and social media are on an all out hate campaign on Taylor. Why? Because they know she is influential with young people and may encourage them not to vote for Trump. At the same time they claim Biden is senile, they claim he has rigged the NFL so the Chiefs make it to the Super Bowl so that Taylor will go to the field at halftime and endorse Biden. This nonsense is being spewed nonstop and right wing football fans are eating it up.
Just some examples from one right wing nutjob –
Comment: Yeah, I’ve seen that side complaining about her influence. It’s why politics is so ridiculous now. And yet, if Taylor was showing up to these games and had on, oh I don’t know, any sort of MAGA gear, they’d be losing their mind praising her. That’s how ridiculous this take is. God I hate politics.

Hello. Thank you for all your hard work and getting the info out there for those of us who can’t wait for the end. I do have a quick question – Do you have any intel on what happened on the final rose ceremony? I 100% believe you when you reported that he gets engaged to Daisy (which I am so happy for that – love them both) but the beginning of the show they make it seem like he is rejected – he looks really torn. I am hoping it’s just him sad about breaking someone’s heart (although that is not a good thing) and the producers are trying to make it more than it is. Plus they are teasing that it has never happened before which would make me think (just a theory – nothing to back it up) that maybe Kelsey proposed to him and he had to say no. Thank you – keep up the good work.

Hi Steve, could talk about the practice of planting contestants for the purpose of causing trouble and discord amongst the girls during a Bachelor season.
I’ve seen several articles within the past week or so speculating that Sydney Gordon is a ‘producer plant’. Sources: IMDb.com news, Screenrant, and The Express.com.
Sounds plausible especially since the whole controversy seems so manufactured and phony.
I’ve never heard you address it but I’m a relatively new listener to your podcast so maybe you have.
Comment: No, I wouldn’t call her a plant. She’s really no different than any previous contestant that a producer was able to get their claws into and really do a number on. It’s clear she was able to be manipulated into answering any question a producer was asking her when it came to Maria. And wasn’t realizing in the moment how it was gonna come across.
