One of the other things that Maria talked about that I thought was interesting in the podcast was the fact that she had some choice words for Wells. And yesterday when I said, I really hope Maria addresses all these rumors that were said about her in regards to the bachelorette gig.
She said. That the gig was hers until it wasn’t. And Alex asked her, well, what do you mean? Well, I went for fittings. So it’s very hard to determine exactly what Maria means when she said it was mine until it wasn’t because multiple people could have gone for fittings. We don’t know this for a fact. I mean, I’m sure she went for fitting.
I’m not saying she’s lying about going to a fitting, but what if others went for fittings? Does she know this? And what does it mean when she says it was mine until it wasn’t? Did she really just say, um, you know, I just don’t want to do it. That’s what she is saying is what happened after she started doing the fittings and realizing the role that she was getting into.
She said she just got a little overwhelmed and it was too much for her and she wasn’t ready. Not to mention the fact she has really good friends with Jen and Jen had really wanted this gig. And I don’t know how to take that because it’s almost like Maria is saying, well, a part of me just wanted to give it to Jen because I know she wanted it more than I did.
So look, it’s no mistake whatsoever. Jen was not their first choice. Jen was not their second choice. I don’t care if it was Daisy first, then Maria or Maria first, then Daisy. It doesn’t matter. The show wanted Maria or Daisy before they wanted Jen. And they’re already behind the eight ball starting the season like that.
And the audience already knows it. I’ll fill you in on something else coming up, um, maybe tomorrow in regards to Jen’s season, but I thought that was interesting for her to say, because I don’t know. It just seems like she’s, I know a lot of people got upset at Daisy for basically saying on Nick’s podcast and the other podcasts that she has done.
Yeah. They offered it to me and I said, no. And everyone’s like, Oh, totally stepping on Jen’s toes. Well, then Maria did the same thing. She said it was mine until I said I didn’t want it. And Jen wanted it really bad. It’s almost like she’s like, here, I’ll give this to you as a favor. I, I, I don’t know. That’s the way I took it.
But, um, I understand her not taking the gig if she doesn’t want to do it. And she doesn’t feel she’s ready. Totally understand that it’s just the way it was presented. It’s like, yeah, Jen is our third choice. Like why? So why is the audience supposed to be excited? If the show is letting people say, yeah, they offered it to me and I didn’t want it, but she called out Wells for the whole gig about well saying, Oh yeah, I heard Maria.
Said she wanted her friend to be a producer and didn’t want her phone there and she said I heard Wells say it But at the time it was Jen’s time. I didn’t want to step on her toes So I had to keep my mouth shut, but now I’m saying it that is a lie and that isn’t true So she called Wells out called Wells out for saying like they’re gonna be they’re gonna regret this Well saying both Daisy and Maria are gonna regret this because they’ll be forgotten which they certainly won’t So, I don’t know where Wells is coming from with all that stuff I don’t know what his hate boner was for Maria, but I, at the time, well said it, I said, this is totally irresponsible.
And I know people in this franchise didn’t like, again, what I used to do. And yet they go and do the exact same thing. Nick does it all the time. Now Wells has jumped on the fray. It’s like, again, the hypocrisy. Is laughable. You’re literally doing what you guys told me I shouldn’t be doing. They won’t understand that.
I thought the interesting, one of the other interesting things was Alex saying they were set to announce Maria as the bachelorette on call her daddy. I think that was semantics. I honestly don’t think the first time if Maria would have stayed with the bachelor gig that she said they gave her bachelorette gig that they said, uh, she said they gave her and didn’t back out of it.
I don’t think the first time we heard Maria is going to be the Bachelorette would be on the call her daddy podcast. They’ve never done that in 22 seasons. I don’t see why they would do it now. What I think was going to happen and this could, and I could be dead wrong on this, but just the way this show works, it just, they’re not going to go to a completely outside source that they’ve never hyped up before ever and never promoted on their show ever.
Hell, the Bachelorette accounts aren’t even promoting the fact that Maria is on call her daddy as far as I know. So my guess is Maria would have been announced as the bachelorette in the normal way, whether it was GMA or after the final rose. And then her first interview would have been with call her daddy.
That makes more sense to me than she was going to be announced on call her daddy. I know call her daddy is the second most listened to podcasts on Spotify, but when in the world has this show in 48 seasons ever decided to release. The lead of the show and make their big announcement by giving it to somebody else and giving him their exclusive on their podcast.
That just doesn’t happen. So I took it as call her. Daddy was going to get the first interview with Maria once she was named the bachelorette, but Hey, I could be corrected. There’s more to talk about with this, but we’re 18 minutes in. I haven’t talked about anything else. So I just want to, I want to move on real quick and talk about a couple of things.
One. She’s all batch today has an interview with Kat Izzo up and Kat Izzo is doing her first interview since her breakup with John Henry. John Henry was on the almost famous podcast two or three weeks ago, two weeks ago, I think, and talk to Ben and Ashley and about his breakup and just saying he wasn’t ready.
He thought he was, but then he realized once he was in the trenches with cat that he just wasn’t ready and his job didn’t really pay off. Fit, uh, with being an engaged to cat and moving to San Diego. So cat responds today on the she’s all batch podcast. So go check that out, but she’s very, uh, open about this and it talks about how this happened, how it first started, who brought it up, who broke up with who, was it over the phone?
Was it over text? Was it over FaceTime? She goes over all that. So go check out She’s All Batches podcast interview with Kat Izzo today. Um, I told you that I’m catching up on The Valley. I am now five episodes in, but of course it was impossible this week to not look good. Uh, it was impossible this week to not find something online about which couple outside of Jackson Brittany are not together anymore.
So I was spoiled, unfortunately, by the social media and seeing that Jesse and Michelle not only are divorced or separated, but I’m assuming they’re divorced because they’re both dating new people. I can’t imagine they’re dating still, you know, I mean, maybe the divorce is going through and the paperwork hasn’t been finalized, but they are definitely not a couple anymore.
I guess I can’t say I’m surprised. That’s the couple that I thought it was two episodes in, but now seeing that they’re both dating somebody, I just saw the episode where. Um, Kristen’s guy and Jack’s were basically hemming and hawing about the fact that they know, Michelle, they’re insinuating that they know Michelle has cheated on Jesse with either a famous actor or a famous producer, director, something like that.
So that’s in there. And the episode that I just saw, I’ve only got two episodes left to be caught up, um, last week’s and then this past Tuesdays, but yeah, I’m all in on, on the Valley and. The Jesse and Michelle breakup, I can’t say I’m the least bit surprised about. Um, Jax is still incredibly unlikable.
I’m really curious to see if anything develops with the latest rumors going on about him, why Brittany unfollowed him, all that stuff. Uh, and why Brittany, um, may have unfollowed their PR person. Neither of nobody’s addressed it. It’s out there. You’ve Google it. You’ll find the story, you know, but it could be rumors.
So we don’t know because nobody has actually spoken up about it. But maybe it’s going to be a storyline of the valley. Like, I don’t know what the valley’s filming schedule is. Maybe it’s being filmed and it’s going to be on season two of the valley. I don’t know. So maybe that’s why nobody’s saying anything, but, um, Jesse, Michelle, certainly, um, he’s very, very toxic.
And I mean, Jax is too, but watching their dynamic, I, I can’t say I’m surprised. At all. And I can’t say I’m surprised that both of them have found somebody new. So Vanderpump rules sandwich shop is opening for Ariana and Katie. Something about her is opening officially open date, May 22nd. So we are getting an opening for something about her, which seems like it is about taking forever.
What is it? A couple of years now, almost a year and a half, two years. May 22nd, it’s opening and it’s going to be a sandwich shop. And then finally, I just want to end with this. Did you see, you know, Ryan Gosling is in a new movie with Emily Blunt called the fall guy. It opens in theaters, I think this weekend, if not this weekend, next weekend.
And he shows up to the red carpet event on Tuesday night in the Beavis and butthead costume with Mikey day from SNL because of the viral clip. That happened when Ryan Gosling hosted three weeks ago, and I’m sorry, that is just iconic because when you show up to a press event to your movie and you’re the star, you usually don’t do a bit.
And the fact that he committed to this Beavis and Butthead bit for this movie premiere is so awesome. That guy’s the best. Uh, if you haven’t seen it, go, go download the SNL clip. It’s that funny. But yeah, this is something that it’s legendary, that clip top two or three that he’s ever been in on SNL, if not number one, obviously everyone’s got their likes and dislikes, but yeah, that is a, that is very interesting.
