I liken your Daisy/ Kelsie saga to you piiching a perfect game…. Getting to strikes on the 27th hitter only to have him check his swing and hit a bloop single to right. Tough one but you are stilling batting like .850 lifetime. Ha ha, someone else on IG said the same thing and just said “someone got a single off you after 8 2/3rds. And I came back with, “Actually, it was a fastball in on the hands and it was a broken bat single just over the infield.”
I could see why Joey did not pick Daisy. The guy is insecure about being rejected at the altar and up until now she has not given him the warm feeling things will change. Daisy is honest to a fault. He simply can’t risk the rejection. Maria is a loose cannon and I don’t think he ever had a strong feeling about Rachel.
That leaves the sure shot Kelsie who has the looks , charm and intelligence and clearly is into him.
Did Daisy self inflict the wound because she wants to be the Bachelorette? I don’t think so. I think she clearly doesn’t have it for him. Besides there is the chance she could not get chosen. Maria is a strong contender and I wouldn’t rule Lexi out.
Anyway, the show itself is far better than past seasons.
Comment: It’s been a good season. I’ve enjoyed it. I agree Daisy didn’t self sabotage to be the Bachelorette. That’s short sighted thinking for people who lean that way. There’s no proof behind it. They just don’t like her and find any chance they can to shit on anything she does. Miserable humans. But make no mistake, this is really between Daisy and Maria for Bachelorette.

I listen to your podcast and recently heard your take on the Love Is Blind couples “peck” kissing. Good observation! As a Gen-X, I am trying to figure out why the women on The Bachelor or Love Is Blind have the bad habit of “petting” their own hair while they talk. Have you noticed this as well? Guessing it is either A) ensuring their $500 extensions are still intact (or) B) narcissistic self-conscious prepping for the camera. Beyond annoying. ?

Comment: Haven’t noticed the petting their own hair. At least on the Bachelor. I feel like I see it a lot on VPR. Could it be their hair getting stuck to the makeup on their face? I don’t know. And we all know you have to have some level or narcissism to go on this show in the first place. This is widely agreed by even contestants themselves.

You’re sooooo right about The Floor. I enjoyed the entire season — until that wretched finale. I mean, WTF??? That win felt so unearned, so undeserved. I know it’s a big success in Europe, so I don’T know if they’re open to revamping it, but they should.
It just feels like there’s no reason to win throughout the season. As you said, just hide until the finale — and then win ONE competition and get the $250k. The $20k they gave away every week just seems so little.
Maybe they can add seconds to the bank of someone who’s won multiple competitions…I don’t know…I don’t have a fix, but that was lame. I checked on Twitter after the show, and A LOT of people were complaining about it. They gotta think of a better way. That’s IF it even comes back in the states. It might not even get picked up for a second season.
Re: Vanderpump Rules. Honestly, I’m getting bored with it. This Scandoval thing has run its course for me, and it feels like we’re getting the same thing every week and that nothing is going on.
Sandoval “tries” to apologize and really doesn’t, making things worse. The others are planted around him because…well, because we wouldn’t have a show if they weren’t. Lisa makes excuses for Tom, Ariana still hates him. OK then.
I understand Ariana hating Tom, but that’s zero fun To watch, and she does nothing else. Katie is a total and complete waste. James is funny at times, but a dog storyline isn’t exactly good TV. Neither is getting a nanny for Brock’s and Scheana’s baby. Neither is watching Tom Schwartz continue to be Sandoval’s bitch.
I know you just started watching the show, but as a longtime viewer, I think it’s run its course.
Comment: I thought last night’s episode was really good. Actually hit on things that were relevant along with some comedy to it. I spent 15 min on my podcast about it today. I had a lot of thoughts about it ha ha.

The season is not over yet! Just think of it as a spoiler to the spoiler! I think it made things more interesting!

Thank you so much for your article after the hometowns. Everything you said was on point! I cannot figure why people are so down on Daisy. The comments on X last night were unbelievable. It seems that people either love Daisy or love to tear her down! I liked all the final 6 this year. This group was not as toxic as some groups have been. Maybe that’s why people hated on Daisy. There’s no bad girl to complain about!
Comment: It was a great group of 6. But as I said today on the podcast, even though we’re 6 months away from the next “Bachelor” season to start filming and we don’t even know the women who will be on next season, mark my words, there will be serious hate thrown around on social media next season as well. I don’t know who, but it’s 1000% happening because this Toxic Bachelor Nation fanbase does it every season now. It’s disgusting.
